The Stats do matter but there is a trend I see in MANY games. Damage or Rate of Fire. For those of you who play The Binding of Isaac, its Polyphemus vs. Soy Milk. The problem with and gun or weapon of any game that has the same DPS but a higher fire rate as a competitor will usually be less favorable; and this is why. If you look at Stats the A280C and E11 would appear to have the same DPS, this means for them to be equal, you have to make ALL shots from both guns. Since the A280C has a higher fire rate you have to make more shots than the E11, increasing the standard deviation (variability) and making it a lot more likely to loose out on the A2's full potential. An example would be if there was a gun with the same DPS as the E11 or A2 but shot 100 bullets a second, It is true that technically it has same time to kill as the others, but it is a lot harder to make every single shot it would take to kill one person as the A2 or E11, and it would feel like you are feeding the enemies marshmallows. Plus as we all know Guns with higher damage have a natural advantage at longer ranges.
Except there are two sides to the coin. Sure, if two weapons are measured and one has higher rof, while the other has more dmg per shot...your theory sounds great. You are required to make less shots to get the kill and that might sound like an advantage. HOWEVER, your theory is based on the fact that people miss shots. In your theory you argue that "Because people miss, it's better to have to get lets hits on them". When in reality, missing a few rounds on a higher rof weapon is much less punishing than on the E-11 which fires much slower. So sure, it might be good that you are required to connect less for the kill. But if you don't connect all of your shots, which most people won't for these kinds of weapons...the A280C has a super advantage. At the same time, games send data at specific rates using data packets. Faster firing weapons means that more shots are going to be registered per packet. As opposed to slower firing weapons, that would send the data slower because of the delay between shots. Battlefront also runs at 30 hrz tick rate which is pretty slow for modern fps games, Todays fps games usually run at 60 hrz servers to combat these problems. At the same time, Battlefront actively allows for out of region connects, which further contributes to the problems. These reasons are why there is so much kill trading, lag kills around corners, etc. So to put it simply. High ROF weapons have an advantage because it's less punishing to miss and due to netcode/server limitations.
OTAKU Hmmm, yeah. I can definitely see that. I guess now for me its subjective. I also tend to focus of the individual shots and the rhythm of the guns which Is a lot easier with the E11. And I'm thinking more shooting at moving targets, I've gotten to the point where I know if I miss a single shot of the E11 so If i am shooting a moving target I will know if i need to aim more to the left or right if I do miss. With the A2 or RT even I dont know how many shots hit the target, and there isnt really a definitive rhythm to kills especially with range drop variability. Of course I'm not saying any of the guns are "bad" not by far, andone who is skilled in the game can do similarly with all guns, but its why I have a preference to the E11. Overall i highly respect your reasoning. But this made me think about why the E11 is more prevenent than the A2, And I see this kind of thing happen in many other shooters. Two weapons where one has Damage and other has Fire Rate.
This is very well put together. Good job!! I often use accuracy based weapons and find myself succeeding more with the EE-3, E-11, and T-21 standard. Though the A280C may reward the all around player more, I feel that when put in accurate hands, the aforementioned weapons prove much more useful, especially when playing tactical and using flanking routes.

Fun fact: The A280C WASN'T used in the battle of Hoth. The actual blaster on Hoth was the A280. This is because the producers kept getting the names mixed up during production and they used the A280C

A280C has been my weapon of choice ever since I watched your review of it. I'm having great scores with it on big maps. Amazing kill streaks. Also, explosive shot is very good with this blaster.
After using most of the other blasters in the game for an extended time and falling in love with the DL-18 coming back to the starting weapons was quite a surprise at how devastating they are at medium and short range and if you time your tap fire even at longer ranges you can down an enemy in a very short time but on Endor I absolutely love the E 11 blaster for up and close attacks 2 quick bursts and a hammer blow to the skull done

Your vids have helped me out a lot with my gameplay... thank again. Now if you can just make a video using the pulse cannon. You make it look easy, but i struggle...:- )

