I got offended when you said the Madea movies were “good.”
They are, in fact, peak cinema.
Comment of the day
Haha
As a Yankees Fan, Clay Holmes does not deserve to be in the All Star Game
Glad that there are even Yankee fans who can see how bad this pick was. There are probably a few other guys who weren’t talked about who deserve in over Clay Holmes also. But those two should have definitely been in over Holmes.
Your not a real Yankees fan then you should root for the people on the team he hasn’t been good as of late but he’s had a good season
@@845WiffleBalla real fan doesn’t beat around the bush about how a player on their team is doing and whether or both they should be put in games like the ASG
Shouldn't be on the AS team, but also doesn't deserve even a fraction of the hate he gets. Dud has had a TERRIBLE run but after the run, his ERA was at 3.00 his ERA+ was 137. So after having a very bad month, he's ONLY 37% better than an average pitcher. Many fans act like he's some bum.
So to be a real Yankee fan I had to think Joey Gallo should have been in the 2022 ASG?
Damn. Been watching them since 87, been to about 200 AA games when they played in Albany-Colonie, have collected Yankees cards and autographs for about 35 years and count meeting Yogi Berra as one of the highlights of my life... And now I hear I'm not a real fan because I don't just blindly say every Yankee should be on the AS team. Damn.
The Awful Star Game should absolutely be a thing though. Get the worst players together and let them duke it out over nine absolutely dreadful innings.
The golden raspberries of baseball
No disrespect to minor league players, but wouldn’t that just make a regular (above average) minor league game?💀
aren’t those awful players look awful because they are less competent than those more talented big league players?
Again not being disrespectful to minor league players, my point is gathering all the “bad” players from the big league to play an Awful Star Game would not be as special as having some of the best players in the leagues to play an All Star Game, I think.
Or maybe for the sole purpose of humiliating those who got voted, maybe💀 but otherwise I don’t think it would be that different from a minor league game
They should pull random fans from the crowd and have a game
Ok now this is one of the better ideas I've heard in a minute
All pro sports All Stars games ought to be discontinued.
Most yankees fans agree that Clay Holmes is definitely not all star material
Not anymore
How easily the Yankee fans turn on the players go read your comments a month ago
@@1891kmk he was playing lights out a month ago
I’m a yankee fan and i disagree. As a closer, no. as a reliever, yes
Sadly true...(Yankee fan here) Him being our closer scared me even when he was doing well....NVM now...
Jesse Chavez being left off as a reliever in the NL is criminal! Dude has been lights out this year!
Fr
bros like 90
I hated it when the Cubs got rid of him. But hey that's the Cubs org for ya...
@@franklintheturtle217 your point? Age doesn't matter when you're still getting the job done.
I think alex cesia deserves it more
As a yankees fan, how Cardiac Clay got picked over Gil is beyond explanation
Gil reallly struggled recently
Agreed. Even though Gil hasn’t been as good lately, he has still been way better than Holmes this year. Plus, Gil had one bad outing that inflated his ERA massively, whereas Holmes has had multiple outings where he gives Yankees fans trouble. Heck, his ERA over his last 15 games is over 5.00.
Should’ve been Andres Munoz instead of Clay
Andres Munoz from the Mariners would deserve it more than Kimbrel
He thankfully did make it
@@sadmarinersfan8935 Did he really? I thought he was snubbed. If so, very much deserved
@@canadianinvinciblecomics2255 he is replacing someone I think
Arguably Taylor Scott from the Houston Astros has better stats than all three with more innings thrown and still a lower ERA. Though he is pitching about 1 strike per inning, but in my opinion I don't care how many strikeouts a picture is able to get. If they give up runs we lose a game so era to me is more indicative of if you are being an effective pitcher as it is the stat based on runs given up by the pitcher. Yes I am a Houston fan but honestly I had no clue he was having this good of a season until I found out about him missing the all star game, which initially made me think. Of course he's no Superstar pitcher, But then they put up his stats and I was like I guess I'm wrong about how good of a pitcher he is. And now hearing who actually made it in is mind-blowing because that was arguably the worst reliever on the ticket. To me, this only helps to make the MLB All-Star game less relevant and more of a joke than it had previously been made.
