We need to stop normalizing OUTRAGEOUS prices for, essentially the same controller as every other one. 99% of the controls are the same. The screen UI is different, but the code behind it is the same. We have to take a stand against this crap. That's a $500 controller! Tops! There's very little R&D required when you just change the plastic. This isn't on you, Mojaxx. People do listen to your opinion, though. I'd love to see an episode on the price of controllers, and why you do or don't agree with the amount.
Mojaxx is probably told by Pioneer/AT to not be too negative, or he will lose early demo unit access. Same for Crossfader or DigitalDJTips. I love these channels a lot, but for proper and unbiased reviews, hmmm. Doubts. For $1500 they're way too positive.
This is why monopolies kill innovation. Pioneer and AT are cynically cannibalising their own market. I have a DDJ1000 and when I finally upgrade it will be to Denon SC 6000/1850, not Pioneer CDJ 3000s which are grossly overpriced and lacking in features

Considering that the prime go will start to show it's age soon, Pioneer had a golden opportunity to release a competitive product, and I think they wasted it. For 1500 dollars, you could get a mixstream pro, a pair of monitors and headphones and pretty much do the same, if not more (streaming). The only thing I'm happy to see here is Bluetooth, but not enough to justify the price tag.

As a fan of modular kit where I can use different mixers and use whatever fits the day connected, I really need an update to my XDJ-700's. They are the oldest gear with touch enabled features in the whole lineup of players. It came out just after the first XDJ-1000. Even if the all-in-one's have taken over a lot, small modular players are outstanding in value. Not only are they extremely light weight and can be used in any combo of gear, but in case there's a mixer in place, or I want to extend the existing 2 player setup to a 4 player setup, I only need to bring the players which fits in a backpack and weighs in around 3 kg's. Obviously as seen on the Omnis Duo,, they can pack a lot of the new features in to that 7 inch screen. I bet they could fit an 8'' high res screen within the same frame as the old 7''. On a single player, that would be quite enogh even for my old eyes. I have the Mixstrem pro, and the 7'' is a tad bit too small for all the info needed, which means some stuff have very small fonts, and I have to use my hated reading glasses to comfortable see what's in front of me. Never need that with single screens.
I concur. I'd take something that looked like the jogwheel sections of this unit as standalone class compliant midi controllers. I don't really need a screen on them, I just want something to control Dejay on an iPad using a mixer that actually sounds good.

Agreed. Not sure why everyone is knocking the price so much as when was pioneer ever cheap? I’d much rather have this over a Go. Always fancied one of them but can’t ever bring myself to buy Denon gear again.
The XZ and the XDJ-1000s both need a refresh... id even go as far to include the 750mk2 mixer... they need to at least be brought up closer to what the Nexus/NXS line up gave us.
I see a lot of negative comments here. I for one, am excited about this for one feature... MIC EQ! If the Prime Go had it, I'd be using it for ceremonies and when I bring that up in FB groups, users say "use a separate mixer". The whole point of a standalone, all-in-one is that you don't need other gear. With Mic EQ, this will be my ceremony unit. I could care less about streaming.
Wow.. For it's price, no cloud sync, no beatport, no speakers..... I don't see why would anyone purchase this instead of Mixstream Pro Go... Not even a Pioneer branded.
question - what about beatgrid editing? a fully standalone capable of streaming from beatport and alikes, should be able to do track analysis and beatgrid editing on its own. if this is not the case and you have to rely on rekordbox analysis, than it is a big no no for me.
Looks a little kiddish. I would have liked for the jog wheels to light up when a song is being played. I see a light in the middle of the jog wheels but no movement and no stems.
Don’t hold your breath mate it won’t happen. Ever. I’m not pioneer fan boy but the chances of anything Denon becoming pro industry standard are slim to none.
@@willpolrnot with that attitude my man. Denon DJ used to be the industry standard until Pioneer released the CDJs in the mid 2000s (1000mk2,mk3 was the first Pioneer industry standard) but as a whole in the scene, I have seen Pioneer DJ been less and less relevant and people seem to be using Pioneer DJ a lot less. Most new clubs here are all using SC6000s now and moving away from the CDJs. So maybe within 3-5 years they'll be the industry standard and we will see a lot less CDJs like we currently are seeing at the major festivals too!
