I have never been a fussy eater and would eat anything as a child , loved my greens but one thing I could not eat because they made me sick were these horrible “ poffertjes”, my siblings nevertheless loved them !
That's why we don't eat it every day or week. My mother made it once a year or we would get it on a funfair. On a funfair I will get it but only with 8 poffertjes not 16 or 24....waaaayyyy too much

Exactly in Amsterdam you only get the cheap fake ones made with instant powder and some water. They even use the wrong plate to cook them the right way.
Best with a splash of Grand Marnier on top. Enjoyed these while in Holland visiting family.

It is a dutch oven surface, and the black is not the oil. It looks AWESOME.
It have to be black, it means the plate is well burned in like you have to do with a traditional wok. The plate is made of red copper.