Then there's the SF Giants whose bullpen has kept then relevant. The Giants have until just this week been playing with a 2 man rotation. This is just another reason I see the allstar game as a popularity contest
Kimbrel isn't even the most deserving AL East reliever... that's Kenley Jansen
As a Sox fan they are even for me you can’t really pick between the two
Kimbrel is MLB Saves Leader for Active Players plus second in the American League. Even when he is washed up he is still better than many relievers
People thinking Kimbrel should be in but NOT noticing Andres Munoz is absolutely ridiculous.
He's has better stats than Holmes. The only stats Holmes leads In is innings pitched and games played
Even worse is Holmes getting in over both.
Ronel Blanco was a huge snub this year
Yankees fans will tell you themselves there is no future in Clay Holmes as a closer.
Griffen jax should if been a allstar bro been a elite setup man . Clay holmes isnt even the yankees best reliever this year which makes him being a allstar so hilarious
Was about to come here and say Jax. Twins fans know he got screwed.
Munoz snub wild

Griffin Jax of the Twins is another player snubbed as well
Tayler Scott of the Astros has a 1.44 era in more innings then Craig and Munoz while having a 277 era plus
So is Ronel Blanco
The fact that the mlb commissioner office voted him is crazy
Wild
Probably a Yankee bias cuz Rob Manfred grew up in New York as a Yankees fan. Gotta love it
I mean as incompetent as he is, is it really a shock?
During that horrible 10 day stretch for Kimbrel, he had a back injury which contributed to the trouble
A lot of people don't understand that a lot of the decisions for him was chosen when his ERA was like under 1
When I saw Clay got selected, I was like…HOW?!!
As a Yankee fan, I wholeheartedly agree with this video. Never mind the obvious fact that he shouldn't be going to the All-Star Game - he straight up should not be the Yankee closer. Even in the first month and a half of the season, when he was doing well, it seemed like he was always in trouble and just barely getting out of jams. I didn't want him closing games even then.
All that being said, that's clearly the least of the team's worries...
2:04 To think he went from this to -2.0 WAR less than 6 years later.
Kimbrel was atrocious on the Cubs too in 2019. Literally the reason they missed the playoffs single handedly blowing 5 or 6 games in the 2nd half.
That one bad week and a half, Kimbrel was dealing with a bad back, that actually kept him from being used in a 4 game series against NY.
I think Kenley Jansen, who has a 2.01 era and 18 saves, also deserved more consideration.
I want to play devils advocate and be against Kimbrel but it’s hard to argue with his success this year. It helps to have consistency. Rob Thompson and the Phillies like to shuffle the deck more. It just doesn’t work that way for kimbrel. He’s been much better off in Baltimore. Great defense behind him too
I Love the videos man, keep it up!
Thank you!!
As a Yankee fan, I couldn't agree more. Even when he was getting great results, I knew it was a fluke. Clay Holmes is NOT and elite closer, he is barely passable and gives up way too many runs and baserunners to be effective.
Yankees fan here, I’m shocked he made the all star game because he’s been raising my blood pressure all season long! 😄
its makeup for last year when he was one of the biggest snubs 🙏🏽
The commercial in the intro unlocked a memory I never knew I had
As a Yankee fan, Clay Holmes is one of the most overrated players we’ve ever had. The innate desire in our fanbase and organization to have another Mariano Rivera has turned into an awful at worst, mediocre at best reliever, into the most overhyped player ever, just because he had a hot streak in his first year with us.
Every like this comment gets ill do 1 pushup.
No you won’t
He lion and a cheetah.
Video or no proof it’ll get done
What do you even gain from begging for likes
Come up with something original. Your comment is on every other video. It's not funny.
