That season Perišić tore his ligaments so he barely played. That's the reason he joined the club. After recovering he bought out his contract and left on free. Caused quite a stir. On the bright side, Rakitić recently joined.
Hajduk was once a powerhouse in football. Reached CL quarer finals 3 times (all 3 times lost to that year's winner😅) and were the only club in Yugoslavia to win a league title without losing. Now we are bad because of countless mistakes in leadership throught the last 2 decades and our finances beaing a disaster but we picked back up purely through marketing and fans support and now we finally have some chance to fight for a trophy.
Perišić was awaited in Hajduk since 2018 when he promised his return and when he finally came even injured we welcomed him as our hero and he didn't play for 4 months since his signing. After his injury healed he entered and did nothing for a few games he played (which was expected since he had a big injury) and everyone still supported him, but then Gennaro Gattuso came as a coach and everyone started wondering why Perisic isn't playing and then Gattuso exposed that Perisic came to him and said he wants to leave (at that point he was at the club for only 6 months and played 7 matches and not even full 90 mins and scored 1 goal) and then he left and now we know that he is a snake who used his "boyhood club" and "dream" as a rehabilitation station. Also if you ask anyone who loves Hajduk about Livaja, he's seen as a literal God here.😂
As a loyal Hajduk fan i thank you for doing this video man mad appreciative! Hajduk has always been a club to look out for in terms of passion and love for the club. It isn't really just a team that alot of Dalmatians go crazy for its more than that many Croats outside of Croatia support the team even in Canada the U.S. Australia and so on. I've even seen some photos of young black football fans wearing Hajduk kits for an example in Ghana or in Tanzania it's amazing how far we can go. Torcida (the supporters group of Hajduk Split) is the oldest supporters group in Europe and is highly respected amongst people. The media is usually obsessed with us here in Croatia i swear they scrutinize us too much lmao. And i can confidently say that we have the best supporters group in Croatia yeah an argument can be made for Rijeka's Armada and Dinamo's Bad Blue Boys but i just don't see it at all. Even through everything we support our team everywhere they go even in Israel or in the Faroe Islands. The club (at the moment) has 122,649 fans with the club memberships and i believe we are in the top 16 of clubs with the most fans with a club membership which is great. In terms of passion we are in conversations with alot of German supporters too (shoutout HSV) And we can definently be persistent annoying and a great 12th player for our team when times get tough. We stop the game by throwing flares and the game stops for like 6-8 minutes (examples like against NK Varaždin or GNK Dinamo Zagreb) Even in a normal league game there are some amazing photos of the supporters going wild i love this club once again thanks man. Hajduk is the only team in the former Yugoslavia that went unbeaten in the Yugoslav league in 1950 (Torcida was founded that year) And we burned down the Yugoslav flag against Partizan at one point stopping the whole game with the fans invading the pitch (We've done that many times) We even played in Africa and in the Middle East and won the Free France trophy even beating some armies and brigades in a game of football! And our youth team got to the Champions League final with our fans being the loudest in every single game even against Milan Dortmund and City. Anyway...i'm done saying my piece here for now. Cheers.
Legend goes that chequers is when Croatian king was imprisoned he play game of chess and if he win they relese him and he win none know why actually they relese our king
Love it!!! Great history and amazing fans in Hajduk. Keep it up and have great rebuilds in the future. May I ask if there is a plan to make on with a team from Bosnia? Perhaps F.K. Zeljeznicar :) huge rivalry with fk sarajevo. Edin Dzeko stated off in Zeljeznicar and many other Bosnian national team players.
We are obsessed with Checkers because it was forbidden for us to have it in Yugoslavia. Having possibility to have checkers means we finally have our country which we didnt have sine 1100 :D.... You would've understood if someone had forbid you from hoisting your colours :D
I’m getting a little bored of the same players becoming free. I understand it will be repetitive now and again but it’s the same again and again. Hopefully the next game sorts that
Its not a great ownership model. Its shit where people who think they are someone make decisions based on their likings. It has fucked us over more than it has helped (It helped us get out of debt that tells you a lot...)
It's a good model (german model), but like all models you depend on people who are in position of making decisions. You can't expect 100k people to make decisions so the selected few officials are the ones on who the club depends. Unfortunatley not a lot of competent people to do this job in a small nation like Croatia
so HNK stands for Hrvatski Nogometni Klub or Croatian football club, we have checkers because thats our crest on our national flag. And its not Dynomo Kyev but Dinamo Zagreb
In reality, Marko Livaja is too good for Croatian HNL league. He was best player in Greece, and you should see some of his skills and goals against Dynamo. As an Hajduk Fan, he is really really important to all of us, especially now that he has Rakitic with him who is superb midfielder. Please if you get some time, check some of his goals, he is superior player.
Funny thing, you got knocked out from Champions League by one of Hajduk's biggest rivals (Crvena Zvezda) and after that knocked out from Europa League by Benfica who's fans are in friendly relations with Hajduk's fans.
@@chillwinston oh that 5:0 bottle job against Crvena Zvezda would start a riot in Split, Croatia. If Hajduk lost 4:1 lead in the Champions League on Poljud (our stadium in Split) against Zvezda by going 5 down.... damn. A full blown riot would start. Would not be funny at ALL 😆
That season Perišić tore his ligaments so he barely played. That's the reason he joined the club. After recovering he bought out his contract and left on free. Caused quite a stir. On the bright side, Rakitić recently joined.
Oh… what a prick 😂 Well we’ll have to go again with Rakitic!

Wow… taken me 10 minutes to digest all that! You guys are passionate 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
23:34 gotta play him in cup as starter to develop
Think I’ll develop more youth in future videos

I can’t tell if you’re trolling me or not… 😂
@@chillwinstonits actual story I also got told bit its probably not true
@kika191grg haha well it shall remain a mystery
@@chillwinston yeah we dont know why its checkers its old coat of arms
I loved it man, very good run :), will check some more
Thank you brother
Always love to see a Croatian club. Thanks, m8!
Btw, the j is said like Juventus or Ajax, not dj.
I will never get the names right! 😭

Oooooo I’ll get them on the list brother thank you!
Nikola!!
Always love bringing players from the Academy
It doesn’t happen enough! What a hero

Was so excited for omar solet to be a free agent

Oh I see. This is why I love the comment section! What ownership model would you prefer?

@vinkobarisic253 I don’t think there’s many in the world full stop sadly
As opposed to the normal model where one person who think they are someone make decisions based on their likings, and no one can put a break on that
Do you sim the games or do you manage them you rack through the games fast lol
Sim all the way mate. Think my wife would divorce me if I played seasons a week 😂
lol aye I know lol

Many thanks. But why do you have checkers on your flag?
@@chillwinston it is as old as country itself. Royal crest I believe.
Croatia was a kingdom a long time ago
@krunokb24 I’m a big fan of history and like to learn from the people
@@chillwinston all you have to know that we had very bloody past and we were always better as servants than masters
its not Dinamo Kiev its Dinamo Zagreb....
I’d love to say this was deliberate so I’d get some comments but I noticed whilst editing I switch between the two 😂
Now you have to do dinamo zagreb
Or Kiev 😂

Perišić plays for PSV Eindhoven now
Shame I wanted him to stay on £100 p/w 😂

I know I’m sorry!
Do dinamo zagreb
I’ve got them on the FM25 list
