Um no. The opinion was likely to be the same as Ray-Tracing on videogames these days "What do I need these 3D graphics for? I'm happy with my games being played in 2D! 3D is a gimmick!" There's no way anyone looked at 3D from the PS1 era and thought it was anything more than a gimmick. That's just how it goes with technology m8 😁😉
