You know I'm not even mad about Ayoyama reveal but what pisses me of is Hori emphasized so much on Deku being in the wrong for leaving UA and doing his all to keep everyone safe while putting 1A and overrated Ochako on pedestal for bringing Deku back to the 'safest place' and painting them as in the right but now with the traitor reveal class A don't even question their own choices ?. They don't have a inner conflict on their decisions Not to mention the spies in UA.
Toru being the traitor was predictable, but it would've been fine if the reveal happened alot sooner, too much time has passed for anyone to even care at this point.
Toru literally isn’t in any important events involving the arcs. Even the USJ, the incident that the entire class was forcefully involved in, she was no where to be seen, same with the attack on the training camp. She does nothing but act like the cheerful, upbeat, fan service girl and contributes basically nothing at all to the plot. The U.A. Traitor is probably the most significance she’s gonna have before she’s completely kicked out of the story.

I agree that Denki being the traitor would be more interesting and make sense, but I had this thought that the league was tracking Denki through his electricity, since its established he had very little control over his power and could have he’d leave some trail behind him. Like all we’d need is someone with a lightning rod quirk, or something. But i also like the idea of him just being evil. Either way, the Toru reveal was lazy and the traitor thing really didn’t have be finished, especially since he forgot about it for the longest time.

I don't think he ever forgot, and actually said that so that people would discredit the idea, that way when he finally revealed it, people's minds would be blown. True, I was also hoping for Denki since we know him well enough to get attached to his character but also not enough where he is absolutely mysterious otherwise. Also Denki I have read and watched enough fanfics and videos to know that villain Denki would be absolutely amazing, deadly, and look awesome.

I have seen so many people just trashing MHA because of her reveal. I can think it would be very cool to see someone with such a quirk. I have seen a video that covers her motivation of wanting to finally be noticed in a society where flashy quirks are all that is important. Even compared to Shinzo and Kirishima her quirk does not seem to help enhance her abilities besides stealth. Seeing her as the traitor would help her finally go threw growth or insanity. People should think about how difficult it can be for a writer. Invisible Girl as the traitor is “more predictable” than others because that was probably the original plan. He might have been wanting to do it from the beginning and the fans have been trying to force him into choosing another character by ranting against her. Constructive criticism is always appreciated but the way some people react is just plain rude. In no way am I trying to hurt others feelings or start some fights but all I ask is that everyone should be open minded about the writer’s decisions. The traitor I wanted was Kaminari or Momo but just because it was not them does not mean I should just talk trash about MHA out of anger. Even if you may not agree or be disappointed please show respect and kindness to everyone that is happy about it. Im a manga writer an i get what youre saying BUT in mha quirks like being invisible are highly valuable in both the hero society and villain world. IF her reason for being an agent for afo is because of "notice me senpai" then not only does that take any built up suspense that was created when we found out she was the traitor but it just proves the point of the vids that afo is a lame villain an that kohei really is losing interest in the story. Now what I WOULDVE done is have invisible girl pull up with the villains an reveal her motives that way after she did some stuff an created a villain invasion arc or something. But all i can say is, lets see what happens in the next chapter
The main problem for me is that we spend so little time with the students of 1A besides the main five (you know who I'm talking about). It kinda feels like placing over 10 students made things hard to balance character development wise. There are way to many characters that I have to care about and plot points that are mentioned but not returned to. which caused me to forget a lot of them. By this point once we got to the reveal all I was thinking was "oh yeah that was a thing." Kinda feels like the author forgot too. NGL
While the reveal is very predictable, I don’t think it’s fair to put all the blame on Horikoshi. Man’s shown on multiple instances that he just wants to end the series, but like always with shonen jump, these editors just keep pulling the strings. They’ve been pushing the series to go on longer, and now I bet they’re either rushing Horikoshi to completion, or he’s just getting tired of their shit.

