Info on doppelganger:
They're just a random button. On game start, they pick a random class and copies everything from that class.
BUT, if you kill mega death with them, you will unlock Chaos, which is the funnier doppelganger (copies equipment, stats and ability from random classes)
Good to hear, man I really wish the achievement was for "Win with 10 different Chaos variations" then because it really doesn't sound that interesting to do 10 doppelganger runs.
@@Retromation I did the achievement with 3 doppleganger + 9 chaos runs, both work. It took me 12 because 2 were repeat abilities.

I don't know if you know this but if something says like lets say 10% MORE damage its multiplicative while something that say 10% INCREASE isn't the game doesn't really tell you that, other people might not have known that either.

The knight that charges through the center is meant to be fought as a joust, just charge and dash into him, it is a fun thematic that way.
You should try to get the meta progress that makes the rarity boss reward go to all items. Feels really cool when it says “All items are at least legendary”
There is a blue talent that halves your equipment load capacity and gives 100% crushing hit (Glass cannon i think). That would be a insane combo I imagine.

yeah I was really hoping for it, but intelligence food was _so_ rare this run by the time I realized I wanted it lol
@Retromation if you can't find enough int to get guaranteed crushing, there's a strength version of the perk for guaranteed crushing (at the cost of never critting again, granted). It's actually kinda genius how the trait pool has redundancy like that for builds to get easier to get off the ground!
The wild card meta perk exists, and I think it's a genuinely kind of better than butterfly effect, because there's a lot of runs where you really want an off-build hurt but the game just wouldn't give it to you otherwise

Retro I just beat the dragun in etg for the first time, only took me 32 hrs
there are 25 characters
All this time, and I didnt realize tipsiness fell off 1 stack at a time... That makes hearts and booze so much better than I thought.
Massively updated action roguelike is a very good combination of things.

Tiamat is the first "hell" boss, Bahamut is the first "heaven" boss, and Geryon, obviously, is the first "law" boss. Also, I wonder if that "5 tally of primary attacks triggers on dash effects" perk turns the "0.25 of invincibility after dash" charm into effectively permanent invincibility. 😮
I strongly doubt it.
First of all the wording is different, but more importantly, you already have invincibility while dashing, so that would otherwise work even without any items.
(Also there are things that trigger "on taking damage" effects and items that increase invincibility after getting hit, like a common body armor that increases it by 5 seconds, it would be a HUGE oversight if it worked like that)
Hey, it wouldn't be the first time game devs made a huge oversight. 🤷♂️ You're probably right, though. That would be quite a broken interaction.

Jousting Champion has been basically my second hardest boss fight in the entire game (just after Amon). But watching this video and seeing you find safe spots means that he's likely going to be no big deal for me anymore.

I started playing with a controller. The auto-aim that they add to it is a little strong, but you end up dealing with less aiming jank.
The reverse encumbrance isnt a trap, it provides a Massive multiplier to thing you just don't have at the start of the game.
The music in the Reef area goes crazy

Don't forget abt the illegal gun parts guy in the tavern. Could get your gun to +4
Maybe the three dwarves room is referencing The Lost Vikings?
27:30 The plant monster seems to be made entirely of fresh, living vines, he'd have to be dried out to be easily flammable, especially if he's also wet or slimy 🙂

Money gun kinda feels like a trap, unless you do the infinite money thing or you have the armor that gives gold or something like that. The base stats are not even that good, and going hard into hoarding gold also seems kinda bad, considering how much you can be missing out on. I think any of the other weapons in the room where you picked up money gun would have been better.

The super tall guy does the clock that kills you. 2 of them spawn in 12-4 which makes it relevant for that room.
This game needs a compendium/glossary for all the terms and effects, and probably change the tooltips to give you the extra info on each word when you hover over said word. Could be done by having a button keep the tooltip open or something. Just a suggestion.
It would be funny if the Rubber Boots worked with the Money Gun. "Make it rain"

So this series isn’t really my jam but I went and picked up the game anyway because the price was right, and the winter sale was dry as hell this year. How do you feel about the bard? He doesn’t feel.. good. To me, anyway.
The bowls are not game ending like in 1.0 try them wink wink.

i found the alchemist to be the most broken class. when abusing soul hearts i usualy ended up with 30-70 soulhearts depending on how much gold you can find to refill flasks
Tfw reto is posting cinder 10 gameplay left and right while you cant even pass lawful in 80h period playing the game

Just have to smash your head against it until it clicks. I used the soul heart cheese item to play runs where I can experiment with weird combos and learn bosses and don't fear dying at all at the start and now I can clear most runs, many of which with absolutely broken combos that clear floor 12 bosses in less than 5 seconds per phase.
