And yeah...i drove my car spiritedly mainly...and hot climate where 25degree Celcius temperature is as cold as it gets here.. average 36degree C and in hot season often reaching over 41degree C ambient temp... With constant 90%~ 100% humidity 😂😂😂
So dont be surprised many sub 300whp "performance"car were equipped with oil cooler and oil catch tank as standard practice in my local place...
I wouldn't know what Seat or the Cupra was , if it wasn't for Gran Turismo . If I remember correctly they actually had a race series called the Cupra Cup . And because I live in Canada , that game is the only experience I have with the Nurburgring to .
Surprised they lad
With some amazing control..
I'm not too keen on front wheel drive but the popcorn is cooking very nice back there :D
The smoke is some what normal for this engine. This smoke issue happens to the golf r mk7 which should have similar or same engine and it can be fixed with a good catch can. This definitely needs an oil cooler.
Yes, Racing Line oil catch can ( for example ).
Do these guys not know Misha literally records and uploads to youtube from every angle? Is a shaky camera angle from their Samsung’s really that much better?
This car needs oil cooler and something to avoid slushing oil into the turbo + scan for error codes to figure out why it switched to limp mode during the lap. I'd guess overheating but definitely check the ECU data.
Like thebcar other than the silly pops amd bangs
I think the car needs a good oil catch can to resolve the smoking problem. When you go very fast you have to put it on. Racingline it's a good one.
Sick James Bond car you got there.
I can see water temp at 130 and oil 135! Oil rads needed, the temp is not real anyway but isn correct warming up so much. Install polar fis and read on cdb the engine parameter (ps I have cupra 300)
This thing is absolutely INSANE! Amazing video👏🏼
Ahhhhhh yes..... the rice burner, unburnt fuel into the exhaust to add "cracks and pops". I dont know who ever would have thought that sounded good. It sounds 10x better without that rice burning crap.
So many movies and still so many morons TRYING TO HOLD their phones while driving instead of enjoying and maybe learning something from an expert behind the wheel. Respect Misha for your patience
That is a fast little hatchback well done on the build looks amazing ❤
Wattis cupra, the man the myth the James 👏👏
Wow the temps, quite frightening...
Its a racecar, you change the engine once and a while and so 😅
@@jbmectronic4314 with the EA888, there are several aftermarket options for cooling thought
The REV Limiter is mapped to high! 7.500 rpm ist to much for the standard Cam Shaft setup!
On top the mapping on temperature management is not modified and could be set to open earlier
I thought the speed was in kmh until about halfway through the lap 🤯
That looked like it was a pretty dialled car and even sounded good, but the cooling is obviously wildly inadequate for the power level. Oil temps in the high 130s? That's not going to last long.
In reality these high powered UK cars rarely get used on track, even absolutely kicking it's head in you'll struggle to get over 120⁰C on a street, 140⁰C for a one off lap isn't too much of a concern but i agree it needs better oil and an intercooler/oil cooler
Awesome. Do your passengers know you're filming it anyway, so they don't need to!? (Probably in much better quality / less-shaking
than they're getting on their cellphone)
He burnt more oil than fuel in that lap😂
That little flash at 2:44 🙌🏻
With great power comes great need of cooling...
At least arent the 150 ° C of the stock typer fl5
All that power, thats alot to be asked from the engine without oil cooler! Car itself seem having alot of potential
Fuck me, must have to put a litre of oil in that for every lap completed 😂
2:44 Other Leon saying 'Hi' to more powerfull brother 😄
Hi bud love your channel and content .....is there any way to say to people ....enjoy the drive I'm already filming it
I drove a leon 280 for a year in 2016/17, a great car... After a few months I raised it to 35X hp and it was great, and after a few more months to 40X hp and then the front drive had a lot more difficulty handling that power (road tires/ conti sc 7).... I think this is a little too much for fwd.
Good advice.
If you had proper tires you would have been fine even with 400bhp.
@@billmanello I agree for the track with wider tires and semi-slick up front. But my comment was about daily and fast driving on back roads. There is a struggle with the front end, and in my opinion, approx. 350 hp is optimal.
@@WhiteP01 A long time ( fwd cars ), the limit was 220hp...
@@mdev8846 That's right. That was the case without LSD, but the cupra has it, it really works great, but up to a certain limit, as I said above.
This is the best short thriller/horror movie I've seen this year so far 😈
that fast cupra with manual just awesome
loving the rear cam
Good ol 2.0T VW PCV valve smokey action🤣
Yeeep haha
If you instal a catch can oil ( Racing Line brand ), the smoke problem never appears again.
That oil temp tho. I've looking at it since the lap started and asked myself wtf is going on with that car.
Amazing driver but for me gears down one too many in the tight stuff, especially in the cars that can pull extra gear ie turbos
"can i reset?" 0.0000001sec later, DONE
Saw you today for 2 secs at the apex building while driving past it😝
He needs to run Motul 8100 and also should get an APR oil catch Can.
how it changes oil temp ?
Racingline catch can is the best
@@ZlobniyTapoG because it has a better viscosity
@@manuelparra6934 better than ?
Do you know about dependency between Oil T and viscosity ?
First of all he need to decrease oil temperature. Its main problem, Motul its not solution.
Cleaning heater exchanger or replace it to more effective external radiator.