I feel like the more predictable MHA is becoming shows the more Horikoshi wants to end his series. He said it himself that he’s been planning to end it soon but now is not so sure. I think its gonna be a whole nother DBZ situation. It was supposed to end on Namek. Goku gets Super Sayian, Frieza is dead, Vegeta comes to terms with Goku being their people's saviour etc. But no, they realized that it was insanely popular and making money, so they made Akira Toryama (the author) extend the show. If all went according to plan, Cell, Majin Buu, Beruus, Golden Frieza, Zamasu, Jiren, Moro, Granolah wouldn't be a thing.
If yall don't see how making the invisible girl the traitor is a problem, that makes you part of the problem with the creator of this anime, but let me help yall out. 1. She has no tides with anybody important from the anime, which makes her betrayal stale asf, it's not interesting and is boring, the fact that we can't see her is just the icing on the cake. 2. I like Toru, I’m glad that she’s gonna get a big role. Though I don’t care for the traitor subplot since it hasn’t been mentioned in such a long time, plus it didn’t have an amazing build up. I’m just happy she’s getting a bit of spot light( pun intended ), we still don’t know if she is even the traitor
I mean, there was a lot of subtle build up from the begining. She was supposedly with todoroki durring the us invasion, but he didnt notice her (which is strange given its todoroki), shes the one who reccomended they go to the mall before deku was confronted by shigiraki, she was missing right before the summer camp invasion while everyone else is asleep, and she mysteriously disappears for a pannel or two durring the raid arc right before the heros raid the villains. Horikoshi tends to hide a lot of stuff in the background of scenes. You can even see little character arcs and daily activities in the backgrounds of some pages.
Same Even though I don't give two fucks about the characters in mha but any amount of development that gives its characters time to shine is a plus in my book regardless.
I don't think that Hagakure being the traitor is a bad choice, I think that making her the spy despite being the most obvious choice was the point, besause a lot of readers ignored her and tought of lots of other characters without thinking that the answer sometimes is the simplest. She passed unnoticed because that's what a spy does, she tries not to get noticed so she doesn't get suspicious. Maybe this is a great opportunity for her character development to happen, maybe we will see what her quirk really is, because her quirk is not just being invisible, Horikoshi in her character sheet in volume 2 said that he "wanted to explain her quirk in detail in the future but that the right occasion had yet to come" hinting that there's more than simple invisibility and in the manga her quirk hasn't been explained yet and we are at chapter 335... And most of all, Horikoshi didn't choose to make her the spy in the last times, there's foresadowing about her being the traitor way back since chapter 12, there are some istances that hint that Hagakure might be the traitor even before the traitor theme was even introduced, this video explains in detail a lot of those hints: ua-cam.com/video/Opp8AoDsPWA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Joy_BoyTheories so this isn't a last time decision, that's something that Horikoshi planned since the beginning

So Midoriya is just gonna punch Shigaraki very hard, I hope they handle it well after stroking Shigaraki this much in this arc. Yeah, people hype up Dabi alot in the west and he is popular along with Shigaraki and Toga because they are well written with interesting backstories and designs. I don't get the hype to be honest. Dabi has been really bold ever since the reveal and since his flames are hotter I guess he thinks he can win against Endeavor. He likes to talk way too much shit for a character that can't fight for too long and run away or catch people off guard. At least Shigaraki will fight head up.

You need to be able to see her first which be difficult for 2 very simple reasons 1) She's invisible 2) She can refact light thus creating a blinding flash of light blinding everyone nearby Only Deku and Shoji have any chance of fighting her because of there Sensory Quirks

