Amazing how Wotancraft can fit more into less space. I have the 3.5L Pilot and I can fit my Fuji Xpro3, a 23mm voigtlander, a 35mm fuji and a 16-80mm zoom along with spare batteries, cables etc. A feat my 8L Mckinnon sling cannot match! This backpack is def. on my shopping list.
Bought this bag because of your review. When you buy it at the Leica store it comes with the waist belt but not those two black inserts you showed. Great day bag! Thanks for the through review.
I'm watching this considering to change my laptop short business trip bag so i can carry some camera equipment as well when i travel, but I'm concerned about security. Those side zippers seem too easy for a pickpocket to snatch your content. They should add at least some sort of clamp near the zipper end so you could attach a carabiner or small lock to close it somewhat more secure.
Thanks Desy. I've really been interested in this backpack since I picked up the Pilot 7L Sling/Messenger in Charcoal Black. I feel like the inside of this bag feels strangely claustrophobic, if that makes sense. I think this would have worked a lot better opening up clamshell. One thing to note is that the Pilot 18L in Black is a different colour to the other Charcoal Black bags/accessories that Wotancraft sells so this makes the modules not match the colour, which is a shame.
try the eberlestock switchblade and add the tenba byob 10 insert. that bag has tons of outside pockets! my new review of that combo is coming out tomorrow morning!
i actually had a friend who had the black one just go for a month of traveling with it and he said he was caught in a downpour and his gear remained dry!
@@DesmondCheng That's good to hear, can the main compartment be expanded into the top compartment? I wasn't able to find that readily on their website. I think in the video you mentioned there is a divider.
Hi Desy , great review, I have watched a few times now. I am looking for backpack to take on a 3 week trip to Japan this coming Autumn. Use case is this will be EDC for the whole trip for my camera - currently XT3 with 3 lens and there will be a couple of points where I will forward my suitcase ahead to another city and want to have 1 change of underwear, tshirt and small toiletries etc for an overnight on the way. My 2 questions if would wouldn't mind are - How comfortable would this be for a 3 week trip as the EDC camera bag and does it have the room for that overnight scenario I mentioned? Cheers and thanks for the great content!
Hi! I've been using this bag more and more. Assuming you take out the top padded section, and leave all your camera gear at thebottom, then yes I think you will have enough room for 1 overnight stuff. As for comfort, its not terrible at all so I think 3 week raod trip is fine. Shimoda I would say is the most comfortable out of them all!
How does this Wotancraft bag compare with the Wandrd Prvke that you mentioned a few times in the video? Overall, which of the two bags would you recommend? It seems they each have pros and cons.
I will take a look at the bag at a retail shop in a few weeks but honestly try to load the prvke first before testing it on as it is easy to get heavy even on light loads.

glad i could help!

Great review. I've been using the 3.5L & 7L Pilots for sometime and love them...
yeah my friend just ordered the 3.5L!
@@DesmondCheng I mainly use it for my M10 and a couple of lenses, but every so often I'll drop the Q in it and go... Such a great bag...

oh interesting, good to know! And yeah, I prefer clamshell openings as well!
Needs outside front and top pockets. That's a dealbreaker to me..

Thanks for the review, bag is almost perfect for me but roll top design always irks me with moisture.. will think hard about it

@@joeyassyrian you cant expand it, but you can remove the top dividers so you can put other larger items in like a jacket etc

hello do you think that the fujifilm xt3 + 1510-600mm would fit in it? Thank you in advance

i like the look of the wandrd more, however you can fit your gear much better in this bag!
