3 questions about this video-1,how are you legally allowed to use a suppressor on that rifle?and 2,how is this a comparison between the two calibres? And why was it banned?
Laws are different in different parts of the world. Last I heard, silencers are considered mufflers like on a car in a lot of places with otherwise heavy firearms regulations. Loud ear splitting booms from firearms can be considered a nuisance to neighbors etc. They don't completely silence a firearm like the movies, but that's what the liberal American media wants to believe; that their exclusive use is an assassin's tool.
If your in NSW at least you can apply for a prohibited firearms permit which means If you have a genuine reason for a silencer you can use one

308 for overall versatility. I just joined a 300 to 1000 yard shooting club, full of all sorts of characters with experience aplenty, a precision Gunsmith among the ranks. They choose .308 for overall versatility and availability. There are 30 cal bullet designs these days that are up at nearly .900 G1 BC for 240gr, obviously more suited to a long action, down to just under .700 G1 BC for 168gr, and 155gr no slouch at .626 BC. Different boat tail designs such as a rebated boat tail and funky designs from Trom industries, that claim to make a 900m Blackout round, and beyond in 30cal platforms and a near mile long range for same oal as 308 (2.8) necked up to 375 (Raptor) from a 20 inch barrel. Apparently smooth transition between super and sub zone, where some may start to yaw. Oh and too much choice on hunting applications not a bad thing. Apparently best designs are Nosler partition, and monolithic copper alloys perform well provided med high velocities. But pricey! $$$
@Remove Kebab It may well be, but that's what they claim. TiborasaurausRex does a feature video of ULD manufacturers, with the Alco featured. Funnily enough I fired 2 matches today at 500m with this exact weight and design pill, just a different manufacturer (here in Aus, B and T energetics). I'm looking forward to see how they perform at 1000m from a 20" barrel. Haven't tested speeds yet. Probably only 2750fps from 45.0gr ADI2208. Link attached.

@Remove Kebab They replied to my enquiry asking when they'll have more stock, they said they were waiting on a die from US, last one broke. I've been waiting on a Krieger barrel to arrive from US since about August!!! Ordered in February.
