-About the Speaker
Shawn Wildermuth has been in the software engineering field since 1985. From his first job through to today, he's been passionate about solving the hard problems in software development. His approach is clearly pragmatic and practical. He has worked at companies from small start-ups and large corporations in a variety of vertical markets.
He's spent many years with one leg in user interface design, and the other leg in back-end development. These days that means that he spends most of his time digging into web development with a variety of tools from ASP.NET Core and Node.js, to JavaScript, TypeScript, and SPA frameworks like Angular and Vue.
For the past twenty years, he has enabled more than a million students to build web applications and enterprise applications across the world. He has authored seven books and innumerable articles on software development. You can also see him at one of the local and international conferences he's spoken at like VSLive, Techorama, KCDC, DevConnections and others.
