403 Olds Engine Tear Down. In part 3, I tear down my 403 olds from my vintage Baja Jet Boat to try and see the extent of the damage and make a decision on how to proceed with getting this back on the water! I also replace the exhaust manifolds due to an exhaust leak I have been chasing for years.

windowed mains..definitely a 403..same 6.6L olds engine they used in the late 70's Pontiac Trans Am's.. the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" had the 6.6L / 403 olds

Exactly! I bought the Haynes manual for the 79 firebird to get the specs when I redid this one!

Ok the video looked a lot worse than the pictures! Also holy crap on those exhaust manifolds were they both that bad?

One was worse than the other but they were both pretty bad. I can for sure see why they leaked!
