Model 1930 Le Bel Larenn ~ The only true Tenor O Body 23 inch scale Tenor Resonator
Historically, there has never been a true O body sized 23 inch Tenor Resonator Guitar until today that is packed with such premium quality. Over 2 years of research and development has been invested to create this stunning hand crafted biscuit resonator Guitar. While some of the distinct qualities are apparent on the surface, deep inside unseen attention to detail elevates Le Bel Larenn ( the Beautiful Queen) to a class of its own.
Crafted in premium solid mahogany ornately accented with hand inlayed Abalone ( sourced from ethically harvested abalone farm) on fingerboard, body and headstock, her appealing finish captures the eye immediately. Now lets look closer.
On detailed inspection, you'll discover Craven has designed our own unique F holes for increased body voicing. Then comes the placement of the sound chamber, cone and cover. Centered within the O body, the hand carved wood sound chamber is balanced for tonal quality to bring out deeper rich lower notes not found in traditional triolian or parlor sizes. Deep inside the body, all bracing is hand shaved and tuned so when tapped, the sound resonating is not sharp nore flat. This process of tuning wood is found only in the highest quality violins crafted by the hands of artisans.
Hidden beneath the 1920s National honeycomb style hubcap lies our meticulously hand-spun aluminum cone and biscuit bridge. Delicately recessed within the solid mahogany body is our unique Craven Lipstick style pickup, engineered to amplify the sound of your Le Bel Larenn above the sound of your backup band. Entrust Le Bel Larenn with your passion, and she will resoundingly project it acoustically or when connected to an amplifier.
At Craven Tenor Guitars, we establish the benchmark of excellence by meticulously crafting our own authentic 4-string Stainless Steel tailpiece. This is in contrast to compromising on quality with a mass-produced, inexpensive Zink Alloy 6-string piece. Le Bel Larenn is a professional musicians Resonator, crafted for stage and recording studio. This is a limited series guitar meticulously crafted by the hands of one luthier only. He is responsible for the entire crafting of this guitar from wood selection to the tuning of the braces and fitment of electronics. One luthier, one soul committed to perfection. Le Bel Larenn is presented to you in a faux Alligator hardshell case to protect your investment which includes the serial numbered nameplate for your installation.
