Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!
I want to mention the faster charging on the S7 is only noticeable when charging to 50%. If you are topping off past 50% battery, both tabs will charge alike in rate.
Went with the S6. The much better AMOLED screen combined with a 256GB option and 8GB of ram for around $500 is a great deal. It's currently going for $529 on Samsung's site.
I'm leaning towards S6 for the OLED screen as well. My understanding is that it really is that much better than an LCD screen. Wish he would have addressed this in the video.
Had my s7 since February and already cracked screen when it's never been dropped nothing samsung have gone 🌰🌰 they've gone for cheap rubbish instead of quality and make you spend more for the cheap crap
I recently made the change from tab s6 to tab s7 and its been great. On the s7 like the stylus, 120hz refresh rate, and the finger sensor on the power button. My s6 was great and had no issues with it either.
The Tab S7/S7+ is simply the best tablet in the world. At least for me. For some it might be the iPad Pros. But the S7s are just too good! Such beauties and powerful beasts! The best thing about the S7, is the gorgeous display/screen! 😍🤩 Followed by multitasking/split screens and then in 3rd is the amazing fingerprint on the power button! Also 120hz, 4 amazing speakers, microSD storage, DeX mode, free pencil, etc. Best $632 I have ever spend! Unlike iPads, the Tab S7/S7+ aren't overpriced and are great value for its price. The 11" iPad Pro is originally $800 + $130 for the Apple Pencil 2 = $930 vs the S7 $650. So I'm paying like $300 less for something that is better and that I like way more. That said, the S7 is usually at $550. When it comes to looks, I think the Tab S6 looks a little ugly and the S7/S7+ have most beautiful design I have ever seen on a tablet, I'm still in love with it and with the 3 colors, you just can't stop staring at these beauties. The flat and brushed edges too 😍 Even tho I don't like the iPad Pros & Air 4 design that much, they are still more beautiful than the S6 & S6 Lite imo.
I found this "real world" review practical and very informative. For a fair price I picked up the Galaxy Tab S6 (not the Lite version) and fitted a 256Gb SD card . . . . its a great "supplement" to my main laptop and I take it everywhere.

very nice comparison , in my country s6 is 30 dollars more expensive than s7, buying tab s7 you get Samsung Galaxy buds + for free, so I bought tab s7, the camera in the middle for me works better for video calls and of course 120 hz
Excellent comparison! I upgraded to the S7 a few weeks ago and used my S6 for trade in to lower the cost. While I'm fairly happy with the S7 I ran into one issue that's soured my experience a little. With the S6 I found a 3rd party case I absolutely loved. It was magnetic and covered the pen while in the charging dock. The only cases I can find for the S7 are clip on cases where you store the pen in a separate position. It's not a huge issue, but a bit annoying considering how much I love the previous case.
Thanks for your sincerity. But I don't entirely agree with you. I have both tablets and the only reason to keep the s7 is that it is clearly better for drawing (because of the 120hz and shorter response time). But for the rest, the galaxy tab s6 has a better screen, better sound and the battery lasts longer because amoled uses less and has a smaller screen and less Hz. It is also more ergonomic, thin and light.

Good video! I like the no nonsense approach. I have a Tab S4 with the keyboard (no track pad). Would it be worthwhile to upgrade to the S7 or maybe the +? The S4 I'm using works well and is the right size for browsing the internet in the evening and the onscreen keyboard is very useable in portrait mode. I find at work with the folio keyboard and in DEX mode, I'm relatively stylus dependent and the folio keyboard is bit small to type on. I appreciate your thoughts in advance. I subbed!

Good review, very helpful. I needed a tablet mainly for music processing - lyric/chord app during practice and live performances. Being new to tablets, I started with rooting a Galaxy Tab 2 from 2012 and the performance was terrible. I started looking at the Tab A, but it seemed very bare bones. Then I saw your review of the S6 Lite and S6 and thought I had made up my mind on the 6 Lite. But I liked some of the features of the S6 (processor, screen) so I was leaning towards the S6. Now that I see the close price comparison between the S6 and S7, I'm leaning towards the S7 (30% processor performance increase over S6, screen resolution/type again), plus I would now be able to run my Steinberg Cubase Music Production software on the S7 (would have been questionable on the S6 with that specific processor). In a nutshell, I want something that is supported for a few years by the manufacturer, can do more than just music display/processing and has the ability to multitask smoothly. The larger size of the S7 (11") helps with my band work and appears it will integrate well with my Bluetooth 5 scrolling pedals. Thanks for the review. Now, I just need to convince my wife. But that is a story for another day, obviously. Lol. Thanks again.
Have you tested or made recommendations for a folio/keyboard for the Tab S7, OTHER than the Samsung one? I don't like the fact that it separates, it doesn't all stay connected together.
I have not. I haven't use any keyboards with the S7. Only the s7+, and that has only been the samsung one. I use it sparingly so I haven't bought another one.
I appreciated your comment about the battery life "claiming to be 15 hours ", I've had my S6 for over a year and my experience is 7-10 hours in mixed use. Now 10 hours is not bad but still nowhere near 15. Other than that the screen is very good, the pen is among the best, and I've had no problems with apps crashing or any other issues.
Do you know if the tab S7 pen will work on the tab S6? I have a Tab S6 but lost the pen and Samsung website is out of stock for the S6 pen. I am wondering if the cheap pens on eBay are equivalent replacement because they don't have Bluetooth functionality.

