The original synth pop notes were made with a 1983 Yamaha DX7
DX7, the legend
2:37 those duu duu duu, duu duu duu sounds are a tribute to the original theme song of journey to the west tv show from the 80s. It's very iconic among the Chinese.
not just that, it also represents the swift movement of wukong. whether on land, or up high in the trees, his sea adventures, Fast, quick, swift and exciting.
Wukong is a symbol of resistance to authority, getting rid of restraints, and pursuing freedom. He is an absolute brave man.

@@anniewu6239 not resistance but instead he symbolized pride and greed for power as I remember he started small from monkey leader then monster leader and fight his way for position in the heaven and then try to gain the highest seat before being straightened out by Buddha. If you watch the series you would understand why the heaven asked him to either join them or risk being punished, probably out of fear.
In the past, The Great Sage resisted the Celestial Palace in the name of Freedom.
At present, The Victorious Fighting Buddha is fighting the "twisted Political correctness" in the entire video games industry for the name of Justice.
This song is meant to evoke nostalgia in the Chinese player base. It's the original theme song from the 1986 TV show. Better to react to some great stand-alone songs from the game, like "Nonsense!" or "It Will Fit Me Just As Well"
IGN lost its integrity...
Never had any.

what can't you spell IGN without again?
I can't tell you what that music will involve you emotionally...
But this music... Will involve our Childhood memories for anyone living in China or S.E Asia in the mid to late 80s... I was barely a teen when the 1986 Journey to the West came to my Country from China... Where everyone at school watch every single episode...
Whole Asian is being nostalgic because of this game, also devs include 80s original Celestial Symphony, make us 80-90 kids remember our childhood when our grandparents tell the story even tho we don't really understand
And also the other song gonna make us chill if maybe anyone know, ambush from ten sides
If you have DLC ,when you open the game , click Music library plz . Some music have lyrics , just turn on lyrics and read it , what a wonderful song and deeply wisdom , I remember the capter 4 love story, Bajie love moon lady , spider lady love Bajie . At the end of the lyric : that in the next life , male: I beg you ,say no / female:please don’t say no 😢
Instead of tribal pattern, it’s more like the form from Chinese opera, aka Wen Wu Chang( Wen chang-civil section and Wu chang-Fighting/war section) in Chinese Opera. Wen Chang is the part that actors talking and singing; Wu chang is where actors doing stunts, acrobatic and martial arts moves.
And the part you referred to tribal pattern is actually the music style of Wu Chang.
Actually, the nimbus originally comes from journey to the west, where it's a magical ability of Wukong. Dragonball was inspired by the novel
Hi Atlas, can you react to the main theme too? You can search 《31-Person Ensemble Full Version of the Theme Song from "Black Myth: Wukong"》on UA-cam and see all 20+ instruments used

The fact that “the yellow wind rises” isn’t on the list is a crime
If Wukong and the entire From Software catalogue have one thing in common, its that the music you most times cant really concentrate on in-game, are almost all absolute masterpieces when listened to by themselves.
Friend, I know you weren't supposed to play anything else after souls, hollownight and elden, but Black myth wukong... This game is so amazing, This game taught me more about mythology than any other games
I suggest you could make another song review for Wukong soundtrack, IT Will Fit Me As Well. A very deep religious chant and cultural wibe.
it’s based on 86 JTTW BGM
Finally made it to the west after 38 years🥹
厉害兄弟,你全听出来了!
Atlas I BEG YOU, please listen to Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ, part I from Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm, I have a feeling you will really enjoy it, optimally it would be better to listen to the whole album with 9 songs (and 1 meme track) so you could also get the leitmotifs for MAXIMUM EFFECT, but I know that is asking too much, but please one day listen to this track? :)
watch the animation would make more sense
wukong is not main character of this game, not in 100%, it's reincarnation/succesor.
Is there a dent?
@@collinsgrimm4192 oh no
perhaps step back and enjoy the music without analyzing it like some 😅sort of technical item. the song was for a 1980's comedic tv series. the game merely re-used the same song.
Well, it is an epic remix of it. That said... I feel like this channel's reactions are much worse than before. He used to react with little interruptions, but now he's babbling on and on with long pauses. And even worse is that he uses the same song as 'backround' for his babbling, meaning that you'll hear tons of parts he hasn't even arrived yet (I know it's added later, but it makes the reaction less genuine). Basically the channel went from genuine reactions to now seeming almost like the many scripted reactions that some channels do. I don't get the feeling he's listening to it the 1st time during his 'reaction'.
He probably does it because of copyright strikes or something... but either way this channels reactions having become so constructed nowadays has me not caring much about new reactions that are posted.
4:01 I know this sound from Dragonball 🤩😁

its like saying you know john wick from fortnight
@@avatarxs9377 Then more precisely:
I first heard this sound in Dragonball.
