Mocking the "hard water inhalation" origin for Golden Age Flash completely overlooks the fact that hard water was at best poorly understood in the 40s. All most folks knew about it was that it somehow related to atomic research, and anything associated with the "power of the atom" was capable of anything in period scifi. Barry's "lightning strike plus chemicals" origin is certainly no better science, and arguably closer to medieval alchemy mixed with an act of the gods than huffing hard water vapor. Jay was just as much a scifi character as Barry, just from a generation earlier.
Schwartz mocked it too, check out his interview, also on this channel: The Julius Schwartz 1999 Shoot Interview by David Armstrong ua-cam.com/video/NXuPDMw7uQ0/v-deo.html
Very good
New episode! Feels like it is our Christmas gift. Thanks CBH.
May the Schwartz be with us....😁
Silver Age Flash has one of the greatest superhero origins of all time! I feel it's up there with Batman, Superman, and Spider Man!
He got hit with a lightning bolt and covered with random chemicals in a lab. That’s second only to being hit by a gamma bomb
More episodes please