I don’t think its the reveal thats you know, predictable, its what horikoshi decides to do after this. I mean cmon, kind of obvious and predictable. Safe to say most of us are disappointed in a way that it felt underwhelming. But if horikoshi decides to do something good with this SETUP, then im happy.
Actually, if you think about it, this is the only applicable time for her reveal. Remember, ONLY All for One knew about this (based on his tone when talking to Dabi and Shigaraki’s reaction). When was the traitor theory brought up in-universe? After the Camp arc, which happened right before All for One’s defeat at Kamino Ward. From there, it can be assumed that Hagakure just kinda sat at UA since the big potato man was in prison and the dorm situation prevented her from revealing herself to the rest of the League of Villians (if she even wanted to in the first place). The only good time to bring her reveal from there is AFTER All for One breaks out and he has someone to give the information to (and as you can see, the Tartarus riot didn’t happen too long ago). I can understand the reveal not pleasing some people, but this is an applicable explanation for how late it is.
Except that would create a whole load of plotholes when you go back and actually pay attention to the small details like Toru not being present during the Class Rep vote or during the Media Break in, also Denki knew about the plan to rescue Bakugoh when AFO was none the wiser so there's that as well. I think this reveal is super lazy. Not predictable. I hate when people say "of course it's her, she's invisible." You think in a super human society where Quirks have been common for generations now, no one has built technology to deter invisible people from stealing or skulking around where they shouldn't be? Like you really think she's chilling in the back of the staff meetings and no one knows she's there? UA has fortified walls in season 1. I am sure they take precautions to make sure no one is where they should be, especially when their Quirk is invisibility. Her being in UA's hero course also makes no sense. They go through all this trouble talking about how shinso is in general studies for the lazy entrance exam's methods (don't get me started on how stupid it is that the number 1 hero school only has ONE type of exam that caters to specific Quirks), but how TF did she take down any of those robots? She's a regular girl minus being invisible. No one questions this? Kaminari would have been a good pick because you literally see him do the Meta Liberation Army L signal on his forehead in the Manga AND the anime when Mt. Lady is talking to them about how to interview in season 5. What the hell was that supposed to mean?!?! Even the idea that AFO gave Aoyama his Quirk and that's why it doesn't suit his body like Deku with OFA is a better story than this. The only think I can hope for is that Hori doesn't go the route the fans have with her reasoning being "Well she's invisible. Duh." I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully he gives her a good reasoning. Also I don't think he ever forgot the storyline, I think he said that so people would forget about it and the reveal would be a bwahhh moment. Which it wasn't. @IN REGENERATIONE To be fair, Horikoshi has turned multiple plot points that people really didn't care about into big things. An example is the Dabi reveal itself. Besides, I've seen more people hate on Horikoshi's writing much more than I've seen people praise them. People get hyped about the things they like, that's understandable. Also, you can't exactly claim this reveal as underwhelming when we've only yet been introduced to it.

What's wrong with it being predictable? It makes the most sense that someone who is invisible a traitor. It's not lazy writing, it's just a little something called common sense. Her backstory is so mysterious, showed multiple red flags in the animated seasons already, etc. Secondly, AFO did mention he has a lot of friends (unlike the haters here) so Toru may be not the *only* traitor. But unlike that, predictability often comes with twists and as I said before there are possibilities such as Toru not being the only traitor or just a distraction.

Toru literally isn’t in any important events involving the arcs. Even the USJ, the incident that the entire class was forcefully involved in, she was no where to be seen, same with the attack on the training camp. She does nothing but act like the cheerful, upbeat, fan service girl and contributes basically nothing at all to the plot. The U.A. Traitor is probably the most significance she’s gonna have before she’s completely kicked out of the story.

I agree that Denki being the traitor would be more interesting and make sense, but I had this thought that the league was tracking Denki through his electricity, since its established he had very little control over his power and could have he’d leave some trail behind him. Like all we’d need is someone with a lightning rod quirk, or something. But i also like the idea of him just being evil. Either way, the Toru reveal was lazy and the traitor thing really didn’t have be finished, especially since he forgot about it for the longest time.

