Beautiful setup Andrew! That stroke limiter is key, especially with 23 hp and 2.5 seconds!!! Let me know when you’re back from vacation and can modify the length +10” for mine.
Wow, Andrew awesome set up. Why would anyone splitting wood want a horizontal splitter ever again. You got it tuned in just right. Love the 24 ft conveyor at the end. TY for sharing & have a great time at the show in NY.
Andrew, looks like 👍 you can get away from the desk because you have faith in your employees to be able to break up the day with a little outside time so you can reset yourself 😮😊❤
The AXIS splitter is an awesome machine and easily taken into the woods also. You definitely have a great reliable machine Andrew. Thanks for sharing with us hope you do well at all the shows this fall. Stay safe and keep up the great products. Fred.
I use my STK24 in the opposite way. With the extra long sorting tray, whatever is not bundle wood goes up the conveyor and into a bag and the bundle wood goes into the tote behind me. Works great! See you in Boonville
Great video. The way you had it set, it was around 2.25 seconds cycle time. Nice. I cut up 180 rounds the other day from 10” and under logs. With my old homemade splitter set up I figure it will take me 3 to 4 hours to split them. With your machine. 30 minutes. 👍🏻. Would be nice to have one of those. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Now that is a nice setup! Having some experience with a vertical I like it without the attached conveyor. Stand alone conveyor gives you more options. I’m sure the new owner is gonna put that setup to the test! He can break anything😂 Great improvements on the Axis Andrew👍🏻👍🏻
No don't spin it cut the wings out so you can set 2 on each side with wings cut to fit. You need a hopper feeding where the log lif is like the Rex splitter.
Here is an idea for a possible new product for that I have seen a few times but Allen Family firewood recently got a demonstration unit. It is a hopper/conveyor where you can dump buckets full of bucked rounds with a tractor/skidsteer or whatever and use that conveyor to feed them onto the worksurface of a vertical or other splitter. This thing eliminates the need for a loglift and reduces the amount of handling of rounds of firewood. I am not sure if there would be enough demand to justify developing such a machine. You will have to check that yourself. It is kind of a niche product for those that produce a lot of firewood but can't justify a processor.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters The Rex 600x is similar to what we are talking about but in a different orientation for splitting. ua-cam.com/video/SInjFJqx55k/v-deo.htmlsi=o0y36HAfTEhQL8mX
Hey Andrew @Eastonmade Wood Splitters , Just ordered my new Axis last Monday and was wondering how well it road tows? I'll have an opportunity to do some work 3 or 4 hours from my normal woodyard setup and trying to figure if I'll need to haul the wood in loads to the Axis or whether I can tow it easily!
Does Eastonmade offer a radial stacking conveyor? Can the Axis be configured with the log lift on the left side of the machine? This would allow the dual Axis setup with the center conveyor to work better.
The attached conveyor is right at 7'. You can run it on a bit more of an incline, but it is a little more difficult. I don't have my dump trailer here to measure right now, but i think its the same. Here's a video we did a couple of years ago ua-cam.com/video/EpDyi7aycHE/v-deo.html
My question is why have you not built a Hopper to feed the rounds to the splitting table. If you had a hopper that you could load up with the bucket and fill the hopper that can hold a lot of rounds you can feed the rounds to you and just toss a hand over grab it slide it under the splitter. Watch this video and watch how many times you make the trip to pick a round up. Also some people that are older it would be a lot better for them using a Hopper feeder to feed the rounds to them as they split.
@@AllenFamilyFirewood I love splitting wood by hand but lets be honest no matter how much you love something there is always such a thing as to much. Grabbing a log lifting it up bringing it to the splitting station split repeat after a while you wish things would change. Watching him pick a log and dragging it over then lifting it to pile made me want a beer watching him. Hey even people that split wood like to be spoiled too lmao.
I have a really good friend on mine that has been known to test equipment under real word conditions.....When i get some feedback from him I may be able to do something. Its just really difficult to build something like that a it be functional, rugged enough to last and cost effective to the point that someone would purchase it for that intended use. I've always thought a disc screener would work almost perfect for it.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters When you can load 20 or 30 rounds in a hopper and have them run on a conveyer to the splitter and you didn't have to bend down and pick up a 60 or 100 pound log just load it with a bucket people will want it. Take a young stud like your self and do like you did in this video we are commenting on and have an older guy use a Easton made Hopper and time both see who will feel like going dancing after. That will sell more Hoppers then you can make.
Not much of a secret of the person it's going to when you film in 4k and can read the tag, LOL. . I mean I can almost tell if the 372 is gen1 or gen2 with the 4k. LOL
Nice setup Andrew, especially having the wider sides on the conveyor. Wish I had asked for them when I purchased my conveyor last year. The 10’ disc cleaner as a trailer, perfect!!! 40 ft stacker 🤔 That would be handy….🪵😎
Was wondering if anyone would notice the disc screener lol. It rolls and moves nice. The wheels pivot on it, biggest problem is that it rolls to easily. 40C was running the other day. Programmers should be back this week to get it tidied up. You're gonna love it.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Might have to supply brakes or wheel blocks with it to prevent it from rolling when running. If that’s what you mean. 😁. Awesome!!! I can’t wait. It will make a big difference. 🪵😎🇨🇦
Can’t wait to see that 16 way in action. Someone is going to love that machine.

