JJk has so much more to worry about in it's domains, cursed energy techniques and it's applications. Look at the Sukuna vs Gojo fight. It's way more detailed and complicated then any of the fights in Sakamoto or heck any new gen anime. This is not to diminish Sakamto. Those two series deal with 2 different types of actions. It would like comparing John Wick to Star wars.

The opening is really good, i loved it. I really hope the anime is well done. As a mamga reader I'm not that satisfied with the trailers. It doesn't look bad, of course not, but it just looks ok and that's all. And everyone who has read the manga knows this series have a lot of potential in terms of action. The choreography of the fights is amazing and pretty creative, so with a really good animation it could've been breathtaking. But the trailers shows some important fights and it looks like some still frames with some "speed" effects to simulate hits. As I said, it doesn't look awful, but judging by the trailers released so far, it doesn't look as good as it could be either. I really hope they prove me wrong
The hate is not forced, Sakamoto Days has some of the best choreography and action I've seen in a Shonen jump series. It deserves better and this op didn't install any hope in me. The composition, colors and character models do not look good in my opinion. Hopefully it proves me wrong but so far this op leaves alot to be desired as it feels like a 2000's or 2010 op. Song is good tho
i think the entire point is that it feels like an old op, considering the story revolves around sakamoto being retired, hes been out of the business for around a decade so the op feeling a decade old is perfect imo

By classic shounen manga, the pacing of its story will be somewhat similar to One Piece, Naruto, Bleach. This means that it will take some time to reach its peak. However, the plot is very unique and interesting. Character design is also very joss. The current famous shounen (such as - JJK, Demon Slayer, Dandadan, MHA etc.) are full of action and the story is somewhat fast paced. But Sakamoto Days is completely different in these aspects. So, I would say to new gen shounen lovers who are very excited about Sakamoto Days, don't get too excited or don't have too much hope. Only then will you be able to enjoy it properly. Otherwise, the probability of being disappointed is very high.

Looking at the studio, it's kind of a mixed bag for animation fluidity. They are solid style wise (and the art director, YukikoMaruyama, reflects that). But the Director doesn't have a ton of experience as a director under his belt. I think the studio and staff look solid for the more laid back, slice of life side of Sakamoto Days, but I'm unsure for the fight sequences. We'll see. It's not all doom, far from it. But I don't think it's a sure thing either.

visually it's meh, but mangareaders forgot how creative fights, so even if animation just decent, creativity of fights will hook especially animeonly
The OP is great. The music. I rly don't wanna be a negative Nelly but this series has some of the coolest, most interesting and unique fights in manga rn and to see it have mediocre animation breaks my heart. It's not bad, it's just not what the series deserves.
Genuinely, just read the manga for better experience. The anime is 100% not gonna do justice at all, probably gonna be 6/10 adaptation.