I have seen so many people just trashing MHA because of her reveal. I can think it would be very cool to see someone with such a quirk. I have seen a video that covers her motivation of wanting to finally be noticed in a society where flashy quirks are all that is important. Even compared to Shinzo and Kirishima her quirk does not seem to help enhance her abilities besides stealth. Seeing her as the traitor would help her finally go threw growth or insanity. People should think about how difficult it can be for a writer. Invisible Girl as the traitor is “more predictable” than others because that was probably the original plan. He might have been wanting to do it from the beginning and the fans have been trying to force him into choosing another character by ranting against her. Constructive criticism is always appreciated but the way some people react is just plain rude. In no way am I trying to hurt others feelings or start some fights but all I ask is that everyone should be open minded about the writer’s decisions. The traitor I wanted was Kaminari or Momo but just because it was not them does not mean I should just talk trash about MHA out of anger. Even if you may not agree or be disappointed please show respect and kindness to everyone that is happy about it. I actually like this great idea my only problem with my hero is the pacing of the story and seems to be a bit rushed.
Im a manga writer an i get what youre saying BUT in mha quirks like being invisible are highly valuable in both the hero society and villain world. IF her reason for being an agent for afo is because of "notice me senpai" then not only does that take any built up suspense that was created when we found out she was the traitor but it just proves the point of the vids that afo is a lame villain an that kohei really is losing interest in the story. Now what I WOULDVE done is have invisible girl pull up with the villains an reveal her motives that way after she did some stuff an created a villain invasion arc or something. But all i can say is, lets see what happens in the next chapter
The main problem for me is that we spend so little time with the students of 1A besides the main five (you know who I'm talking about). It kinda feels like placing over 10 students made things hard to balance character development wise. There are way to many characters that I have to care about and plot points that are mentioned but not returned to. which caused me to forget a lot of them. By this point once we got to the reveal all I was thinking was "oh yeah that was a thing." Kinda feels like the author forgot too. NGL

I feel like the more predictable MHA is becoming shows the more Horikoshi wants to end his series. He said it himself that he’s been planning to end it soon but now is not so sure. I still stick around to watch and read my hero Academia to see its journey and find out if it’s conclusion will be good or bad.
I think its gonna be a whole nother DBZ situation. It was supposed to end on Namek. Goku gets Super Sayian, Frieza is dead, Vegeta comes to terms with Goku being their people's saviour etc. But no, they realized that it was insanely popular and making money, so they made Akira Toryama (the author) extend the show. If all went according to plan, Cell, Majin Buu, Beruus, Golden Frieza, Zamasu, Jiren, Moro, Granolah wouldn't be a thing.
If yall don't see how making the invisible girl the traitor is a problem, that makes you part of the problem with the creator of this anime, but let me help yall out.
1. She has no tides with anybody important from the anime, which makes her betrayal stale asf, it's not interesting and is boring, the fact that we can't see her is just the icing on the cake.
2. You know how creative it is to make someone invisible a bad person? Not creative at all example " I only did bad things to people because they couldn't see me the real me which made me upset" like get that tf outta here.

I mean, there was a lot of subtle build up from the begining. She was supposedly with todoroki durring the us invasion, but he didnt notice her (which is strange given its todoroki), shes the one who reccomended they go to the mall before deku was confronted by shigiraki, she was missing right before the summer camp invasion while everyone else is asleep, and she mysteriously disappears for a pannel or two durring the raid arc right before the heros raid the villains. Horikoshi tends to hide a lot of stuff in the background of scenes. You can even see little character arcs and daily activities in the backgrounds of some pages.
Same Even though I don't give two fucks about the characters in mha but any amount of development that gives its characters time to shine is a plus in my book regardless.

