Great reaction ! Haruna performed a 2-3 minute drum solo during some or all of the concerts in Lovebites' recently concluded "Judgement Day" tour in Japan. I was fortunate enough to see one of those shows (Tokyo leg of the tour) because they LIVE streamed it, and her solo was amazing ! Fingers crossed there'll be another blu-ray/DVD for one of those concerts.

Great reaction. Subscribed. This song was written by Miyako, the black haired guitarist, for one of her former bands “A Drop of Joker”. Some members of LoveBites loved it much and Miyako rearranged the song to fit Lovebites. Miyako is my favorite all time musician and composer. Lovebites my favorite band at this moment. Please try “Nemophila”. Another great all female Japanese metal band. It will certainly be on your list of top bands. Thanks for this reaction.

The choice is difficult. Lovebites and Nemophila are my favorite number 1 bands, but for different reasons.. the musicianship, artistry and vocals are world class and beyond from both!

The only choice I make is which Lovebites music shall I listen to today.
An older song, it sounds a bit different because it came with Miyako from a former band, A Drop of Joker. Originally a metalcore song called Liar, LOVEBITES rearranged it, and included it on their first album. I agree, Haruna is just a beast on the kit.
I would include Nemophila, but the fan base isn't as large as the other 3, probably because not as many people are fans of the harsh vocals.

@@ThePentagenarian Lovebites will always be my no. 1 fav band, but there's one Japanese (not all female) band that's pretty much under the radar that you might want to check out - Sokoninaru. One of the most endearing qualities of these women is that they all maintain their beautiful femininity. Even though they are playing Metal. That's why I call it "Class Metal".
They are all the sweetest little creatures, with such engaging personalities. When you watch some interviews, and documentaries, and posts from their own channels, you will see what I mean.

Babymetal is an ALL female song and dance group. Su Metal - Moa Metal - Momo Metal. The back-up musicians are the Kami Band.

My take on the other two bands....
Band-Maid isn't metal, they are hard rock with some metal elements, the reverse being true of Lovebites
Baby Metal isn't all female. They are an idol (female) metal (male) band, unlike the other 2 that are all female.
Lovebites is pure metal at their core. I give the edge in overall musicianship to Lovebites. Band-Maid and then Baby Metal/Kami Band follow. I simply prefer Asami's vocals over the others. Yes I am Wolfpack, and Lovebites plays exactly the music I love. They take from my favorite era of metal, late 70's to early 90's, blend it together, modernize it, and nail it!! Miyako is my favorite musician ever, and I wholeheartedly believe that Miyako & Midori are the greatest dual leads ever. I have no guitar background, just piano/keyboards. No one beats Lovebites to me, ever. It took me 50+ years of metal listening to say that, and I feel they will by my #1 for the rest of my life. There are a whole lot of metal songs I love, and many bands I have enjoyed. It's difficult to explain how great they are to me. Their music, their talent, their personalities, they feel like family to me. And they back it all up with the greatest catalog/collection of songs I personally have ever heard by one band. And I say that in comparison to bands like Led Zeppelin, Opeth, Exodus, Megadeth, Metallica, Mercyful Fate, Grip Inc, Slayer, ELP, Dream Theater, and many others I have loved over the decades.

You should check out a Japanese female band Alduious. Yoshi is a beast.
not alduious, aldious is a great band, but unfortunately they don't have a singer at the moment. members of aldious often participate in projects by former lovebites bassist miho. aldious was at its peak when singer was re:no (~2018). this year, only one live performance has been scheduled with support singer maki oyama.
Her name is Asami. Take ASAHI Beer and remember it's an M, not an H. lol