@@willpolr before the CDJ1000, Denon was the industry standard with the switch from SL1200 vinyl players into CDs. And at the rate that Pioneer DJ is becoming more and more irrelevant in the industry, I see SC6000s becoming the industry standard. There have been quite the number of venues and DJs who use and installed SC6000s over CDJs.
@@robertschnobert9090 This feature is not hardware related. This ability can be implemented without any problems even with the 4-year-old Denon Prime GO. This capability can be implemented by changing the firmware - the Engine OS software. No new hardware is needed at all (Prime GO2, or Prime GO+). But it doesn't make much sense on the Denon Prime GO. Prime GO has powerful and smart streaming options (Tidal, Beatport, BS, SoundC). The entire song from the streaming server goes to Prime GO's dedicated buffer instantly, within seconds. Up to 250MB audio file size from streaming server. Track is complettely analyzed (BPM, Key, Waveform, ID tags, Beatgrid etc.) The song from the BT input on Omnis, goes into the buffer memory only while playing from BT source. A few seconds before the audio is routed to the Omnis Duo's main audio output. Max. 10 minutes (50MB) Basically, Prime GO doesn't even need BT input. Despite this, there will be BT input on Prime GO as well. I believe very soon.
With exception of the jog wheel size, it's really difficult to see any way that this beats the Prime Go, imo. Bluetooth linking to play through one of the channels could be useful for sticking on a pre-recorded mix or something from yiur phone (but then why would you buy one of these to be able to do that - just stick a Bluetooth audio interface straight into the amp!) and the Bluetooth download to cache is an interesting new feature - but its mot a patch on wifi streaming, so 🤷 overall it's more gimmicky than useful? Other than that, it's horrendously overpriced for what it is. It's blatantly just taking advantage of people stuck in the rekordbox ecosystem who also have more money than sense and don't have the courage to go 'off-brand'. Alpha-Theta also said their stuff would be premium level equipment - which the price markets this as, but it looks anything but!!!
Proper streaming services will never come to this device. Alpha Theta is working on closing their ecosystem off and the only option will be their overpriced cloud service. 🌈
and $1,500 but no displays on the jogs...ouch. Would be a no brainer around the $800 - $1,000 mark to stay in the pioneer ecosystem. In terms of size, it's either this or the FLX 4, so for standalone this is the way!
Seriously? $1500,- for this thing? Haha.. Was it made by Apple or something? Since Apple also has a habbit of overpricing all their products.. Anyway.. I'm happy with my Denon DJ SC live 2. I've payed €1100,- and I don't regret it. It sounds way better than other brands, like Pioneer for example. The effects are better aswell. The only thing better on Pioneer, is the acapella effect. But Denons effects in general, sound way smoother.
The Bluetooth input is very well done, and TBH long overdue in this industry. Mixing with Bluetooth output is also a very nice idea.. but curious about the latency. I have to assume you would need to fully blend in headphones, ahead of that small latency getting out of the bluetooth speaker..
Well, I guess all product lines have their market. I'm not into this kind of gear (unless mixing on a boat/plane) but I guess also that guys in the "love the tiny" share of the market will be delighted. I think that not branding it "Pioneer DJ" would refrain some potencial clients from buying it. We will have to rely on bold early adopters. Thanks for another excellent review!
Maybe Denon will address some of the things we've been asking for for years now to be added or fixed on the Prime Go through software updates since they've been addressed by the competition like the Bluetooth audio output and the master channel meter being on the screen with channel meters being on the physical LEDs to make it easier to do gain staging. I'm glad to see more things like this in the market but also, it took them 3 years to formulate a response, it's half baked in terms of features compared to what the Prime Go can still do, it costs more for the privilege, and it doesn't even have the pioneer brand on it anymore for that price premium.
I have the Numark Mixstream Pro, and they seem very similar, both in looks and features. After a few mishaps, I can tell that the build quality of the Numark is very good, and as got mine, used but not even unpacked, (the model without battery) for $450, I think I''ll keep it. I really can't see what would make me pay more than $1000 extra for the Omni duo, and I'm a pretty hardcore Pioneer gear user.
I think you’re being very kind on your review of this Omnis Chaos. It’s ridiculously high priced and I’ve never seen a review where you had to state so many times that a lot of things are missing or hopefully coming in the future.
