Hello, I followed "Robbins & Cortan Pathologic Basis of Disease 9th Edition", "Harsh Mohan Text Book of Pathology 6th Edition ", 'Rapid Review Pathology by Goljan" etc. to make this video. Take care and stay blessed. :)
Thanks for the presentation, great job! Do you have any publications on the pathophysiology of DIC? Or, could you recommend specific scientific publication(s) or reviews (preferably, recent and well-cited) that thoroughly covers the pathophysiology of sepsis-induced DIC. Thanks for your time & Best wishes

+Shithi Ahmed Thank you for liking my video. Massive blood transfusion may result in certain special complications. Among these complications the most important are cardiac arrhythmia , ventricular fibrillation and cardiac arrest. Dilutional thrombocytopenia , DIC, impaired platelet function etc. may also occur. Stored blood is subjected to significant loss of platelets and labile clotting factors that can contribute to dilutional thrombocytopenia. DIC may be caused by underlying conditions which were the reasons of massive transfusion in the first place. If DIC is evident cryoprecipitate rich in factor VIII and fibrinogen will be required in addition to the other clotting factors. Dilutional thrombocytopenia is more common complication than DIC. Take care and stay blessed. Best wishes from Bangladesh.
