- This week we take on the first leg of the ICW. We leave from Norfolk, VA and head into North Carolina. We have an interesting time navigating the lock, we get a show we will never forget from the dolphins, and see one of the most beautiful sunrises we have ever seen. Come along for the journey.

They are jealous of what you are doing, no matter how you got there. But the positive of this is, at least they are thinking about you! You consume part of their mind! I sailed the ICW from Gwynn's Island to Titusville FL on a one off Rhodes sailboat many years ago. It was an interesting trip and I saw a bunch of interesting things on that trip. We blew an engine, got carbon monoxide poisoning from the heater, the old man that was with me had a stroke. We saw several boats with full gear just floating free. If you get to the Bridge of Lions in Saint Augustine or Titusville FL. notice all the anchored out sail boats on the south side of the bridge with no mast. That's where the homeless people live. The marinas have boats that the slip rents where not paid, so they strip them and anchor them out.

Nice third episode Team Nadia! Again the quality of the video and audio is great. It would be great to get a “back story” episode on you two. Where did you go to college, majors, how’d you meet, etc…. Also, Andre’s story about he and his mom looking out of the harbor watching all the sailboats leave and his goal of owning a boat within a year and cruising full time…. Hey Dre !!!!! So after seeing the video of your terrible accident I wanna say I know EXACTLY how that feeling of being on fire is. As a retired Chef I had a nasty incident where my whole arm got douced in 500 degree Grease.
I wanna share/recommend a product(s) that was ESSENTIAL in healing correctly.
The first - ASCEND , Silver Sulfadiazine , comes in small blue jars.
2nd , KENDALL - Thermazine , also a Silver Thermite based cream in a blue jar.
Be Very Careful about infection during the healing process. Don't go swimming or get near dirty water. Dont wear clothing that isnt COTTON or heavily dyed or dark colors. I suggest a lot of White Cotton or Linen clothing.
Avoid Sunlight on the burns. The sunlight will leave nasty scarring and discolouration.
I had to go back into the burn center every day for 8 days for Debriment , where they would take off dead skin each visit literally a couple square inches per session. They shot me up with a mixture of Demerol and some anti-nausea medication to keep me from screaming my fool head off during the sessions.
And man the Percocet were going down like M&M's ,,, so Plz be careful of that Opiate addiction creeping up on you !!
Yea man,, just take extra special care of yourself during the healing process brother , and stay chill.
Hey, you'll likely get a boatload of new subscribers over this incident ..... and speaking of the incident,, can you Please explain what happened or how this happened ? I have been using my Alcohol Stove-Oven combo for years and didnt know it could ever result in such a bad accident !?!?
I fill my canisters , which are like new , and let them sit for 12-24hrs to full absorb the new refilled fuel, and then use them normally. I am trying to picture or guess how that crazy of a fire could happen, unless it happened as/when you were re fuelling ??
Explaining for sure will help anyone else from this result.

Came over to watch after seeing you on Expedition Evans. Like many others have stated, I'm glad you're giving us the chance to come along and share in your adventures while watching you grow in both boating and videoing skills. As you mentioned, it appears most of the comments are supportive (as they should all be). However, as I'm sure Jade mentioned, there will be way too many detractors. She was very stressed for a while by the haters. As someone once said, "haters gonna hate" (thanks Taylor). Many are jealous, many think they are helping (but aren't) and many are just mean. Nothing you do will please them, so don't stress about it. I love your freedom and your desire to live your dreams. Hope to see a lot of great videos in the future. Fair winds and following seas!

As for hitting the bottom, you may check the settings for the depth sounder. Does the reading show water depth (reference then is the waterline being above the transducer) or depth underneath the transducer or even depth underneath the keel ? Most modern sounders can be adjusted for any of them. The actual water depth can be checked when moored by using a line with e.g. a heavy shackle at the end. One other thing, in waters like the ICW quite often thick weeds give a return to the echo sounder indicating a much lower water depth than the actual distance to the bottom. So you may reed e.g. 3 ft of depth but your boat drawing 5 ft will still move forward. Check the chart for such information.

Get an alovera plant it is magic on a burn. I was engulfed in a gas fire and had sever burns and was told i could lose my hand. My girlfriend had a larg alo plant that was sacraficed on my burns. When I went to the doctor a week after I was released from the hospital the were amazed.

Getting frustrated with inexperienced people is an easy thing to do. People forget that they too were inexperienced at one time and the only way they learned was by doing it and annoying those more experienced than themselves along the way. Keep doing your thing as you learn and grow into seasoned sailors and UA-camrs. I look forward to seeing much more of you two and I am glad I found your channel.

Glad I found you on Exp. Evans. You both have good on camera presence. I have a Hunter 35.5 and our boats are very similar. I have had two alcohol stoves catch fire, learned the hard way you can't use the thing for at least 30 minutes after refueling. Hope your recovery goes well.

Hey guys, here from E D. Hope all is well and healing fine. Nano colloidal silver helps prevent infection and healing…especially burns. You can dilute 3 to 1 with distilled water. Maybe use it with a spray bottle. Most of all do you research and best of luck. 👍👍✌️✌️🙏🙏