Seems to be par for the course on this equipment, with reviews that is. Very soft reviews. I also agree with @darktherapy, had this been any other competitor, it would have been slammed, over price for the missing features, the Hot Cue's only feature, pitch faders, etc. Now, the bluetooth feature is a really nice feature. To be fair to MoJaxx, he did say he was a little disappointed that this "futuristic" device has missing items and wasn't happy about that.
Nice fisherprice unit... for 1500 bucks... ugly looking... and club standard fansheep will still buy it. PEOPLE, WAKE UP FFS - even a Denon Live 4 is cheaper (and much better) than this toy!
What a joke this thing. Seriously overpriced. For the 500€ cheaper you can get a Denon Go or SC Live 4 with internal speakers 4 decks normal effects etc. Just add it to a powerbank and you are good to go.
@l337z0r it fits in a bag, not a backpack though. And it has build in speakers. Also the Omnis Duo only works well over Bluetooth with the special Bluetooth adapter, otherwise you have too much lag. So you could put that adapter to the Denon players as well and it would still be cheaper.
i'd rather denon put the time into making the software and firmware more stable before releasing more gear. I've had nothing but issues and headaches with my prime go and engine
If this was priced the same as the Denon Go, they could have had a winner. Unfortunately with their current pricing strategy, they are pretty much becoming the Teenage Engineering of the DJ world, and are catering for people with more money than sense! 🤣🤣🤣
@@randomchannel323 Apples to oranges. The only practical comparison here is the Mixstream Pro Go or Prime Go. If you wanna compare flagship media players, you can get two SC6000s for $3200, while a pair of CDJ-3000s is $5000 for LESS functionality
$1500 LOL. I was looking at this during your pre amble and thinking i wonder what price, gonna be way more than the Numark Go cause Pioneer but it looks way more cheaply made than the Prime Go but with the added "Pioneer Tax" i be it rocks in at the same price about $1000.

A lot of very safe reviews of this with minimal criticism despite its many shortcomings. A prime GO competitor with no streaming about 4 years too late and nearly double the price.
Pretty obvious a lot of reviewers just do not want to criticise Pioneer/Alpha Theta. Haven't heard a single reviewer criticise it's looks, despite it looking like an absolute piece of trash.

Firstly this unit looks like it is made by Fisher Price, I am not a fan of the look, the colour looks shocking, what are they playing at. I don't think it is a competitor to the Denon Prime Go as InMusic cannot make a controller that lasts, I have been through 3 Rane One's, the external build quality is great don't get me wrong but the upfaders are crap and appear to be from the Numark Parts Bin. Also what is it with removing all the external controls and putting them into a Touchscreen, do you realise how much of a pain in the arse that is, I hate the Mics are on a touch screen for the EQ, also the effects etc. Sorry this is not for me, they urgently need to do a update on the XZ and also address the latency issue with Serato (no my laptop is not crap and it works perfectly with other controllers, the XZ there is a slight latency which drives me crazy)
If it was price matched against a Numark Mixstream Pro it might have had a chance.... that is if Alpha Theta takes a leaf from Denon themselves, and decide to dedicate a team to providing regular firmware updates and a solid Beta program. Unfortunately Pioneer DJs track record with firmware updates is not great... not great at all. I am all for good competition in the industry, but let's call a spade a spade. This product looks semi baked and a rip off for consumers at initial glance.
Honestly i _really_ want some spinning platters gear for Rekordbox, either some kind of Rev7 or Rane 13's, until something like that happens honestly i am sitting on my DDJ1000
In today's economy, I don't see any reason to pay USD 1500 for any DJ gear. I wasn't impressed by this and don't see it selling. This product is not for me.
This is a support controller for pro djs. Beginner/amateur djs cannot afford 1500 for something to learn from or to play 'at a friend's pool party'. Smh. I agree it's new tech, and some of the wireless features ARE useful, but at it's CORE, it doesn't do much more than say a ddj400 🤷♂️
It looks like an entry level device with all the technical and fun features under the hood which would be an absolute headache if you're in your flow. Good idea, but not well executed imo.
I don't know who the hell AT think they are, this piddling little toy is quoted at $3419.00 here in Australia ..... that is absolute theft !!!! And $1899.00 Australian for their 8" portable speaker fucking ridiculous.

I don't understand this product for DJ ?😢
Open your mind then. It’s a great bit of kit and can easily be used to get a professional result.
..are u sure that if u scratch of AlphaTheta sticker it doesn`t say Numark underneath ?? 🤔
Seems pricey for the category, but at least it’s got 8 pads
i have ti say i like the mic effects option
amazing review!
