I’m a g2 fan myself but the level of cs played at kato wasn’t exactly stellar…
Prof and Striker have such stale opinions...the one about Yekindar being the only win condition for liquid is so bad. yes he is important considering his position within the team but are they looking at the screen when they say this lol? they went to semis with Yeki going -24 on the tourney.
Striker's take on Osee being too passive of an awper because of how he played a 1v1 situation (where he was trying to play mind games with Dupreeh) is one of the worst takes I have heard from him in a long time.

The one I disagree with a lot is Vitality. I feel like they deserve a D+ or a straight D, but not a C+. That Overpass throw was a travesty, and apEX's calling in that series was awful. They beat NIP like they should, fnatic pushed them much harder than a team of this caliber should be pushed, they got absolutely bodied by Heroic, and throwing Overpass and losing the series the way they did is the first major nail in the coffin for this lineup.
Calling it now: this team is going to be embarrassed in Paris, and they're going to bench apEX and have Magisk IGL. It's clear the communication is really bad for the team, and that's leading to this team having terrible T-sides where they gather no information and die pointlessly, not to mention neither apEX or Dupreeh is really cracking open bomb sites right now, and it's a boat anchor to their CT sides where everyone else on this team really knows their role and can hold a site. If they get eliminated before the knockout stage, at least 1 head should roll, and apEX is the obvious person to replace.

NaVi B- vs Liquid B+ makes no sense. NaVi has new player and still beat Liquid 2-0 in group stage.
Havent reached the explanation, but personally that sounds about right. I dont believe Liquid can beat G2 or Heroic, i think their ceiling for this tournament was semis, and maybe taking a map off of G2.
Navi, however, their ceiling is around grand finals, i dont think they couldve beat G2 or Heroic in a bo5 but in a bo3? For sure they shouldve been capable of at least beating Heroic, even with a new player. S1mple underperformed heavily during semis, so I think the b minus is justifiable.

Edit: now that im seeing their justifications, it became clear that these ratings are not meant to be compared from team to team, but rather based on how each team performed relative to what they could achieve and what was expected of them. Point being, Liquid getting a better grade than Navi doesnt mean that they think Liquid is the better team

I'm a die hard fan of g2 but they need to be humble before they win the major. The more you are an underdog the more chance you have to win
Idk how being humble has anything to do with their chances of victory or losing now considering g2 has been humbled for years now, winning two tournaments isn't gonna make them forget. Niko won blast and still knew there was a chance to katowice and hunter has spoken about not becoming over confident on different occasions, I don't think it's an issue

@@maxedoutbeing3239 I completely disagree, g2s issue for the longest time has been NOT having confidence. They have thrown 1st place many times to throwing games and choking them. That's why everyone questioned what would happen if g2 dropped a map in katowice, would they choke the rest of the tournament because they thought they couldn't be stopped? The confidence they came through with on ancient after dropping inferno was something special after all the defeats and chokes in their history.
I'm not discrediting what you're saying but I don't think that's really an issue for g2

Yes, they definitely gotta lessen some of their aggressive plays in post plant scenarios where they overextend, but at the same time, if they dont play cocky, you wont get the impact plays of jks and hunter with their 2vXs and 1vXs, you wont get the same impact from M0nesy and Niko's playstyle, heck you wont even get the same effect from Hooxi's weird ass calling that seems to work out for them.
I think they dont need to humble themselves, but they also have to not be overconfident. They found the perfect balance of cockiness that works for them without being detrimental

The casters and desk hyped up the scenario of g2 losing their map streak and tilting hard and throwing. They lost the map streak and still closed out of the game. This makes them more than legit to me.

Nah, Faze lost to good teams. Not saying that isn't like a low C or possibly a D, but it's not a complete failure from the team. The trends for the team are worrying, but we'll see what happens with either the grand slam or major.
@@pellevastano Losing to G2 is fine but losing to liquid is unacceptable for the caliber of team faze is. Same can be said for vitality but in vitality's case, it's apex who lost them the game; in faze's case, it's a systematic problem. Their map pool is garbage: their overpass is basically free for taking by any team; their good maps, inferno and nuke, are no longer world-class; they always second ban anuibis for some reason and they aren't that good on ancient as well; they constantly float mirage as the decider and constantly losing. Their discipline is also absolutely horrible in the game against liquid with players constantly overpeeking and giving back men advantages. Their strat basically relies on osee missing easy shots. For these reasons, faze absolutely deserve an f grade for their Katowice performance.
