One thing that you said at the end of this video is very wise. Teach your children the skills they need to sustain themselves when things go bad. It doesn't necessarily mean, the ability to catch and preserve fish; it can be anything. But teach them.
I watch a bunch of NZ videos of fish ,catch and cook. Show some more videos Stan. I don’t watch tv. Just barely a bit. I’ve Seen you on tv. But your personal videos are just as cool as I have seen a few times over the years. You have the making of a really good show with just what you do daily. Keep it up. Don’t give up. Many people are counting on you for inspiration in your videos of your daily life and in what you do. Quite impressive. Thx
I loved the video. Especially when you create the tools that help the process of perfection. The dried fish looks amazing. This is healthy living. No preservatives added. Taking pride in preparation is very important. Thank you for sharing your pointers, pertaining drying fish "Stan Zuray" style. Love it.
Stan is a GOOD engineer .... He just doesn't realize it yet !!!! He's very knowledgeable in MANY thing :) :) :) That makes his channel so different from others , in my opinion .....
Stan, your the man, enjoy your info, you are teaching us all on the basics, Thank you for your knowledge and interesting information you share, God Bless!
Stan I really enjoy the educational aspects of your videos. It is like "Alaskan Life 101" every time I watch one of your videos. Great stuff sir! Scott
Hey Stan, greetings from Washington State. Again, another valuable lesson on curing fish. I never fail to learn something from your videos. Thanks for sharing many of the things you've learned through trial and error, other people and life experience. Many blessings to you and your lovely family. (Kateri)
STAN THE MAN, I really enjoy your videos. They are informative and very interesting. You do a great job explaining how people live and hunt and work in your community. I used to follow you on T. V but I think that they longer make the videos for T. V. It is really amazing how you do things. You are a true MacGyver ( remember the TV series ) But, it is not fake, it is real. Thank you for sharing your great experiences, and knowledge.
Going after our limit on silvers to dry this Thursday. Looks like we will have a bunch of sun for a few days afterward to get them off to a good start. Will do some both for us and our dog.
Thanks Stan. I needed to cut venison jerky for my wife. After watching your video, I made me a pair of "Stan Zuray cutting guides". Worked great. Have a picture but don't know how to attach.
Thank you for another good video! It's always nice and interesting to get a view into your life in Alaska and everything you do up there. Greetings all the way from Denmark.
I have been following you for years.... totally enjoy and appreciate your detailed explanations of processes and reasons why you do what you do. I do hot smoke but would love to get into cold smoking some day. You are giving me some great ideas on how to do that. God bless and keep you!
Looking like a great way and time to live along the Yukon River. Old school, old times living as a cooperative community. I sense a road trip with a destination. 2029, I rode to Tuk, I love the solitude and clean air.
OMG. The stretching method with the weight was beautiful. My son's awake and thinks I am nuts. "Mum he is just cutting fish what's the big deal?" SERIOUSLY. Come on son I like watching people who are resourceful so what DON'T I GET?
Another great informational video Stan..Looking forward to the next one already..I enjoy the T.V.show but I enjoy these videos more since it seems more personal and we get more of the story instead of bouncing all over the place...I really appreciate it...You are living the life a lot of us young boys dreamed about while growing up..Thanks again !! Please keep them coming...
That hunting trip Charlie and Joe did season before did not go so well. But Charlie and Stan's caribou hung was cool. What herd did you hunt that trip Stan?
Yup...today is a good day. I just found the you tube channel for Stan Zuray! I did'nt know you were making vids brother...too cool! You were always my fav on YM. So stoked! Looking forward to checking out your old vids, and for sure looking forward to your future videos. I am a screen printer in Portland, Or, saving up $$ to buy land in SE AK. Sure appreciate the info for air curing the fish. Better get used to me commenting, cause I am with ya now man! Have a great day up there Buddy! Be well.
I grew up with wilcox farms dairy milk =) amazing how that crate made it up to the Yukon! Stan you are an amazing man! Im so excited to find you on youtube!
I know many people get confused over the way people up here talk about people food and then dog food. If you lived in a village that traditionally had many more dogs (sometimes 3X more than total residents) you would understand it more.
Outstanding Stan. I spent a lot of time in the Yukon and on the river. I love this tutorial you are doing. God Bless and keep them coming. Also, Happy New Year.
I was gonna say...are you still kicking? but then I saw your truck video and realized your still above the dirt. lol. great videos buddy, I watch all of them. I realize that you must meet people that greet you like a long lost friend, and you are probably thinking who are you? but they watch all of your videos and see you as a long lost friend. keep up the good work.
I love your life for me it’s so amazing 😉 i looked on DMAX the Yukon Man for me it’s this life a dream I’m coming from Germany 🇩🇪 Hamburg the life her its so boring. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 Hamburg your Simon

Nice to see you Stan, sure missing watching Yukon Men! We are moving from Texas to the Kenai Peninsula next month and we are going to be in a big rush for winter but that is the "Bana Belt" compared to where you guys are! I'm an Eskimo from Alaska. It's awesome to see others learn from what we do every summer and really get into it. Smoked and dried salmon is the best!
I learned from my Yukon/Tanana family which is all Athabascan natives.
Great Stan the old-timer leading the way in the social media. Usually it is the kids teaching the old-timers on that.
I had to learn for the fishery projects I used to run. Never typed anything or turned on a computer in my life till 1999
One thing that you said at the end of this video is very wise. Teach your children the skills they need to sustain themselves when things go bad. It doesn't necessarily mean, the ability to catch and preserve fish; it can be anything. But teach them.
It is needed over and over. Just even look around the world today. The US has been going on a good stretch but it too will pass.
Stan, you've got to keep posting videos. This IS the real thing, and that's what the people want and need to see.

Yeah that young couple they added kind of spooled the show by taking time away from characters like Pat and James.
Maybe not all of your gizmos an inventions get patents. You sure built one hell of a fan club. Jerome.