It looks like something you would build from a magazine and costs way too much.
It’s not capable of streaming from Beatport. You’re looking at the wrong device for your needs. Like knocking a bike when looking for a car.
he said, he wants beatport, he wants soundcloud, asap.
I KNOW it is not capable of doing this right NOW.
@@tallahchris so If you want Beatport and soundcloud asap get something else FFS
we need a professional controller, cdj 3000 platters and s11 mixer in the middle..whats this toy nonsense
Curious is there any delay playing through Bluetooth speakers?
Yes. Lots on any normal Bluetooth speaker. Like half a second.
ngl was looking for something like this last year in RB format, but no physical channel select for FX?...jeeze.
"think of it as inMusic" except inMusic didn't actually develop the separate brands. they just acquired (and then ruined) them.
okay Pioneer fansheep.
@@BlueHawk80 no Pioneer gear in my studio besides a controller I once won in a battle, but whatever helps you sleep at night.
Looks a little kiddish. I would have liked for the jog wheels to light up when a song is being played. I see a light in the middle of the jog wheels but no movement and no stems.
UK Release date????
Man didn't even test the Bluetooth output, key feature. A descriptive review.
Really hoping Denon become the industry standard with the SC6000s now tbh.
I like the idea of more portable/all in one hardware. Makes impromptu djing much more flexible and easy.
Great review.
Miss the twitch sets sir. ❤
Yooo.. That bluetooth cache is really interesting!
It's a neat feature. I hope something like that shows up in the Denon Prime Go 2 🌈
@@robertschnobert9090 This feature is not hardware related.
Track is complettely analyzed (BPM, Key, Waveform, ID tags, Beatgrid etc.)
The song from the BT input on Omnis, goes into the buffer memory only while playing from BT source. A few seconds before the audio is routed to the Omnis Duo's main audio output. Max. 10 minutes (50MB)
Basically, Prime GO doesn't even need BT input. Despite this, there will be BT input on Prime GO as well. I believe very soon.
People were so ready to hate this lmao
No stems?
It's giving Marshall's / TJ Maxx feels.
All I want is a standalone rev 7
I think Alpha Ceo is going to be a benefit to Denon, sad to see reviewer's trying to polish a t#$d!!!
Proper streaming services will never come to this device. Alpha Theta is working on closing their ecosystem off and the only option will be their overpriced cloud service. 🌈
..what happened to Pioneer designers..?😔
and $1,500 but no displays on the jogs...ouch.
The Brand is gone but the Heritage remais: S#1tty overpriced stuff 😆
Did we just hear you say "you don't have to touch the little hamburgers"?, you have some quick editing to do before that goes too far.
I prefer pioneer
I don’t see incorporated FX
No autoloop
Maybe Denon will address some of the things we've been asking for for years now to be added or fixed on the Prime Go through software updates since they've been addressed by the competition like the Bluetooth audio output and the master channel meter being on the screen with channel meters being on the physical LEDs to make it easier to do gain staging. I'm glad to see more things like this in the market but also, it took them 3 years to formulate a response, it's half baked in terms of features compared to what the Prime Go can still do, it costs more for the privilege, and it doesn't even have the pioneer brand on it anymore for that price premium.
Don't say bad things about this overpriced bluethroat ;) player, Pioneer is listening :))))
traktor s8 better 😂
Nice to see that Denon DJ and inmusic really has made an impact on the evolution of dj-gear.
Well put🤗🎶🇧🇻
Possibly the worst looking controller I've ever seen. Looks like a toy for a 2 year old.
I was going to say it looks a but Fisher Price
$1,500 ???!!! Seriously?! I can't wait for the comparison videos between this "innovative" controller and the DENON DJ PRIME GO. 🤣🤣🤣
but the denon dj prime go does not look good at all.
@@leobianchi2524 Sure it does. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
@@leobianchi2524oh yeah because the looks of the controller make it function and sound better 😂😂😂
Would be a contest when priced around 700/800 ish price range..
No aux input and no streaming services is not a comparison at all in my opinion
I think you’re being very kind on your review of this Omnis Chaos.
It’s ridiculously high priced and I’ve never seen a review where you had to state so many times that a lot of things are missing or hopefully coming in the future.
If the brand name wasn’t Pioneer or Alpha Theta he’d be criticising the hardware.
