I'm finding your video interesting because I am still on my 1st playthrough, where I spent literal hours just uncovering the map with my first flying pal. It's nice seeing an evenly paced video that isn't just cuts and fast forwards.
9:00 - The game doesn't care about how much damage you deal to an enemy or not. Rather, capture bonus EXP scales directly with your paldeck completion, both in terms of how many species you've captured, and how many you've gotten 10/10. Thus, because you pretty much never 10/10 any pals for most of this challenge, you're always at a massive EXP deficit with pretty much every single capture, compared to a player who can go through the whole paldeck like normal and get 10 of everything.
I know its a bit late but.. Around 2:04:00 when you have Pals with long CD abilities they just kind of stand around when waiting for their cooldowns. You can partially get around this by mounting them and using the abilities as its a separate cooldown mounted. Just helpful tips if you ever come back to this game! Was one of my fave games when it first got released.
I do like these playthroughs especially with these challenges it really helps you appreciate each pal instead of just mass running of hoovering up unforgettable pals!
I see mostly LEGENDARY pals in most youtube videos surrounding Palworld..... meanwhile my Verdash and Suzaku have over 1000 eggs each and im even breeding another 4-500 for worker variations. Dozens of stored 2 perk pals clogging up viewing chambers in my far away base. There are a lot of interesting pals that I hope to use one day........
so the reason why some areas of the map have like "starting level pals" in them, is because when you host a dedicated server, when you join the server you get to pick a starting area you wish to "spawn" in. hence why some areas on the edges of the map have starting level pals :)
IIRC the issue with digtoise was that ore and stone only dropped WHEN THE NODE BREAKS, so the fact he was only doing one damage was a huge problem, they changed it to where each hit has a chance to drop resource, which is how trees worked in the same update supposedly they made pals more likely to choose natural nodes instead of the placable resource nodes
The way you don't weaken pals all the way and then throw the balls from a distance with low catch rates was blowing my mind. And glitching every pal into the wall even though you knew it would happen when you cheese in the cave
The Dumud's island is an alternate spawn area, for servers to not mass people at the southeast spawn. There are a couple of these scattered around the map.
Still haven't watched the full video, but I'm a big fan since the total war videos! I'd love to see you do more playthrough of palworld, and it will obviously be nice to see you back on total war! Good luck!
first catch and you get the legend drop brah go buy a lotto ticket with that luck lol *for ore nodes the amount it always drops is 40 if the drop rates for them is unchanged if you get less that is due to some falling out of the map. *dark pals dont sleep so they work through the night. *the island boss dumud is on is an alternate starting point but most times you cant go to those without dying first. *cotton candy is good for making sure pals put food in the cooler/fridge by filling the foodbox slots (it doesnt spoil) as all collected food is put in the food box first, its also good for restoring san to pals that got stuck. *work speed does not effect attack frequency against ore nodes sadly the attack will always take the same amount to time to do. (animation plays faster but doent effect frequency of attacks it only effects progress bar tasks) the only exception is digtoise due to how its unique animation works faster it spins the more hits it does. so the faster animation work speed gives does effect how fast they mine. (patch 1.5 did fix him)
idk if it was possible before but in dungeons u can reset boss simply getting back some parts of the dungeon and going to the boss again awesome video btw!!
He is faster to just put in party, yeah. There is the unique benefit that it ONLY has mining, so it can't get distracted by other tasks (well, except for the stone pit). As a side note, think I've been hitting a sweet spot at my current base. It's in the coal-ore spot, and I have three Astegon and I think three Anubi, maybe four. Maybe it's the Stone pits being further away (yes, I have two!) or perhaps it's bc they're a big pal, but I find my Astegon actually prefer the nodes over the pit. Again, maybe it's a sweet spot combo of those things but I'm grateful nonetheless. And yes, it's very efficient lmao, I've literally bred three 60% plus movement speed Helzephyrs JUST to try and transport all of it. They literally can't do anything else, so it's actually a really nice addition.
i agree with you in difficulty changes, sadly, the scaling of armor and damage makes armor like paper like and some things don't even work properly like catch rate dosent even get upgrated properly it get upgrated negativity for the first 2 lvls then increses
pretty sure you would be able to dominate the 100 days meta on youtube with your style of editing and gameplay, hope we could see more of such (get an editor or smth so we can binge more content😢)

58:16 It doesn't. It just deals more arrow dmg. Rate of inflicting the burning is the same on bow and crossbow. Rate of increasing resistance to burning on the pal is the same.
If you put a knocked out pal into the box and swap it into your base itll warp into a pal bed after a few seconds and start recovering hp, way faster than waiting out the 10min timer, I hope they don't patch it out. (Chance they did already, I haven't been keeping up with the patch notes)
I was doing this as well, I restarted over and was was going to capture 10 of everything in order but then I kept getting lucky with luckies and I couldn’t pass up catching them. Not even 2 irl days in this playthrough and I have a lucky teaphant, creamis, and 2 lucky pengullets.
people keep bringing up the value of the pokemon company when talking about the quality of the games, we have to start acknowledging that the quality of pokemon games is entirely based on what gamefreak has to work with, and the sad reality is pokemon doesn't afford as much funding to gamefreak as it should, pokemon gets most of its money from merch, cards, and tournaments, merch and cards that are based on the anime
there is this bug where if a pal has been knocked out you can swap it into your base and if the pal touches a pal bed it starts healing up so you can just skip the 10 min timer and just put your pal back into your team within seconds and let it heal up the rest in your inventory. i just put a pal on the ground behind my palbox where the dead pal is spawned in
You could just manually assign pals to do assignments by picking them up and throwing them at the facility. Also there are multiple spawn points in the game, thats why multiple areas have lower level pals.
I'm honestly surprised more people don't actually use the traps in these challenges they are busted, It makes super easy early game kills and captures.
You mention sleeping has no real point, however a night of sleep resets incapacitated pals in your party which is faster than putting them in timeout in the palbox for 10 minutes.

You are the second person I've seen play this game to repeatedly call the Ice-horse (stallion) a "frost-Lion". Don't worry though, that guy also seemed like he had a middle-schooler's reading ability.
Bases only work in an area around players, so if you have all bases nearby each other and you stand inbetween them all, that is sadly the only way without mods
Another good thing could be beating the game with just a chikipi. You can choose that or one of the other starters like a Cattivia or lamball and then have to beat all the bosses with that pal. Another fun thing could be playing like a pokemon gym leader and only catching a certain type.
I really don't understand how people can do the same thing over and over again and not come to a conclusion on why or how it is happening, whenever you catch something, the ball ALWAYS goes a bit to the right, you can see that anywhere, of course the more you catch it the further it goes, just move to its other side and move it away from the wall its morphing into.
Alpha only isn't that hard really. Especially if you can capture dungeon alphas as much as you want. At that point may as well let you capture the rest as much as you want.

You absolutely can assign pals to specific tasks. Just pick it up and chuck it at the station you want it to stay at
yeah but the moment they go eat and/or a task they can do becomes available they just walk off to do that

Try the monitoring stand, they change it so you can tell pals what tasks you want them to do, so you can tell anubis to only do handwork task or such

You can also pick alternate spawn locations to respawn at when you die on any world, not just dedicated servers.
cotton candy has a 1:1 nutrition and sanity benefit and doesn't spoil, so if you can produce it quickly it's the best food, makes great pocket food

At 25 mins you got a depresso but you use it for handi work. But depresso is actually a really strong fighter if you give it the right moves
