Let’s go Angelo! . I got 7 grills on my deck right now I’m a big grill addict lol. Nice set up ya got there . Crazy all this time never knew ya had another channel .
Very helpful on a ton of items, thanks. As a quick suggestion, I'd go towards a more heat resistant tabletop surface than Trex. Have you considered solid surface or marble/granite tile? You wouldn't even have to necessarily remove your existing top, just cover with Hardie backer board and tile away! If you don't like it, you can even pull it off and be right back where you started. Another idea - find a local countertop installer and ask them to finish cut 2 matching quartz/granite sink cutouts for each side. No work for you - provides instant heat resistance and 2 washable cutting board surfaces.
@@AngeloBodetti My next project as well. I also just bought a Cuisinart 360 XL griddle to incorporate into what I hope to be a more complete cooking station. I went with the 360XL as a poor man's Evo and it should go right into a table cutout with removal of the cart and side tables. Not sure what I'll use for a countertop surface, but considering flush marble-like tile, corian or quartz. Corian cuts pretty easily, may try and find a slab to use, FB marketplace is full of them at very low prices.
So you think Kamado Joe makes that Dutch oven, and Walmart makes theirs ? Just buy good Lodge cookware and you’ll probably pay less and Walmart does sell it along with any reputable retail outlet. I have 2 Joes and I’d definitely never use wood around the Kamado I’d have issues sleeping with it burning I’d use granite or some type of non flammable material around my Kamado. and I’d definitely also buy some Kamado Joe feet to put under my Joe so it doesn’t get damaged.
How is the wood holding up to the heat? I’m finishing up a table that is nearly identical. I’m concerned about the heat. I’ll have at least 1” clearance from the rectangular sides.
I have a family of 3 and love to bbq been thinking about getting one do you think the size is enough or would you have gotten the big one in hindsight thanks for the video great work
After. The only tangible difference is the slo roller. Which honestly doesn’t impress me. It’s a giant contraption that can only handle less than 350 degrees. I don’t need more things to work about!
Links in the description!
Thanks for all the work that goes into these!
I recommend an ash vac, not a shop vac. They are designed to deal with fine ash and the filters don’t get clogged as easy as a shop vac.
I have a shop vac with a bag for dust inside, works super well
I like this guy. Very knowledgeable
Thank you!
I'd do either tile top or a Wilson Art. I'd also add another set of casters under the smoker
Gem of a channel. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the comment!
Awesome setup!
Thanks!

Thanks, random COVID hobby when I had free time
Excellent video! Love the all around review of everything and the table looks great
Thank you VERY much!
I highly recommend ceramic feet to creat an air gap to help protect the wood under the stone.

Thanks for the tip. I will likely sell this and make a new one or a more permanent solution.

No issues anywhere. Table is doing well. I keep it covered but covering doesn’t protect it from 100 degree Texas summers.
Nice useful info, thanks !
Glad you enjoyed, let me know if you have any questions

Did you get your 2 before or after the 3 came out? I'm trying to decide between them.

A concrete top would be much more practical than wood or Trex.

what is the distance from the ground/floor to the handle?
Good question, I’ll have to measure it later but it’s at my chest. That’s an easy adjustment when building
@@AngeloBodetti I really appreciate it thank you
Dang, you got the tiny one.
Tiny what? This is like the 5th weird comment you’ve left on my videos
@@AngeloBodetti tiny Kamado.
