It takes some getting used to, but within the first 48hrs you'll be back to normal :)
Honestly, don't be scared!!! I was quite nervous because all the stories we hear, but it isn't as bad as I thought at all.
Just make sure you put vaseline on before the appt and I'd recommend taking some paracetamol (obv follow what's on the box not what you think you need!!!!) They do hurt quite a bit after 3hrs and when first eating, as they're quite sensitive, but it does calm down within the 24 - 48 hrs 💞✨

What was more bad twin block or braces?
Personally twin blocks, as I couldn't eat with them in and it was easier to fall out of routine and lose that self discipline to keep them in :)
Oh u can't bite hard food whilst u wear braces. U need to cut down the food into pieces and put them in your mouth and chew.
Yeh u can't eat/bite hard food cos it can break ur braces that why!
I couldn't bite apple cos I knew it would be impossible and uncomfortable so I avoid eating apple for over 2 years even after Post braces. I finally eat apple comfortable after 6 months post braces!

Could you make close ups of your top retainer in?
Close ups should be in a couple different videos after this one. Right now I have my retainers for after braces which can be somewhat similar. If the close ups in videos up to now aren't what you're looking for I can do one with these and compare them instead for you :) - Sorry it's taken so long for a reply!
I've had block braces for about 5 months now and I'm getting train tracks on the 20th of December. I struggled a lot with having a really bad lisp with the twin blocks. Do the train tracks make you have a lisp or not? XX
They can do slightly, but personally I'd say, it wasn't half as bad as the twin blocks at all. I could definitely talk quite normally again once the blocks were out 😂💛 xx

if you still have some pain while wearing the block I would suggest you to see the orthodontist as there something that needs to be adjusted. I got mine filed three times and the hooks were adjusted as well and now is OK. The cast is not perfect at 100%.
It must feel comfortable otherwise is not possible to wear it full time. Your upper piece is similar to mine and seems that is covering the whole palate. Correct? If you feel the pain close to the molars for sure is the acrylic that is pushing on the molar bands. The plastic piece in the front seems a bit uncomfortable for the speech. In mine I have two blocks to assure the jaw posture with the lower part and for this reason I need to wear those when I eat too.
The pain has subsided now, but thankyou, I'll ask about it still in my next appt (Nov 11th) thankyou for the advice 💞