Just wait until people learn what Tyler Perry is paying you for all those low key Madea mentions.
I know Clay had no plans of going to the All Star game until he got invited. I agree that he is not a good closer, believe me every time he comes in to a close game to try and save it we all get scared. It is like when Chapman used to come into the game and us fans would be like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! The Yankees suck like every season and I am a fan for 35+ years.
Props to bro for posting basically everyday, the hard work is crazy
I honestly think the NL picks are decent.
Do saves not matter to you because you didn't bring it up once in essentially a discussion between which closer should really be in the all star game lol.
Btw for numbers Munoz is 14 in 16 chances with 6 holds and 2 - 3 record, and Kimbrel 23 for 27 with 4 holds and a 5 - 2 record but I wouldn't look at the record too much because that usually is connected to how good your team is at bailing you out when you mess up at getting the save or not holding a tie and its quite clear which pitcher is working with the better offense.
Oh and to make this whole thing worse Holmes isn't even the best reliever on the Yankees imo so ye all star voting is great 😃.
No, saves barely matter tbh. Like yeah cool, but what good is a save if you came in with a 3 run lead and gave up 2 runs on 2 bombs? Great, you got the save but got rocked in the one inning you pitched the entire game. That's how I see it
@@iTalkStudios I mean I can see that but:
1. It's one of the most high pressure slots in baseball and if it was that simple everyone would be doing it but they don't. Teams make and miss the postseason based on the closer and it's very nice having the confidence that you got one arm reserved to close it out especially come postseason time. Heck it even strikes fear for the other team to just get ready for tomorrow.
2. Before we adjust the stat of "save" we need to take away the ability to get a win after blowing the save which is probably the stupidest thing ever.
3. If I were to adjust the save stat I don't think I can go lower than 2 earned runs because even the best would lose a lot with those margins and that wouldn't change the standard for lockdown pitcher coming in with 3 run lead or less (or men on base already risking that 3 run gap).
Oh, also side thing and just my opinion but a closer giving up 2 solo shots to still get the save is more rewarding than the starting pitcher who consistently gives up 4 runs or more to be baled out by his offense and just pitch 5 - 6 innings. Interesting to hear your thoughts on it still.
@@lesliejacoby9137 your right Taylor Scott should be all star instead of Holmes
i believe this video motivated Clay into his 1 1/3 IP clean save today. Thank you iTalk
Let’s ignore Ronel Blanco and Taylor Scott who’s numbers outshine all three of thiese dudes in this video
As a Yankee fan clay Holmes most definitely does not deserve to be there. Blew way to many games
Wasn’t he added by the Commissioners office for some reason?
Love the videos man keep it up
Thank you
The fans do not need to vote. I don't know how they fix it? I'm a Cardinal fan . We only get one guy? There are at least two more that deserves to be there. The fan vote is not fair. your thoughts please?
As an Orioles fan Kimbrel started off pretty awful but has been very good recently.
Why do you have Ned Flanders as your PFP?
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te idk, cause it’s dumb and I like dumb names.
Clay Holmes needs to be sent back down to the minors. NOT the All Star Game. He needs a hard reset, either that or a DFA
Ronel Blanco deserved a spot.
As a Yankee fan I agree with this very confusing pick by MLB I know every team gets a MLB selection if they're gonna pick a pitcher should be Luis Gil. Seattle's closer g
Got picked so that's good but yea I was shocked lol*
Josh Smith was snubbed. Change my mind.
Easily
As a Lankees fan, I agree with this take on Cardiac Clay
He's a horrific closer lol.
Griffin Jax was nasty this year and in my opinion could’ve and maybe should’ve been an all star
Munoz has a 1.51 era he got robbed way more
Every like this comment gets I will not do 10 pushups
I agree with Holmes shouldn’t have been picked but you do know that he wasn’t a fan vote pick. He was picked by the players. You should direct your attention to the players.
How is everyone forgetting about Hunter Gaddis????
