I just don't even know what to say about this. I want to throw a load of adjectives at it but Jonny has stunned me into silence. And it's the most beautiful place. ❤️

So many powerful insights provided to use each day as we travel the distance of life. We change as we experience life (growing older is totally great!) and all the thoughts presented in this podcast are so valuable in that these thoughts may make each day amazing (without knowing what the limit is). Great interview and powerful questions pool.

Because Jonny is so interesting, you don’t challenge enough of what he says. What that does mean is that there is a lot of space for me to explore here, but I think with us being emotional creatures and living as individuals in a society. Jake addressed some briefly ‘how do you let go?’ but I don’t think it was countered enough. I know you just want to explore his ideas but where I think he is so on the money it would help to have a little more contextualisation with examples of the harsh realities of life. Been a great listen.

Would be very interested to hear Jonny's opinions on religion and God. A lot of his thoughts strongly align with Christianity.

I almost decided to skip this episode as I was so disappointed with the original one you did with Jonny. I think he's great. A true legend of a man, but how he spoke on the 1st episode was far too zen for me. To say washing the dishes is as important as winning the world cup? Seriously? That's insulting to any athlete who has won the ultimate prize in thier sport.
Anyway, I decided to give this new episode 5 minutes, and I ended up listening to it all. You cannot argue he's an interesting character. But, I get the impression you're both so in awe of how he sees things so differently to other high performing athletes you have on, your in danger of alienating some, as it comes across that you totally agree and believe in everything Jonny says, which means you disagree with many other guests, as they've explained things very differently. Like I say, I think Jonny is great, but not really somebody who is going to inspire the next world champion athlete, due to his "yeah its all cool, just be yourself, dont push yourself or stress about anything" zen attitude. That recent AJ episode was the best for ages btw 👍

Read the comments on the original video, don't think I've ever seen such an outpouring of positivity and just general 'wow' sentiment as there is in those podcasts. It seems to me that JW achieved in spite of his attitude, and not because of it. He could have had all of the technical gifts, but his ability to put himself into flow and to perform at his best would have been far greater if he hadn't been so stressed and in such a negative space all of the time.
You're slicing his career too thinly, surely? Yes, he won the world cup, but his injuries sound like a nightmare, so did he reach his potential? Probably not, 14 injuries in a row, as a result of that same mental attitude that got him to where he is.
You say he won't inspire the next champion. Well what about the countless natural talents that have been lost, because of the flawed and regressive attitudes of 'win at all costs' that JW grew up in?

He was designed to win us the WC, It was just finding the right team mates with the right morals and dignity, it was a long process, geared up and done to perfection, they did what they all set out to day, and let JW do his thing.