I think a lot depends on your play style, game mode and map. I play mostly the close quarters game modes and find myself mostly in mid or close ranges. I also don't use scan pulse so never really know where enemies are until they're fairly close....So E-11 for me. I do think in the larger modes though where there are more enemies and you can play at longer ranges, the edge would go to the 280C. I'll also use it on the larger maps like Raider Camp. Great video though...Thanks.
I prefer the E-11 myself and I'm newer to fps on console games but that's me between the two I think try em both and go with what feels right to you, in the end having an enjoyable gaming session is what counts. a good k/d ratio always helps
Awesome video! I still prefer the E-11even on PS4 because I have high accuracy. It's always good for close combat with two to three shots reking someone :D

I love both weapons, but I like the E-11 a bit more because it's more accurate (and I like that!) and the A280C has a wierd habit of derailing upwards when I go for a headshot or try to shoot someone that's far away, so that's why I like to use it more in close quarters (because you don't have to worry about the derailing).

Hello Otaku, big fan of yours here. Always am looking for your new videos. Anyway for your next episode, may I suggest doing the DL-44 vs the DH-17. The reason why is I am pretty sure the 17 got buffed a ton (I wouldn't know though) , and I think it be cool to compare it to the OP it's self. If not defiantly do SE- 47 vs the dh17, or a three way vs of the SE- 47, dh17, and the 44. Well I'll keep on commenting again soon. Hope u consider my advice.

I prefer E-11 especially for flanking because my first surprise shot will do more dmg and will be the easiest to land and I like headshotting (I play on PC). I only play A280C on hero modes because that's the only mode where I don't feel so bad for using explosive shot (because it's op). Great video.

PC master race can aim so they don't need A280C ease of use. If you are an experienced player, you can get great short, medium or long range kills much faster with the E11, thanks to its higher dmg and pinpoint accuracy.

Will you be doing a comparison between the DLT-19 and RT-97C? I feel like those guns don't deserve to get nerfed because their accuracy and damage were pretty bad to begin with.

+Filip Holm Incorrect, the 97C has lots of spread but it can be controlled by tap firing at the correct rhythm. The dlt-19 has a very high side to side recoil that cannot be controlled at all.

I love both weapons, but I like the E-11 a bit more because it's more accurate (and I like that!) and the A280C has a wierd habit of derailing upwards when I go for a headshot or try to shoot someone that's far away, so that's why I like to use it more in close quarters (because you don't have to worry about the derailing).

Hello Otaku, big fan of yours here. Always am looking for your new videos. Anyway for your next episode, may I suggest doing the DL-44 vs the DH-17. The reason why is I am pretty sure the 17 got buffed a ton (I wouldn't know though) , and I think it be cool to compare it to the OP it's self. If not defiantly do SE- 47 vs the dh17, or a three way vs of the SE- 47, dh17, and the 44. Well I'll keep on commenting again soon. Hope u consider my advice.

I personally prefer the E-11 (and it's my main weapon), but I do sometimes switch to the A280C if in close quaters, or if I'm being lazy.

I prefer E-11 especially for flanking because my first surprise shot will do more dmg and will be the easiest to land and I like headshotting (I play on PC).
I only play A280C on hero modes because that's the only mode where I don't feel so bad for using explosive shot (because it's op). Great video.

I like the a280c because when firing in bursts it still does great damage it does not overheat as fast and accuracy is not affected as much

Play game modes like HvV where you earn good credits but don't spend them as much.
PC master race can aim so they don't need A280C ease of use. If you are an experienced player, you can get great short, medium or long range kills much faster with the E11, thanks to its higher dmg and pinpoint accuracy.
Can you please do videos about how to play on different maps, and how to move through them to make you a better, love the videos keep it up : )

Will you be doing a comparison between the DLT-19 and RT-97C? I feel like those guns don't deserve to get nerfed because their accuracy and damage were pretty bad to begin with.
DLT-19 wins easy because of less spread
+THAREALDAN I'm hoping in the next patch they will address the heavy blasters with some sort of buff, either way, I will have a video comparing them at some point.
+Filip Holm Incorrect, the 97C has lots of spread but it can be controlled by tap firing at the correct rhythm. The dlt-19 has a very high side to side recoil that cannot be controlled at all.
+OTAKU You're probably right in my experience the DLT-19 has always defeated the RT-97C that is why i thougt the DLT-19 would win easy.
