Hello Gareth 👍🏻All the best for the new year buddy 🎉 great video and lots Georgian bits, stop going on about wishing it was silver or gold mate lol , it’s all still history found in a great hobby . All the best from Somerset ❤
Hi Simon, as always thanks so much for watching this one from the old archives. Ha yeah I get your point, but as someone who regularly finds silver on almost all my permissions, this field does not produce any at all, despite the fact its absolutely loaded with Georgian and Victorian history. In 18 months detecting it and over a dozen visits, I have only racked up 2 silver coins here, which is bizarre

Hi mate, yeah I'm still here, uploading content has been tough in recent months, been finding it incredibly difficult to find enough time to metal detect and edit a video each week. So just doing it as and when I can at the moment. Life and all its routines gets in the way of my hobby

Hi mate, I use something called Renaissance Wax. Really good stuff. Small tub does hundreds of artefacts and coins. Works best on items with a nice smooth patina. Apply with finger tips, buff with micro fiber cloth. Hope this helps
Lovely video G, great finds. I do feel you are missing a trick when it comes to finding silver n gold with the D2. Don't get me wrong , you are so experienced but I think you are fixated on SensiFT. I would love if you stopped using it and switched to another for 2024 to see if your silver finds increased. Change can be a good thing G!!!
Hi mate, I had by far my best ever year for gold in 2023 🤣 Silver count was 35, my lowest ever due to permissions drying up and nowhere near as many hours in the field. Sensi FT will find anythin Gold Field or Deep HC will find. Which program do you suggest? Thanks as always for watchin. G
The scourge of our hobby, finding new permissions, I hope you find some more soon bud. I do like the gold field , it seems to bang louder on those deep targets, but we all have our fav.prog. I suppose. Don't mind me, I'm just wishing for more silver and gold finds for you!!
Hi Jon, Sensi FT is much more suited for me. Gold Field is great but its loud and noisy. Sensi FT tells me a lot more information about the ground and about the signals. Thanks so much for watching. G

@@northdevondetectorist you should get a rope, a gopro camera and torch, send the camera and torch down and record it 🤣
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Sounds like a good idea mate, but the unpacking needs to be done first then I will be on it for sure.
Great video as ever Gareth. Nice to see you back out. Not been out myself for about 5 weeks. Farms have been undetectable here lately so no digs with my club. Hoping to get out next Friday, Only to the beach but any time out detecting is a bonus. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas and new year ? Hope 2024 is a prosperous one for you and every other detectorist.
Hi Brian, apologies for the slow reply, I am 2 weeks behind on comment replies. I receive so many comments now it is almost impossible to keep up. Had a great Christmas and New Year, but the weather was rubbish. I had 11 days off work but did not go metal detecting once - normally my busiest time for detecting!! How did you get on at the beach on that Friday? Thanks as always for tuning in. G
Thank you very much for these wonderful videos. Are there any settings you can recommend for Deus2 2.0 version? Thank you 🙏
Awsom big G💯💯💯
Thanks very much for commenting
The Duke is back, happy new year
Hi mate, yeah I'm still here, uploading content has been tough in recent months, been finding it incredibly difficult to find enough time to metal detect and edit a video each week. So just doing it as and when I can at the moment. Life and all its routines gets in the way of my hobby
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire i know the feeling dude
Happy new year, mate.
Hey there Rich, cheers mate and a belated Happy New Year to you too. Thanks as always for watching and I will catch you on the next one. I wish you good fortunes in 2024
I love Gold Field on a wide open site. I notch out everything up to about 40 so it's not so noisy.
Hi mate, thanks for the channel visit and for watching this video. That's a great shout notching everything out up to 40, I might try this. Thanks. Hope to see you on my channel again
Did you see that worm at 7:30?
I just watched this back, it wasn't a worm, I'm not sure what these creatures are but I've seen them many times before. I believe they are hibernating, but unfortunately I sometimes disturb them. I always try to put them back
👍👍
Hello Jillian, thanks for checking out this episode. Hope you are having a great start to 2024, catch you on the next episode. G
Thanks for another great episode, when u say wax the coins what do u actually do? Bees was or something?
@@funiguy8779 I should probably be using Relic or Gold Field on the clean pasture fields I detect. Maybe I can have a play, we'll see!
Goldfield really elevated those signals. I like Full-tones as well. Nice group of old coins. Thanks for sharing. Jon
Hi Jon, Sensi FT is much more suited for me. Gold Field is great but its loud and noisy. Sensi FT tells me a lot more information about the ground and about the signals. Thanks so much for watching. G
An interesting video useful for Deus ll owners, not for me as I am still on Deus l.A cracking token in beautiful condition. The weather was much better in 2022 not like the rain we have had this year,
Hi Dave, thanks as always for tuning in. That token was indeed a cracker, one of the very best I've ever found. Yes had to raid my backlog content as I had nothing else to edit. I have a few others from 2022 yet to be edited. I will get round to it one day haha
Great finds but shame about the condition, I think the token that you have found was a conder token
Helloo Julia, copper Georgian coins do not fare well in wet earth. But that token was an absolutely brilliant find for me, I love finding stuff like that, a proper display piece :) Thanks as always for watching. G
1791 token is awesome
Hi mate, thanks as always for tuning in and watching this episode. That token really was amazing, very rarely do those Georgian era tokens come up like this. Funnily enough I was detecting yesterday only a couple of fields from here and found another amazing token. Hope to see you on my next episode. G
Im wondering what update you were running?
Hi there, thanks so much for visiting my channel and watching this video. Having tried and tested all versions on clean pasture fields, my preference is 0.71 as it is much quieter, stable and discriminates iron like a dream
Hi Gareth! Just watched 2 XP instruction vids from XP and Gary! Check them out!
Now time for your vid! 🤩🤩🤩
Hi mate, Gary does make some great tutorial videos for XP products, I watch them now n then when I can find time to watch UA-cam. I hope that you enjoyed this video, that field was one of the busiest fields I've ever detected. 18 months later and it is now almost void of signals. Always makes me feel slightly guilty when I've emptied a field
Ok👍👍👍👍👍
Hello, thanks so much for visiting my channel, watching this video and leaving a comment. I very much hope to see you again on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos. Gareth
Hi Gareth set disk iar to 5 same with relic mode
Hi mate, thanks so much for visiting my channel and watching this video. Thanks also for the tip, Gold Field definitely needs taming a little bit. Need to get back on this field and have another blast. Hope to see you again on my channel. Gareth
Forgot to say Gareth it's iron rejection it goes from 1 to 5 but set at 5. Also set your iron volume at 10 on all programs it works for me
@@carlharratt6253
I agree! You have to have IAR and iron volume. Otherwise you wont hear the iron ...🙏

Hey there Vlad, thanks for coming along and watching this episode. Hope you having a good start to 2024. Catch you on my next episode. G
Current Queen?
In the summer of 2022 yes. I thought I made it clear saying it was summer 2022 both in the video and the description. I should have probably added a note during that part of the video. Thanks for watching

Come again?
