@@briantezo9232 once you get back to your original camp by going to any of the waypoints on the mainland he will come back and it’s SUPER cute, I had ASTORIAN interrupt me this time since I had to start over with my ps5 but his was the kindest interaction, it was pretty cute. Also if you have speak with animals him and the pup are super cute to listen to, find the potions if you don’t have the spell!

Why doesnt the owlbear cub have all white feathers? Do they not have down feathers in their early stages?
I guess I'm no expert on owlbear physiology :)
The white owlbear is the tundra variation, think polar bear. This is the normal color for owlbears.
@@catandrobbyfloresI don’t think they were talking about whether or not it’s white, I think they’re talking about down feathers. When a baby bird is born precocial (that is, born the way a chicken is, being fuzzy from the start as opposed to songbirds which are born naked), it has softer, fluffier feathers. These are down feathers, which are much silkier to the touch than adult feathers in many birds, and serve to keep the chicks warm. Owl chicks in particular have down feathers that are a greyish-white color, at least generally speaking, so I can see where the original commenter was coming from.
However, given that this cub is walking around on its own and doesn’t rely on a parent regurgitating food into its mouth, I would wager it’s probably too old to have that kind of fluff anyway.
Yeah I think the idea is it’s already past that development stage. Compare it to the adult.
Astarian was the one that scared the cub in my game. He was eyeballing it for dinner
