👍Though we've seen vast improvement at the five spot some of the blown defensive moves by our post players at times are head scratchers. The one towards the closing minutes of the game where you allow the Davidson post player to fake you into leaving your feet and pull yourself out of position to defend the shot......Pitiful! Why haven't we taught the fundamentals of defense: watch your opponent's waistline, it always tells you what action your opponent is going to make before they even make it. The waistline moves right or left before your opponent. Stop watching the ball and eye movements of your opponent and you're stop being faked out of position.
Hat's off to Coach Moore for executing a well-structured game plan for an upset-minded Davidson program that loves to feast on wins over ACC teams. They might play like garbage and get blown out by teams ranked 68th and lower, but you best believe when they see an ACC team on the schedule, they turn into the Ladies of South Carolina University basketball. LOL! But seriously Coach Moore, well done! You kept the ball in your hottest players hands, controlled the tempo, identified matchup advantages and weaknesses, and most importantly, you played to win, not falling into the conservative trap that has cost the Wolfpack Women games in the past.
Wes is gonna have to bring in some better players at the 5 position in coming seasons
