Approximately 70 years ago, I played the flute obligato accompanying the DBS choir, singing the Oh Shenandoah. The obligato was composed by Mr. Baker, our music teacher. That is a piece of history I like to add here!
My congratulations, dear friends there in China singing within others also world wide well known songs (Shenandoah for example) ! Is there in your school also a choir with little boys only like the Vienna Boys Choir ?
@@Catzuru Lol I have friends going there they'll tell you the same thing... what bullshit. Just because they raise the flag of China that means that people would say the school is in China? Just because the government says so, that means people will just happily believe themselves to be Mainland Chinese? The national anthem of Hong Kong has always been the PRC anthem... it's common knowledge. That doesn't mean people believe HK is a part of China though. It's offensive to many MANY HK people to say they are from China especially students of this school, you should look up protests. Nobody feels they go to school in China, everybody feels they go to school in Hong Kong. If HKers represent HK internationally and dont raise the Chinese flag, it could be an offense and China will be angry. Doesn't mean HKers themselves think they are part of China nor does it mean they identify as Mainland Chinese. I'm not the ignorant one here. Just an ETA, I'm from HK, I grew up in HK, I was born to HK parents, my entire family is from HK. You don't have to mansplain it to me.

Hong Kong, not China.
And yes, Diocesan Boys' School has a choir with younger boys, from the primary division (DBSPD)