I don't think that Hagakure being the traitor is a bad choice, I think that making her the spy despite being the most obvious choice was the point, besause a lot of readers ignored her and tought of lots of other characters without thinking that the answer sometimes is the simplest. She passed unnoticed because that's what a spy does, she tries not to get noticed so she doesn't get suspicious. Maybe this is a great opportunity for her character development to happen, maybe we will see what her quirk really is, because her quirk is not just being invisible, Horikoshi in her character sheet in volume 2 said that he "wanted to explain her quirk in detail in the future but that the right occasion had yet to come" hinting that there's more than simple invisibility and in the manga her quirk hasn't been explained yet and we are at chapter 335...
And most of all, Horikoshi didn't choose to make her the spy in the last times, there's foresadowing about her being the traitor way back since chapter 12, there are some istances that hint that Hagakure might be the traitor even before the traitor theme was even introduced, this video explains in detail a lot of those hints: ua-cam.com/video/Opp8AoDsPWA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Joy_BoyTheories

Yeah, people hype up Dabi alot in the west and he is popular along with Shigaraki and Toga because they are well written with interesting backstories and designs. I don't get the hype to be honest.
Dabi has been really bold ever since the reveal and since his flames are hotter I guess he thinks he can win against Endeavor. He likes to talk way too much shit for a character that can't fight for too long and run away or catch people off guard. At least Shigaraki will fight head up.

Actually, if you think about it, this is the only applicable time for her reveal. Remember, ONLY All for One knew about this (based on his tone when talking to Dabi and Shigaraki’s reaction). When was the traitor theory brought up in-universe? After the Camp arc, which happened right before All for One’s defeat at Kamino Ward. From there, it can be assumed that Hagakure just kinda sat at UA since the big potato man was in prison and the dorm situation prevented her from revealing herself to the rest of the League of Villians (if she even wanted to in the first place). The only good time to bring her reveal from there is AFTER All for One breaks out and he has someone to give the information to (and as you can see, the Tartarus riot didn’t happen too long ago).
I can understand the reveal not pleasing some people, but this is an applicable explanation for how late it is.

I think this reveal is super lazy. Not predictable. I hate when people say "of course it's her, she's invisible." You think in a super human society where Quirks have been common for generations now, no one has built technology to deter invisible people from stealing or skulking around where they shouldn't be? Like you really think she's chilling in the back of the staff meetings and no one knows she's there? UA has fortified walls in season 1. I am sure they take precautions to make sure no one is where they should be, especially when their Quirk is invisibility.
Her being in UA's hero course also makes no sense. They go through all this trouble talking about how shinso is in general studies for the lazy entrance exam's methods (don't get me started on how stupid it is that the number 1 hero school only has ONE type of exam that caters to specific Quirks), but how TF did she take down any of those robots? She's a regular girl minus being invisible. No one questions this?
Kaminari would have been a good pick because you literally see him do the Meta Liberation Army L signal on his forehead in the Manga AND the anime when Mt. Lady is talking to them about how to interview in season 5. What the hell was that supposed to mean?!?!
Even the idea that AFO gave Aoyama his Quirk and that's why it doesn't suit his body like Deku with OFA is a better story than this.
The only think I can hope for is that Hori doesn't go the route the fans have with her reasoning being "Well she's invisible. Duh." I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully he gives her a good reasoning.
Also I don't think he ever forgot the storyline, I think he said that so people would forget about it and the reveal would be a bwahhh moment. Which it wasn't.

@IN REGENERATIONE To be fair, Horikoshi has turned multiple plot points that people really didn't care about into big things. An example is the Dabi reveal itself. Besides, I've seen more people hate on Horikoshi's writing much more than I've seen people praise them. People get hyped about the things they like, that's understandable. Also, you can't exactly claim this reveal as underwhelming when we've only yet been introduced to it.

What's wrong with it being predictable? It makes the most sense that someone who is invisible a traitor. It's not lazy writing, it's just a little something called common sense. Her backstory is so mysterious, showed multiple red flags in the animated seasons already, etc. Secondly, AFO did mention he has a lot of friends (unlike the haters here) so Toru may be not the *only* traitor. These chapters were meant to balance out the powers of the protags and antags so the final fighting can start. What did you want? AFO to just say "fuck those years of planning, imma gtfo and fight deku alone"? What's keeping u from dropping thes- looks like someone didn't read the last few chapters.
