All those ferocious sounding race cars just made my day,by bringing back memories of the years when guys actually drove those race cars on the street,& raced them against each other,& even taking them to a local drag strip! Music to my ears! Loved it!
Old Rusty at 10:53, with Mr. Willard, behind the wheel, has been wowing crowds all over the southeast with wheel stands. What a great guy he is also. I remember the first time I seen him at Dale County Dragway in the early 80's. Thanks for the memories James!!
Drag racing isn't what it use to be.. Everything is computerized and big corporation.. I loved it when you had to do everything by ear and manually adjust your carburetors and go out there and give it hell!!!
Sal Brancaccio absolutely . I had a 66 hemi charger no power steering suicide brakes ( single master cylinder ) with ever bit of 550 at the wheels . headers dumped at the fender . I bought that car when I was 14 sold it when I was 30.
A lot of Fords. All the running Thunderbolts must have been there. It isn't worth much probably, but what drag racer with a pulse doesn't love the sound of a 1/8 inch over bored tunnel rammed stick shifted shoebox. Great stuff, thanks for sharing
I'm surprised that there was only one Impala. Not sure if it's the original W-motor in it or if they replaced it with something else. I THINK it's the original W-motor since it sounds a bit different compared to the others. After all, there's nothing like a 409.
no matter where you go theres always one car with either 1 or 2 rear lights out...put all that money into a car and cant even get the lights to work....what a waste....if your gonna build a car do it right...
