Soccer Training - Touch on the ball drills

  • The best way to get better as a soccer player is to spend as much time as possible with the ball. A good player can control the ball with any part of their body. This control enables the player to have more time to focus on their strike, their pass, or their move. This foresight become more and more important the faster the level of play.
    Here are multiple drills to help a player develop a better touch on the ball. These drills can be modified for individual training sessions.

    I do this with two cones and partners, 20 reps and switch and get 90 touches per player using both right and left feet. I'm the one running up and down the line checking quality and adding corrections.

    you do realise that the video condenses all the variable passes into one short video, rather than devoting a separate video to each? I coach 11 year olds and they are more than able for a drill like this broken down into segments.

    I coach here in America but am from South London and yes they talk way way too much: and they know everything :) (NOT)
