- Some video of a club in New England holding their 116th annual clambake.
This club is generally credited with holding the first official clambake in New England. It is done above ground, using a damp canvas tarp to trap in the steam.
This is a great tradition. So are the metal sheets around the rick in order to both concentrate the heat AND protect you if any of the rocks should explode?
I wonder how many people that serves. I know I would put one hell of a dent in it. If I could get the chance.

Finally a tradition you cannot find with a google search because I tried. I know my grandfather did not use pots when we had clambakes . It was all on the ground with seaweed and rocks. This is probably similar to what you are doing without the sheet metal.
now where I can fine rock weed from the ocean please help cheers