I agree...I had hands on experience and wasn't impressed. The Denon Prime Go is cheaper,
better and the build feels like what you would expect.
@@darktherapy And the looks.
@@kco223how is the Go better?
Am i the only one who thinks this looks like shit?
Yep fully agree
Totally agree. If this was branded as Numark or Gemini or some other cheap brand, it would be criticised.
Yep, the Live 2/4 work absolutely fine with the XTPowerbanks from Amazon... 50 bucks, and they last for 5-6hrs, no problemo.
But how portable is the actual SC Live 4 unit? It's quite big, no? And no Bluetooth output to speakers.
I mean the GO is still ahead of this but hoping they announce the Go 2! It will surely wipe the floor with this!
i'd rather denon put the time into making the software and firmware more stable before releasing more gear. I've had nothing but issues and headaches with my prime go and engine
@@MastahKylerwhat kind of headaches? I've updated as they have released new firmware and have had no issues at all. I also only update via Wifi.
The jogs suck on the prime go
If this was priced the same as the Denon Go, they could have had a winner. Unfortunately with their current pricing strategy, they are pretty much becoming the Teenage Engineering of the DJ world, and are catering for people with more money than sense! 🤣🤣🤣
This costs $100 less than a pro tier Denon SC6000 media player lol
And $200 more than a SC Live 4... ridiculous @@randomchannel323
@@randomchannel323 Apples to oranges. The only practical comparison here is the Mixstream Pro Go or Prime Go. If you wanna compare flagship media players, you can get two SC6000s for $3200, while a pair of CDJ-3000s is $5000 for LESS functionality

A lot of very safe reviews of this with minimal criticism despite its many shortcomings.
A prime GO competitor with no streaming about 4 years too late and nearly double the price.
Majorly uncompetitive.
Pretty obvious a lot of reviewers just do not want to criticise Pioneer/Alpha Theta. Haven't heard a single reviewer criticise it's looks, despite it looking like an absolute piece of trash.
Agreed. Missing a lot of functions you need as a mobile DJ but the reviews overlook these details.
The jogwheels are vastly superior to the denon, that's what makes this a fun controller
@@Nogi-aka-DJNugz Are jog wheels alone worth the massive price difference?
Id like an honest review 🤷♂️
1 major reason no1 should get this its the coating on it that rubber type mess after like a year it will turn sticky i think some people know what i mean stanton used it its a full mess and removing it is wow hard
definitely prime go more better...waves zoom..horizontal...more better screen fx..plus point it got aux.input...prime go update heard bluetooth soon...light weight can connect my flx4..giving option to mix 3 and 4 channel via my laptop...alpha is trying new experiment...best wishes..
Sorry this is not for me, they urgently need to do a update on the XZ and also address the latency issue with Serato (no my laptop is not crap and it works perfectly with other controllers, the XZ there is a slight latency which drives me crazy)
even my mom looked at this and said wtf lol
DENON PRIME GO > THIS
If it was price matched against a Numark Mixstream Pro it might have had a chance.... that is if Alpha Theta takes a leaf from Denon themselves, and decide to dedicate a team to providing regular firmware updates and a solid Beta program.
Been saying the same thing for a while too! This does look nice though.
Crss plx
Nice fisher-price for 1600€.
Why do reviews for Pioneer/AlphaTheta gear always come off like trying to convince someone why a 70s Ford Pinto is better than a Tesla?
Because reviewers don't want to lose the ability to have product sent to them.
1500!!! 😂
The future of DJing is having to play the music off someone’s phone in a club… yay
I don't know who the hell AT think they are, this piddling little toy is quoted at $3419.00 here in Australia ..... that is absolute theft !!!! And $1899.00 Australian for their 8" portable speaker fucking ridiculous.
Made for people over here with more money than fuckin sense. Nearly choked when I saw the prices on Store DJ site .
In @mojaxx defense, none of the reviewers, so far have REALLY criticized this experiment from Pioneer DJ. I wonder why… 🙄
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm 🤔
Because real critism would most likely keep them from getting review units sent to them. I was slightly disappointed in CT and Crossfader because if it were any other company, they'd get dragged to through the mud.
@@atypical_blk_guyit was sarcasm. He wasn’t actually asking. When I watch a review I don’t listen to the reviewer’s opinion, I watch and listen to how the gear works. Who cares what some reviewer thinks. It’s subjective anyway! Make up your own mind. Much better.
