Latest on Labour Weekend low & the windy hot weather before it

Windy, sub-tropical, nor’westers are about to boost temperatures even higher in the east - and it’s all ahead of a large low expected for the long weekend.
The low may not produce severe weather for days, but it does produce some risks into both main islands over a day or two.
This remains a developing situation which means forecasts are going to chop and change a bit - we explain why that is and take a Big Picture look at what is driving our weather this week and going into Labour Weekend.

Thank you for your update. The plan is fluffy towels on Wednesday and Fluffy blankets for Thursday, then watching the rain when it happens knowing that you have done most of the important things while Spring cleaning.
