    This was impressive - and needed. After watching you many times on What's Neat This Week, I again found you and your fine show, from Ken Patterson's monthly video where he interviewed you at RPM. Ive watched several of these now and look forward to watching the rest. Good job well done, I say.
    Thanks for sharing...

    Even steam locomotive's are worth investing DCC n Sound technology into it's more entertaining cause steam locomotive's were before diesel locomotive's

    Do your Steam & Diesel decoders include cab chatter?

    SP&S challengers had a 3 chime deep toned whistle which is currently being used by SP&S E-1 No. 700, Yes, that No. 700, the largest operating 4-8-4.

    I can't believe all the non related remarks. Question. Can the Tsunami2 produce 'emergency' brake sounds when the power is lost. In other words, when the engine is slowing, the engine is in emergency. Seems like it would be more realistic. Thanks

      We do not have a way to have the decoder activate a sound or effect when power is momentarily lost. We can do automatic sound effects for moving in the forward direction, moving in reverse, stopped in the forward direction, stopped in reverse and emergency stop. You can refer to this video for more on that (ua-cam.com/video/cbTa9heeBaU/v-deo.html) or download the Tsunami2 User's Guide at www.soundtraxx.com/manuals.php for even more detail on how this works.

    How about a list for a starting point for different locos?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  6 років тому +2

      Unfortunately we do not currently have this as there are so many locomotives, railroads and locomotive manufacturers, but we will take the suggestion into consideration. In, the mean time, we do have a brief locomotive history on our website that may help you: www.soundtraxx.com/choose/choose2.php?m=ex
      If your locomotive is factory equipped with Tsunami2 we offer CV sheets for your specific locomotive on our website as well: www.soundtraxx.com/factory/index.php
      Your sound selection also greatly depends on how you are operating your locomotives. Different railroads may have used the same locomotive but different bells, etc. If you are trying to match a locomotive on a specific railroad you may want to look into local railroad museums for more information.

    Will you add the ability to control fan driven smoke units with your HO decoders in the future?

      We will take this feedback into consideration.

    How do you turn off the steam dynamo? I have a vertical boiler CLASS A CLIMAX which had oil/kerosene head lamp. In the video you turned off the dynamo in the American type but did not say how you did it??? Thanks.

      Set CV 1.299 to a value of 255.
      This information can also be found on page 55-56 of the Tsunami2 Steam User's Guide on our website (linked below as well). To completely disable (or un-map) an effect, set the corresponding effect’s CV to a value of 255. The effect CV can be found in Table M: Effect Map Registers.

    Can you add more reverb to the whistle the way you can with the tsunami2 diesel prime mover?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  6 років тому +3

      Yes. All Tsunami2 Digital Sound Decoder (steam, diesel and electric) have our full featured sound system including reverb, equalizer, mixer, and high-pass filter.

    Can you guys make a sound decoder for a LB&SCR E2 class tank engine for hornby and sparkshot's E2 class and add it on the USA and UK website.

      @SoundtraxxDCC  6 років тому +1

      Our UK ECO-100 Digital Sound Decoder should work for this model. Just make sure to test that the stall current is less that 1 amp before you install. UK Econami Steam Sound Selection Reference: soundtraxxuk.com/manuals/Sound-Selection_UKSteam.pdf