Pete Alonso over Christian Walker was absolute garbage as well. Walker beats him in literally every single significant stat but I get the Mets need a rep
Explain please
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te google is free, but let me break it down Pete Alonso has 49 RBI, 2 SB, .243 AVG, .776 OPS, 1 WAR, 18 HR. Walker has 66 RBI, 2 SB, .261 AVG, .834 OPS, 2.6 WAR, 22 HR. Literally beats him in everything fairly significantly
I was at the yankee game on thursday or friday, 3-2 count 2 outs Masataka Yoshida up to bat, everybody on their feet, next thing you know, the ball is 6 rows deep in the second deck, he has NO place in the all star game what so ever.
You know ball
@@iTalkStudios thanks, lmao😭
I don't pay attention to the MLB All-Stars Game anymore.
As a Phillies fan it makes me so mad to watch craig kimbrel, the guy who basically blew the nlcs last season, do good in baltimore, i was praying on this man’s downfall.
Wait until October. If he pitches well then, then you can get mad.
i already commented this on one of home run productions recent videos, but if the 9:34 Phillies don’t win the division and make it to the world series this year, I will straight up eat a picture of bryce harper every friday until they make it back to the playoffs, mark my words, if you find this after the WS and they lost, you’ll see i’m a man of my words
Don't forget about Carlos Estevez
Me as Yankees fan - Holmes? Why???
How about Christian Walker not making the All Star Game😢😤😡
lol, the third video about the Yankees in 7 days. The Yankees rent check came in yet?
They put Holmes on so that both Boston and NY had three all stars. Cause the Yankee fans would throw a hissy fit if Boston had more than them.
Every other video is about the Yankees 😭
Kenley janson got snubbed
Love accountability. Not a big fan of Madea movie's I would Much rather rewatch space balls or Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
Madea Movies suck
Jax??
We need Evan Phillips on the all star roster bro he Been lights out for the dodgers
Andres Munoz deserves the spot over Kimbrel.
But don't forget about Griffin Jax.
this guy loves tyler perry
As a Yankees fan clay is unreal garbage
Without finishing the video he's probably talking about Clay Holmes 😂
I am disappointed that ITER is taking forever to go online. I wish fusion power plants can just emerge out of the sand like MLB stadiums. 0:30
Thing i dont get is that its mostly only closers who end up alstars
You should make a video about how bad AJ Minter sucks.
Griffin Jax exists
Yankee bias is very very real in the mlb office that’s why kimbrel didn’t make it to the all star game
Andres Munoz has a 246 ERA+ which means he's 146% better than the average reliever
Nah Holmes deserves it -MLB
I thought this was going to be about Andres Munoz… Mariners get under appreciated again.
as a yankee fan, i hate clay holmes and just the fact that he made the all star game, anyone but clay deserved to be on the reliever roster.
This Yankee fan did not vote for Holmes.
NL fans voting for Holmes like: 😈 "Fufufufufu"
You couldn't vote for pitchers
Dimbo
My birthday is may 19th!
Jesse Chavez!!
Brent Rooker not making it is horseshit. I know Miller was going but Rooker deserves to go as well
Munoz is the real snub
I dunno man. If I had to choose one player to close a game I'd pick Holmes way before Kimbrel. You forgot how bad he was with the Cubs too. He gives up too many homers.
What does it matter what Kimbrel did for the Cubs? It's what he's done this season. And there is no way Holmes should be in over Kimbrel.
L comment
As a Phils fan, I think Kimbrel should be permanently banned from baseball.
how on earth is clay in but not luis gil??? im a yankees fan and this is absolute bullshit.
what about andres munoz
nvm
Hell yeah Italk
Andres Munoz should have made it tbh
Craig kimbrel > Adres Munoz > clay holmes
Was gna sub until he said Tyler Perry movies were good.
Clay Holmes should apologize for taking years off my life
Foos been trash with the dodgers the Phillies and now he don’t have pressure that’s why he’s good
