Sucks I had to get her in a basic pokeball cause it’s the best matching one for Gyarados
I did a Pokedoku for the first time today and I was impressed at all the below 1%s i got. I have no clue how I know that Tauros can learn Flamethrower and Thunderbolt, or how Octillery is one of the only mono non ice types that can learn Ice Beam, but I'm glad this information is finally paying off.
I just loaded up PokeDoku and didn't understand... I thought I had to match "Can Learn Ice Beam, Can Learn Flamethrower AND Water type" for each of the 3 rows lol. So basically had to get a Water-type pokemon that didn't evolve, a pokemon final evolution and the starter pokemon that could learn both moves for each slot :D Safe to say I think getting 7/9 even when having no idea what I was doing was a good effort.

I’m surprised that with so many amazing videos and the journey of ribbon master. We haven’t seen one player yet who has Ribbon Master a whole generation of Pokémon or at least a complete Living Dex with ribbons 😅 for each Pokémon. I could totally see GB Kanto, GBC Johto, and Alola being easy to do since there’s only 4 exclusive ribbons to really focus on in Alola. SirToasty I believe you can pull it off. There’s only about 81 Alola Pokémon unless you want different forms… that’s 114. Because it’s possible with all the information you and community has made to grind ribbons. Would be wild 😅
@@SirToastyToes For sure! I recommend using 2 or more 3DS/2DS systems to shorten the grind that way you don’t need to do one at a time. Super Double Battles are also a good choice since you can do 2 at a time. Be sure to EV train them with good moves just in case. I had very close calls or lost completely 😅
This is kind of tempting me to try ribbon mastering some shinies I got recently, even though I cannot not screw up making poffins in Brilliant Diamond. Also, still hilariously evil what you did in that shiny hide and seek with foongus

Every time I see these videos, I have the urge to start doing this myself with Magnezone. Except I'd need to get a Magneton through XD, and my attempt immediately hits the brick wall of really not being interested in playing through a double battle game just for my favourite mon to have one more ribbon.
I didn't know about the Aromatise team, I've been using sturdy Togedemaru + Dusclops for the Battle Tree in a similar way. I honestly think singles using Durant is easier but I want the stamp for doubles in my passport!
I’ve always wondered why people go through the grind of getting Champion Stickers for BDSP contests. I didn’t have a single one, just one of the Show Master Stickers for the very end, and won every contest first try. That’s not to brag or anything, I’m just genuinely curious why they’re considered as needed by most people. Is it just that having them helps if you’re not as good at the mini game part of things, or are some Pokémon just inherently better at contests than others?

I’ve never really tried making a Ribbon Master before. The closest I’ve ever really done was my Shiny Kyurem from Omega Ruby, but he’s missing some ribbons that he can’t get anymore (I never did Super Training with him, for example). I do want to try getting a Ribbon Master though, and I have 2 Pokémon I think I’ll try going for at some point- A Dream Radar Gardevoir, and an 8F Shiny Mew (though I can’t get the Mightiest Mark on it, since I don’t have access to the Mewtwo Raid anymore)

I know its a long time since this video was posted, but I wonder if you remember if it is possible to execute a script in gen 4 that gives all the ribbons at the same time? Or did you have to do this 1 by 1? Also great video! I really love all your videos :)
The way I did it was one at a time, since it's easier to debug a script that only has one SetRibbon command rather than 40+, but you could make a script that does SetRibbon multiple times
@@AkemiStormBorn First you find a Massive Mass Outbreak, save and find out if it has alphas as the second wave, then you KO/despawn the Pokemon in the first wave in different permutations. Not only do I not understand what permutations I should follow, when I try to follow the normal chart, I try to throw berries at the Togetic in place of KOs, but they just don't despawn. I understand regular permutations for confrontational Pokemon. I don't understand how to use them for something that doesn't fight. And the ghost spawn table isn't helping because there are 8 spawns in my first horde. I sincerely do not understand how to do anything right here. HELP. Please I've been at this damn egg for 6 months and have probably done nothing right. Signed, a very confused amateur.
@@AkemiStormBorn Basically instead of a multi battle you do what I did in the video where you hit the Togepi quickly as a group with items. They only stay panicked for a few seconds so you have to be quick. Once you have however many you want to despawn at once panicked, fast travel away from the outbreak and the ones that are panicking will despawn together.
No, it's impossible to know if they're big enough until someone just does it. Bulbapedia's list is more or less accurate except for Gyarados which was a recent discovery.

Pokedoku unlimited still has a lot of bugs to fix. It asked me for a mono-type Hisuian Pokemon even with logic on and Arceus didn't count as a Normal type Legendary.
I don't work for PokeDoku but there is a Hisuian monotype: White-Stripe Basculin As for the latter the Legendary category doesn't include Mythicals like Arceus
@@SirToastyToes Okay, I will give that I forgot about White stripe and only thought of Basculegion! Those variants are tricky ones. But the Arceus thing is debatable since it doesn't seem like the community can decide whether it is legendary or mythical. Most people I know consider it a legendary.
I can't put my finger on it, but personally, everything after Gen 7, maybe 8 feels like a cheap chinese knockoff... like I do appreciate modern Pokémon for its quality of life features but maybe it's the playground rumor level secrets missing.
It's impossible to have secrets for more than a week because of the speed of information. There are playground rumor quests for Keldeo and Meloetta in the Gen 8 and 9 DLCs, but they were solved in a few days tops. The regi puzzles have that enduring mystery because it was a different time
@@SirToastyToes I hear you, and I agree. What I mean is the level of convoluted that the secret actually is, rather than how long it actually takes nowadays to figure out. My favorite example is the "The absurd depths of the pokeblock" video by Linneus (they reference you for the TV events thing btw). Is it more complicated than it needs to be? Sure. Can datamining solve it more easily nowadays? Sure. But it's still *cool* :D The fact I can still learn new things about a game I've been playing since my childhood is just amazing. It's probably impossible to accurately capture that feeling nowadays, but hey since I'm an insane person and my favorite type is Ice, gen 7 and 8 have actually added alot of good stuff for me so I won't complain too much :D Edit: A good example might be the Saggitarius Bow in FF12 Zodiark Age. Didn't take too long to figure out but that whole secret is on a level where I wouldn't believe it if there was no video evidence :DD

I can't put my finger on it, but personally, everything after Gen 7, maybe 8 feels like a cheap chinese knockoff... like I do appreciate modern Pokémon for its quality of life features but maybe it's the playground rumor level secrets missing.
It's impossible to have secrets for more than a week because of the speed of information. There are playground rumor quests for Keldeo and Meloetta in the Gen 8 and 9 DLCs, but they were solved in a few days tops. The regi puzzles have that enduring mystery because it was a different time
@@SirToastyToes I hear you, and I agree. What I mean is the level of convoluted that the secret actually is, rather than how long it actually takes nowadays to figure out. My favorite example is the "The absurd depths of the pokeblock" video by Linneus (they reference you for the TV events thing btw). Is it more complicated than it needs to be? Sure. Can datamining solve it more easily nowadays? Sure. But it's still *cool* :D The fact I can still learn new things about a game I've been playing since my childhood is just amazing. It's probably impossible to accurately capture that feeling nowadays, but hey since I'm an insane person and my favorite type is Ice, gen 7 and 8 have actually added alot of good stuff for me so I won't complain too much :D
Edit: A good example might be the Saggitarius Bow in FF12 Zodiark Age. Didn't take too long to figure out but that whole secret is on a level where I wouldn't believe it if there was no video evidence :DD
