I have only one ride here ( Washington State, USA) that I absolutely want to participate in. I'm planning (hoping) to take my Stallion Bear for his first intro there, and my mare Kate for her second 25 mile. It's the same ride we did our first, so she should be familiar with the process lol. Fingers crossed all runs smoothly between now and September.

28 Days?! That is insane! Average here in America for salaried people (like myself) is about 10-15 days. 20 if you have been there a long time! I have worked with my company for 6 years now and get 10 days off a year...you are so lucky!! Also love seeing the planning process behind your competition schedule...I am definitely just a "yeah that show sounds good this weekend" kind of girl haha. Good luck this season!! Hope you crush it and make your goals.

I don't mind not winning the gift voucher, but I just want to say that I happened across your channel from the you tube suggestions and subscribed straight away. I love hearing about all your background stories 😅 and just love Roo, he's so cheeky but Tizzy is the dogs business, keep doing what you are and your subscribers will grow. I used to love riding but became seriously disabled twenty years ago so can't ride any more and live vicariously through you. Thanks Beth for everything xxxx

Have loved watching your positivity and authentic nature and you have inspired me and better still, inspired my daughters to be proud of the sport they love when their friends are doing other popular disciplines. My personal favourite video was when you guys crewed at the Cumbria challenge... the relationship between you, Dan and your brother bopping along in the van with crew dog had me chuckling! 😂

Hi, I found you after you did a calab with this Esme. Love your videos! I ride round Cannock chase too, so my favourite video was when you hacked around there. Thanks for the free calendar tip too.

I enjoy your channel because it has brought me such insight into endurance riding. You take care to show many aspects - the detail of horse care, prep for rides, the support crew, and the rides themselves. Your humour with Dan is great and the videos are so gentle (great music!). Your pragmatic tips are so helpful and you show the downs and the ups. Love it when you collaborate too - but its all soo good! This one was great and I will use it for non-equestrian stuff!

I really hope this season you get your Plan A. I feel like you had such a rough time these last 2 years with injured ponies.
My favourite thing in the vlogs is the pony stuff, especially seeing their personalities, Sassy Tissy, Sweet Roo and the split personality that is Quantas sweet and goofy/total idiot.

I found you just by watching some endurance vlogs and my favourite UA-cam video is either this one as I never thought about planning ahead. But I can’t choose just one video but I would love to see you get selected for the Welsh team and if you do I would love a UA-cam video about your time and how it felt to accomplish your main goal.
Also I loved seeing you at red dragon that was my highlight of 2021
And I hope to see you again next year I hope you have a great season in 2022

Happy new year to you and Dan and Tizzy and Roo and looking forward to 2022 season and following you all for your journey and the reason I asked you for the vlog about etiquette etc is because I am looking to get back into horses in the near future and would like to do sponsored rides endurance or and pleasure rides as I know they are in your head competition’s but in reality are just like going on a big long distance hack with a lot of other horses and riders even though you don’t see them much out on course also a bit like when you go hound exercising except without the jumps and hounds even though you might see the odd dog when your out and the scenery on some rides are amazing plus it gets you and your horse to new venues and meet new people so any vlogs that help and give little nuggets of information as you have done endurance for a long time would be useful even just for taking the horses hacking away from home etc so thank you and Dan and of course your ponies and side note how is Qantas doing with his injury recovery and rehab etc

You are my favourite vlogger Beth! Love how you treat your horses! You had some horse trouble (injuries) but you kept your head up and stayed positive.
You gave me motivation! Thank you for that.
Let 2022 be a good horsey year for you!
    Happy new year!!

I’m very excited to see how 2022 goes for you. Your video just popped up on my UA-cam one day and it’s one of my favourites. I love seeing a nice rounded view of horse ownership and endurance riding. Good luck for 2022 and I look forward to the vlogs.

Hi Beth, I found you by complete chance and I've been hooked ever since. Thank you for all your videos, my favourites have been the behind the scenes training ones. Best wishes for 2022 and I hope all your dreams come true. xx

Great timing for the planning of 2022! Really enjoyed your vlog over the last year, made our entry level year a lot easier. I love that you post the good and not so good days as things don’t always go to plan with horses.
    Enjoy 2022!

Came across your vlog about endurance tack as I was trying to figure out if it endurance was for me in the spring.
After having binge watched the rest og your videos, I was so motivated to give it a go that pony and I are going to be doing our first pleasure ride in May! Super exited and thank you!
I like to see how you plan your training, but think my favourite would be Roo´s first Novice ride or the Crew Take over. But also enjoy seeing Tissy out and about.

Best of luck in 2022! You and Roo will kick some butt next year! You also need to plan for your annual pleasure ride with Pria :)
My goal for 2022: Get an arabian!! I am actively looking and if I could afford to import Qantas to the US, I so would ;)

Fellow nerd here, my Type A loved this! I do distance running races myself, so it was fascinating to see how similar the planning is for endurance rides. I would love to see any training you do that you don't even think about, like ground manners, desensitization, etc. As well as how you build up training for a race. My weanling is recovered from hock surgery, and I can't wait to lay a solid foundation for my endurance dreams. Best wishes in 2022, can't wait to see all your plans come to fruition! (Positive thinking! 😆)

Wish you all the best for 2022 Beth, I hope you achieve all your goals! Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey. I love your channel! Even though I am a dressage rider I love to hear your thoughts around plans and routines for training and competition. I am not a UK resident, so not elegible for the draw, but good luck to all of you who are.

This was so helpful, I'm starting my first full season this year and I have a lot to learn but this actually really made me think how I can plan everything to fit with school as I have exams this year as well. Definitely going to find my self a calender!

I love your channel I found it through This Esme.
I also have a question are there any good books for endurance riding that you would recommend?

    • @bethendurance
      @bethendurance  2 роки тому +1

I don't know of any up to date endurance books but there's an old one by Marcy Pavord, maybe caked go the distance bit I'm not sure 🤔
