I have the Fitbit Ace 3 ,for my son.He loves it!
So sounds pretty much like an Inspire with the calorie counting removed, heart rate monitoring and blood oxygen levels removed, and notifications removed, but ability to add to a family account without lying about age added. My 9 year old has my old original Inspire (no heart rate) to use as a watch and pedometer, the only two features he has any interest in. And a strap that’s actually connected to the body of the device. Those kiddy straps where the Fitbit just pops into a little silicone pocket are just asking for it to be lost on the first day.
Do you have to have a phone paired to it for it to work

About the watch/tracker: no oxygen or heart rate monitor let alone ecg. On top of that no colors on a kids watch ? I think in 2021, it might cost a company more to not have those features rather having them.
Would like to buy something for our son. Was thinking about some GPS variants, as Garmin Bounce, but those tend to look really BIG on child's hand. So thinking about getting Fitbit Ace 3, as our son likes rockets / planets / space. But am right now kind of shocked, that Fitbit cancelled support for 11 EU countries - we can't even get to their website. Are there any similar alternatives to Ace 3?

I have the ace 2 blue ,green ,yellow and purple version

And tbh it's not that great
No colours, very limited features, simple layout but useable
If u get it as a gift then great u should use it, but if ur buying then i would recommend mi band 4 instead

Yes. Setup is a Nightmare! You have to have a kids Google account and it can't be on your phone if you are logged into an adult google

To anyone who has bought it, does the fitbit ace 3 have a wider screen compared to the ace 2? From watching other videos, I see that the ace 2 has a less smaller notch/border while the 3 has a bigger one, is that true? I really just can’t tell.

update: i got the watch and yes, it does. it has a variety of options for kids big to little

"Challenged him to play outside for 60 minutes" ?? Is it a challenge to play? Outside? That's like the best thing for a kid. And do we really want computers to look after our kids, if they sleep well? I want a smart watch for my kids that allows be to call them and see where they are. That's it. Is there a watch like that? No step counter, no games, no "rewards" no chat.
ace2 even has stuff ace 3 does not have
Fitbit turns into a completely rubbish business! Doesn’t event have the dignity to tell the customer that they may not be able to set up the new Ace 3 kids devices straight away after purchasing due to not being eligible to transfer their Fitbit account to Google account! Basically, you will end up buying a device but not able to use until your app tells you you are eligible to transfer your Fitbit account to Google account, and there is no even a time for when this will happen! Since when Fitbit acts like a spam?! Be mindful if you are considering buying Fitbit Ace 3 kid!
This comment should be highlighted. The kids access and set up is beyond a joke. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with. I'm hugely disappointed in the watches inability to connect to an adults phone. Will be sending the watch back in disgust.
My kid got this for a birthday. I started installation and then I figured that they require too much information for what it is, but also that it gives away important medical and social data to unknown users i.e companies. So, I have just concluded that my kid needs a watch only, and not a medical device which can send data about its health and habits, connections to family members etc… so I perceive this device more like surveillance gadget than a watch or pedometer. I am perfectly able to know and monitor myself how much activity my kid has and/or needs without a gadget that measures biometric data.
Setup was a complete NIGHTMARE
Don’t buy this near impossible to link up Can’t even see the time without link some how. Painful. After several attempts I am returning it.
Why would their not be a heart rate tracker? All parents would probably like to view their children's heart. How stupid
