I just woke up to your video, and I miss home even more, I miss eating sugarcane, my teeth can’t allow me, those bananas is all I need to enjoy my day. Happy Valentine‘s Day Jael ❤️🇩🇪
Hi Jael thanks for the video you can put smear your hands with cooking oil before you peel the bananas it will help in minimising the sticking of the sap on your hands watching from Uganda
Growing up in Jamaica I never like the taste of boil banana. Your recipe looks nice, I will try it. Thanks Jael and continue living your lovely country life ❤
Great video Jael… Love the nature and the sound of the running river!! ❤️❤️ You are truly blessed. For the matoke, I add coconut milk/cream into the water to make it creamy. So yummy
Speaking of rivers flowing through villages, is that also where the young men take the cattle to drink and whilst there, court the young women who have come to fetch water for domestic use?😂😂😂 I have read many an African tale of young men courting young women at the river! 🤣🤣🤣
Mambo jael?hebu next time after umekaranga kitunguu na nyanya, add your water for soup n let it boil first then put in your bananas, zitatokea zikiwa Soo soft.😊
Jael, my greatest fear is that with technology, paper books will become obsolete. I love, love to read. I read at least 4 books a month. I don’t like listening to books, I like to hold a real book in my hands.
Ww dont cook our bananas we either lick or use the for smoothies. It is plantains that we cook. We can fry, make potage out of them, roast them n eat them with stew. Wow! I have learnt a new one today
You can try some chips, add oil and spices and bake, saw that recently on a youtube video and it looked tasty. The guy also placed them in hot water first for a few minutes making them easier to peel. Also with the ripe ones you can make banana cake or bread. It is quite simple and tasty.
Your life looks like a dream....cause most of us would love a vacation in such a serene environment❤. Full on living sounds intimidating 😅...the way you operate with ease! I stan 🙌🏽
This reminds me of summers in Eleuthera, The Bahamas- only our February is always cold. Village life the same for us. Love how you made the bananas; I have never tried that. Keep up the beautiful videos. Blessings from The Bahamas.
Oh, this is yet another reminder I need to get some sugarcane planted! I keep saying I'll get some to plant but I still haven't done it and seeing you enjoying a piece made me so jealous 🤣 Your property looks so good, as always. And I need to try that green banana recipe. Onions, tomatoes, salt and what was the other seasoning you added before putting the water? I'd love to know... We have so many bananas on our property. Sending you cool tropical breezes from big island Hawai'i! 🌈🌬️ Aloha, David
Hello David, Yes,you should have sugarcane in your garden. The juice mixed with ginger is so good. I added curry powder. Thank you and have a happy valentines Day
Joal !! Please what you can also do to keep you away from bordom ..is to organize lunch time picnic in the village for the locals or get the local children to come to you for lunch and teach them english or custom traditions ..be more welcoming to the locals to your home 🌹
Our gate is wide open for the locals. The children here all learn English in school. Visitors are always here, I just don't have to film people, they will be scared. In the traditional African society, afternoons were for village gatherings, things have since changed and everyone is busy trying to better their lives. Otherwise, we are one big, loving community. Thanks, darling. Blessings.

Good morning jael from the UK try coating bananas in season flour and fry beautiful with fried chicken you have a happy life god bless you and your family 😊
Jael, enjoy that sun, my dear. I am on a very high dosage of vitamin D, especially in wintertime like now. Having been born in a tropical country, I am more impacted by this deficiency during winter time.
My dear, you know how to utilise nature spaces., living a healthy life besides food and exercises is also stepping out to enjoy the fresh air, as birds sing, butterflies fly, cows graze.....and you are reading a book similar to mine. Enjoy❤
There is a faster way to peeling bananas. You can pierce the skin along the full length of the banana; then you peel back the skin with your hands and the whole skin will be removed in one piece. To avoid the sticky stains you can either remove the peel while submerged in water or coat your hands with vegetable oil.
Yes,I did put some. One of my subscribers here shared a very helpful tip for clearing the sticky bits. Wash in warm soapy water. It's comes off so effortlessly
I was to visit a certain hot spring in Kendu-Bay during December Holiday but didn't find enough time. May be next time. I was also surprised that you guys don't use fertilizer to plant. Edit is 👌
Hi Jael, thanks for walking me in your village 😅 What a beautiful nature you got there, I loved the river and it’s sound it is so relaxing and peaceful. Thank you so much for your Reply on my last Comment, I read it earlier. If you're dealing with "Boredom" in the Village, let me know what Topic you want to see some Writing on. I will try my very best to write that for you, as best as I can. I will try my very best to "entertain" you with my "Literary" Skills. By the Way. Your Homestead is as Beautiful as the first Moment I saw it in a previous Video. Aswell as that. When I previously watched this Video above today, your Sugar Cane Story and the Green Bananas reminded me so much of the Caribbean. As soon as you dumped them in the Pot, I knew what was going to happen to those Bananas.😂 I've never seen them cooked like that before though. They look very "Wholesome". While I was typing this Comment for you, I had the Video playing again and I was listening to it. As soon as I heard the sound of Frying, I didn't have to see what was going because I knew what was going on. The Sound of your Pot Frying those Onions and everything was very "Therapeutic", just like your "River Sound" Video I spoke to you about couple Years ago. Concerning the "Cow Issue" you mentioned in this Video, you can try bringing some Milk with you when you next go out. The Smell and Taste of the Milk, should hopefully help you relax if you see the Cows next Time. This is my Opinion. The Good that comes out of Cows, can help with the Bad Things that happen in this World. Hopefully my Statement helps. Thank you so much Jael for posting this Video. It was very "Aesthetic".
It's now that I realise how long you've been here. I remember you asking to use the river sound. I guess we were at around 1k subscribers. Thank you so much for sticking around. I love to read love stories with happy endings. (If you process to write that piece for me)
