This is a funny clip from a brilliant show. It is a great parody of dysfunctional organizations, sort of like "The Office" but funny and decades earlier. The Haney, Kimball, Ziffle characters were great comedians to the well played Oliver, Drucker, Arnold straight men.
@@mas5867 The brilliance of "The Office" is instead of being funny like a normal comedy it is punishment and the joke is on the viewer for watching. Turns out unlike us, a lot people enjoy the punishment including my wife. It has to be challenging to make a product so bad it causes people like it.
"If you're donating it, Haney, it shouldn't cost us anything. You're right, Sam, it shouldn't - but it will." Perhaps my favorite exchange in a series with nothing but incredible exchanges.
That Hank Kimball was a character, well, maybe not a character, But I would say he was funny, wait a minute, I just did say that. All I know is that he really knew how to make me laugh. Well, thats not ALL I know.

On the railroad, three "bwoops" meant "When standing, back up. When running, stop at next passenger station." Of course, the C&FW crews running the Cannonball probably never actually passed a Rules Examination.
I honestly think this was some of the truly funniest dialogue ever written for TV. It rivals some of those classic movie routines by people like Abbott and Costello.
How come we only see Arnold in closeup, but he’s nowhere to be found on all the wide angle shots? Also, who are the two extras on the far left and right?
Uncle Joe Carson from the shady rest hotel was the best fire chief ! Pickslee can't compare with hooterville ! ! Like mount pilot and mayberry . You just can't beat small town living, right Oliver ?

Yeah, there was a range for sure. Oh, if they would have had time to redo some of the scenes before airing. At least half of Kimball's appearances hurt the show.
@@mas5867I watched it when it first aired - and multiple times since. Green Acres and the Addams Family (original series) are my two favorite sitcoms and the only ones I actually go back to on occasion. The absurdist writing is wonderful. I'll agree that not all the Green Acres writing succeeded, but when it did it was second to none.

Given her size, I'd say Arnold is actually a gilt.
I am actually a farmer.
I agree. I'm glad it was downloaded
I know The Office got good reviews, but it is awful. TV choices during its run must have been few and far between.

Great show and love the fire dept episodes
They sound like our present day federal government don't they? The writers and cast were ahead of their time.
No. They were too smart
I used to count how many times Oliver was interrupted in an episode. It was 6 times in this 3 minute clip. That's a pretty good pace.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I always notice how he's cut off too it's too funny
"Oh fer"...
The surprise and astonishment by Eddie Albert each time again….
Back when Hollywood put out classics unlike todays trash..
AMEN!!
Oh boy. Said it all!
Green acres is 2 funny n recommended. Lol. God bless n thanku.🗽😇😁
Did anyone notice how Mr. Kimball kept avoiding paying Arnold his 40 cents🤣🤣
His legal counsel was Mr. Haney whose motto was "never honor any promise or debt when you don't have to."
Msr111 I love it. Too funny🤣🤣🤣
To put 40¢ in perspective with money then and now, it would be $4 - 5 in today's money.
Probably cuz he forgot in his fog...
watch this show on ME TV I am not advertising. Grew up with this show and it still kills me to death laughing !!!
Kimball was just NUTZ AND THE FUNNYIST
Love it💕💕💕💕
What a great show!! LOL

What I liked of Green acres was episodes with petticoat junction uncle joe trying to figure mr. Douglas out pixley hooterville cranwell corners
THREE BOOPS ON THE WHISTLE OF THE CANNONBALL.....HAHAHAHAHA Somebody was definitely putting LSD into Hooterville's water supply.
lmao! 😁

Heh -- Eustace! Never knew Haney's first name before!
It's Eustace sometimes and Charlton other times.

"Where's my forty cents Mr Kimball?"---Arnold Ziffel 1966

I worked for the railroad as a freight train conductor for several years...and I hated the yearly rules examinations we had to take, lol.
I need a volunteer to go out and get himself lost🤣🤣🤣 Mr. Douglas tomorrow night at 8 o'clock you go out and get yourself lost🤣🤣🤣
That meeting would have been over a lot sooner if they just paid Arnold his 40 cents!
The name brand tag has been removed from the bib of Fred Ziffel's overalls - no free advertising for anyone here!
Eustace Haney... Could that first name actually be spelled "Eustis" as in Fort Eustis military base in Virginia?
Did I hear right, was Haney's first name "Useless?"

I know.

How come we only see Arnold in closeup, but he’s nowhere to be found on all the wide angle shots?
Also, who are the two extras on the far left and right?
He is sitting in the middle on the wide angel shots. At least, he is in the middle at 0:33 into the video.
What we have here is a failure to communicate.
The two extras were understudies for two of the show's main characters who couldn't attend the meeting: Lisa Douglas and Doris Ziffel.
Eustace Haney? First time I heard that
His full character name was Eustace Charlatan Haney.
Eustace is Haneys first name?
Buttram claimed he based his character on Col. Tom Parker, whom he met pre Elvis.
In this scene Mr. Douglas is the only one who has taken off his hat.