My tab s4 broke and I had insurance and bought the tab s7 and to be honest the screen is perfectly fine. I would keep the s7 because its up to date technology

Bruh if it weren't that refresh rate, I would just go for the S6. Most people game on their tablets, though, that's why a higher refresh rate would be better

What price gap are you talking about? Between the s6 and the S7 there is none from what I've been able to ascertain on the Samsung website. They are both listing at the exact same base price
@@RichieColemanSr For me the screen is good. I am watching netflix for a week now and no complain at all.. It can play youtube in 1440 settings as well.. Ofcourse, other apps are not optimize yet and maybe on future updates they can fix it all. Dexmode is fine, I used it on my work. Keyboard is good as well.. Battery life can last a day with basic needs, if you are heavy gamer it can last for 5-6 hrs with 120 hz.. This is just on my experience. And wait the quad speakers are superb!!

Maybe I should have sprang for the tab s7 but the AMOLED screen and the placement of the fingerprint sensor were just too good. And then there is the slight overclock, I don't know if it.. does it do anything? Is there a noticeable performance difference between the slightly overclocked sS7 plus and the regular S7?
If the S6 is working fine I would just hang onto it for now. I don't think there is much of a noticeable difference really and I like the screen on the S6. If you want a newer tablet, don't buy the Tab S7 and wait until the Tab S8 comes out in a few months and trade in your S6 for good trade in credit with Samsung and upgrade then.

I have the tab S6 with cellular which I got from TMobile for half off a year ago. Samsung does have great deals on trade-ins but when you factor in the original cost of the S6 trading it in for the S7 the savings isn't really that significant. 60mHz vs 120mHz to be honest I don't see much difference. The OLED on the S6 is awesome with deep blacks when watching movies. One question is do the pens on each tabs interchangeable? Also, I bought an iPad Pro 11 tablet with cellular. The tab S6 and the iPad are awesome tablets. Thanks for the review.
I love my Galaxy Tab S6. But after viewing 4 hours of UA-cam videos, my tablet is down to about 39% battery remaining. is this normal? Or do I have a battery that is on the way out? If you own a Galaxy Tab S6, what is your normal battery life remaining after 4 hours of continuous UA-cam use? I hope someone will read this who knows tablets and give me a good answer.
Got an S6 works great for me do my image editing and works great for making music I might upgrade to S8 Tab later this if I see something massive change wise

In a nutshell, I want something that is supported for a few years by the manufacturer, can do more than just music display/processing and has the ability to multitask smoothly. The larger size of the S7 (11") helps with my band work and appears it will integrate well with my Bluetooth 5 scrolling pedals. Thanks for the review. Now, I just need to convince my wife. But that is a story for another day, obviously. Lol. Thanks again.

Have you tested or made recommendations for a folio/keyboard for the Tab S7, OTHER than the Samsung one? I don't like the fact that it separates, it doesn't all stay connected together.
I have not. I haven't use any keyboards with the S7. Only the s7+, and that has only been the samsung one. I use it sparingly so I haven't bought another one.

I appreciated your comment about the battery life "claiming to be 15 hours ", I've had my S6 for over a year and my experience is 7-10 hours in mixed use. Now 10 hours is not bad but still nowhere near 15. Other than that the screen is very good, the pen is among the best, and I've had no problems with apps crashing or any other issues.

Do you know if the tab S7 pen will work on the tab S6? I have a Tab S6 but lost the pen and Samsung website is out of stock for the S6 pen. I am wondering if the cheap pens on eBay are equivalent replacement because they don't have Bluetooth functionality.

My tab s4 broke and I had insurance and bought the tab s7 and to be honest the screen is perfectly fine. I would keep the s7 because its up to date technology

Bruh if it weren't that refresh rate, I would just go for the S6. Most people game on their tablets, though, that's why a higher refresh rate would be better

What price gap are you talking about? Between the s6 and the S7 there is none from what I've been able to ascertain on the Samsung website. They are both listing at the exact same base price

@@RichieColemanSr For me the screen is good. I am watching netflix for a week now and no complain at all.. It can play youtube in 1440 settings as well.. Ofcourse, other apps are not optimize yet and maybe on future updates they can fix it all. Dexmode is fine, I used it on my work. Keyboard is good as well.. Battery life can last a day with basic needs, if you are heavy gamer it can last for 5-6 hrs with 120 hz.. This is just on my experience.
And wait the quad speakers are superb!!

Maybe I should have sprang for the tab s7 but the AMOLED screen and the placement of the fingerprint sensor were just too good. And then there is the slight overclock, I don't know if it.. does it do anything? Is there a noticeable performance difference between the slightly overclocked sS7 plus and the regular S7?
If the S6 is working fine I would just hang onto it for now. I don't think there is much of a noticeable difference really and I like the screen on the S6. If you want a newer tablet, don't buy the Tab S7 and wait until the Tab S8 comes out in a few months and trade in your S6 for good trade in credit with Samsung and upgrade then.
@@TechOdyssey I use the-even-older tab s5e, and loving the amoled screen. Should I upgrade to s6 or s7 if I do care about the screen? Recently I tried the s7 fe and the screen was not every in the same class with mine. Thanks for the advice....and no, I don't think I can afford the upcoming s8😁

I have the tab S6 with cellular which I got from TMobile for half off a year ago. Samsung does have great deals on trade-ins but when you factor in the original cost of the S6 trading it in for the S7 the savings isn't really that significant. 60mHz vs 120mHz to be honest I don't see much difference. The OLED on the S6 is awesome with deep blacks when watching movies. One question is do the pens on each tabs interchangeable? Also, I bought an iPad Pro 11 tablet with cellular. The tab S6 and the iPad are awesome tablets. Thanks for the review.
Pretty sure they're the exact same stylus so if for some reason the one on either one breaks the replacement will be the same one

I love my Galaxy Tab S6. But after viewing 4 hours of UA-cam videos, my tablet is down to about 39% battery remaining. is this normal? Or do I have a battery that is on the way out?
