- A simple over-view of some of the clever machinery designed to compliment traditional hand craftsmanship and to out-wit counterfeiters. Thanks must go to those who strive to preserve these inventions and the associated history. Thanks also to the Society of Ornamental Turners. www.ornamentalturners.org www.stuartking.co.uk

Thank you for sharing this information with everyone
Gil rudolph, California, engraver...absolutly the most interesting Utube show ever. Im amazed that the gentleman has all the antique banknote engraving machines shown...AND THEY ALL WORK!!!! I would hazard a guess he also knows how to rebuild them. Is this a museum, and is it open to the public?
Very interesting thanks Stuart.love your videos.best wishes from Derek South Somerset.
This guy got the right equipment
Another interesting video. I love the music in the back round.
The ultimate spirograph.
All of these processes are currently available using precision CNC units. just change the drill bits types and shape.
I've engraved some guilloche pattern jewellery on a computer engraver. This is very interesting.
Thanks Derek, more to come,

A counterfeiters dream room
I saw this video on coin talk i think a couple years ago, cant explain how long i have been looking for this video i am so happy to find it. I am an avid collector of banknote plates, i was wondering if you would know who i would contact to acquire one of these example security patterns?
Very interesting video. Thank you for sharing this information with everyone. I do have a question about these engraving machines. Do any of the machines shown do the kind of engraving that can be found in watches and watch parts?
Thanks Phil

Jen Reynolds Guilloché is the correct term. Scroll down this page: www.engravingglossary.com/Hand%20Engraving%20Glossary%20G.htm
what a neat machine. too bad I think you can engrave the new US coins with a fingernail clipper or a straightened paperclip.
