Dexnav and mega evolution are the best features introduced to any Pokemon game. And the fact that both were released for ORAS just makes the game one of the all time best ever imo. Such a beautiful game! Have played it so many times and can still never get tired of it, even 6 years later

Do your best not to search where npc's are walking in the grass, the npc's will cause the pokemon to run if they walk over them

I learned that while hunting for a shiny zorua-
If you Guys Can't Find the Pokemon as in the Search fails just walk around to another patch of grass and research and go for the Pokemon once it pops up again. If somethings random pops up go for that pokemon even though it's not the pokemon your hunting for it will keep your chain alive!

SmkGaming05 Btw I know if you startle the pokemon the chain resets but sometimes i get it say "The pokemon ran away" without me startling it does that reset the chain?
Yes if you take to long then the pokemon will run away and break your chain.
I found a shiny wurmple Dexnaving
Without any repels.
The funny thing is im serious.
Shiny Luis you don't need repels it just helps prevent any Random Encounters that are not Dexnav Encounters, but Great Job!

I had a chain of 38 and the ralts just ran away. Idk if that broke the chain but I got mad lmao and turned of my 3ds

I only ask for likes when it's something new and want to get solid feedback on new projects to see how many people really enjoy the new content. Not every sub will like every video I make so getting feedback is what I enjoy. Getting a shit ton of likes doesn't really do much. So I was gonna try chain fishing and I had this video as background noise and then I tried dex Nav twice in the water by the battle resort and the second time I got a shiny magikarp. This just happened holy shit.

pokemons in your dexnav are able to fled when you try to sneak up to them. And this WILL break your chain!
If you take to long to encounter the pokemon it will Flee and if you Scare the Pokemon away it will also break the Chain.

I have had this game for a few years, and just ignored it after getting my 2nd Gym Badge and forgetting where to go when I picked it back up 2 years later and again last week. Starting Pokemon Go last month sparked a new interest (and warm love) into ORAS. I played several of the Gameboy versions and they all have a certain kind of charm. I wiped my save and restarted with Mudkip instaed of Torchic. He's just as adorable lol. This game is really growing on me fast, and I only just got to Petalburg and got dissed by a certain relative...lol. Any advice for what I am starting to believe is one of the BEST Pokemon games ever made would be greatly appreciated. Any Digimon: Cyber Sleuth 1 or 2 PS Vita fans? That's something EVERY POKEMON LOVER should try out. Much love to you. 🤘🖤

I've now spent 5 hours in perfect chaining(without screwing up)!!! Am I doing it wrong? I'm searching for a shiny pikachu in safari zone.
+Connorplier Cagle I've made an updated video about dexnav. Chains do not matter when finding shiny pokemon from dex nav. The odds are like friend safari from pokemon x and y 1/512
The chaining on DexNav doesn't change anything on Shiny encounter rate, it's not like the PokéRadar, however, chaining while searching for the shiny will make the shiny come with better abilitys, IVs, etc.

i heard you don't chain with dexnav so it doesn't matter if you run...?
+pebkie chain or no Chain. You will find a shiny pokemon at some point because of using the dexnav. So yes you can run away. It does not ruin your odds of a shiny pokemon.

wow this really works! so im about 10 minutes into the video and i too start chaining for a shiny poochyena. Literally on my second poochyena encounter i find a shiny! i wasnt even paying attention, just following the steps. the best part is the search level was only 19. Thanks for the awesome tips in this video!

it's an awesome Shiny! Don't Worry about Breaking a Chain. Dexnav is a fixed rate. just do as many encounters as you can for joltik when you got the time to shiny hunt.

It really helps to keep count of how many of this one pokemon i found, and to know how long i took to get a shiny, and DexNav shiny odds are around 1/350

Here is another tip,a random NPC can break your chain if they are randomly moving! Especially in Meteor Falls if you are chaining Deino!

For anyone shinny hunting a good tip is to get a pokemon with the synchronize ability example Gardevior leading the party. This makes it a 50% change of having the same nature. So if you want a shiny with a certain nature make a pokemon with synchronize ability leading the party as you kill or caught in your chaining.

Great video. Helped me a lot. As a bit of constructive criticism, when you stop to talk 1-on-1 with the audience look at your camera instead of the computer screen. It gives the feeling that you are really talking to the viewer.

I just got a 4 iv eevee using dexnav the potential just shows you how many are guarenteed not how many you can get, you can have 3 stars and still get 4-6 ivs.
When recording the most I ever got was 3IV. Thanks for the Update!

I've at this for days already and I can not find a pikachu with hasty nature with perfect speed iv's. I need my pikachu to be a speed demon to sweep all pokemon it encounters. After I found out what light ball really does my jaw dropped from how op that item is. DOUBLES, light ball doubles pikachus attacks, thats insane.

Well the first Shiny Pokémon I encountered in my Omega Ruby (Not including the Shiny Beldum) was a Wingull, and the search rate was about 100 when I encountered him.