Looks like a nice machine. I can see a lot of benefits from a vertical splitter like this
Thank you guys and Andrew for building a high quality machines!! I picked up my Axis two weeks ago and what a great machine!! Thank you Eastonmade.
We really appreciate the business. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Nice Shirt Andrew. I am an OHT Driver at Baffinland.
I love that splitter! Well done!!
Man that is getting it done in a hurry. I like it
Great set up Andrew, thanks for sharing

Allen Family is getting a sweet rig!
:)

Still my favorite machine. Nice to how handy it is with regular wood
Thanks bill. The axis is a pretty versatile machine. Comfortable to run all day to.
Boy, it sure would be nice to have that setup. 🤔
Mb some day....😀
Hope you had a good relaxing vacation with family friends Andrew. Well deserved Eastonmade #1 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
We had a good holiday. We had a lot of fun with the kids. Back to grind on monday. Great to here from you Brad!

we are stash's brown barn campground 10 minutes away from the show. I have cleared a spot in the woodyard just incase you need a spot to "store" it
Great setup Andrew!👍👍
That thing is sweeeet! My 24D I wanted to order appears to be way more expensive now.😫😫😫
hi there nice splitting , best to all john
Thanks john. Great to hear from you!
The Axis and the STK 24 IS A NICE COMBINATION,
It really does work great. Thanks for the feedback!
Welcome back from summer break!

We have them dialed in good now. Almost as fast as a horizontal machine now. Really appreciate the feedback
Very nice setup!! I’d love to see that new disc cleaner with the wheels up close and personal!! See you at Bunyan!
The disc screener works well on the wheels. a few variables to figure out yet, but we're getting there.
That’s an awesome setup!
Thanks genin
conveyor for forwarding a bucket of firewood rounds for the guys who want to boost production and use either type of splitters.
nice job👍👍
Thanks cecil. I think i saw an email come through from you mid week. Henri is back on monday and I'll get him to call.
Cheers brother 🇨🇦😁👍🏻

I've been following phil and karen a bit. Looks like a nice piece of equipment.
Let me know if you can bring mine to boonville
Put a box wedge on the left ede of the wedge blade. Thus making several pieces on each stroke.
It would speed it up for sure. The only reason we don't if for the liability of it.

Yes they do all have radial stacking
Did you ever offer a two bladed "X"
Wedge for the Axis
Or a three bladded "Y" shaped wedge , ?
Does this version come with the Honda engine?
No we only use vangaurd
Let me guess, it’s going to Allen Family firewood?
My lips are sealed!
How big is the fuel tank on that splitter?
Axis great maschine no doubt, but conveyor needs improvement chains don't grab wood as good as belt.
How high can the axis with the attached conveyor dump into a dump trailer? I have 4’ sides on mine and it is roughly 7’ to the top of the side.
