Both phones really disappointing in the camera department in terms of dynamic range. But this is a close call. More RAM and more storage any day.

The Tecno is better in every other way expect display (which nobody really cares about) and camera.
I feel like Tecno has so much potential to make amazing cameras. They have the hardware they need but they struggle to get their phones' systems to be in sync with the capabilities of their camera sensors. When they fix that problem I'll buy Tecno all my life
I feel like the display is important as well, considering that it's the one thing that you'll spend all your time looking at.

I no longer have the Note 8. You can go for the Note 10 Pro over the Note 8, but I won't say the Note 10 is much of an upgrade
@@izziboye that's what I think the note 10 pro isn't much to upgrade to just the punch hole in the center that I like nothing much. And I have seen some complain that its over heat doing gaming by Eric okafor and me am a big gamer myself.
I will go for the note 8 I don't want to miss the 5200MAH on it cos that will last longer then the note 10 pro with 5000MAH. Thanks for the advice

I dont judge the cameras of these devices harshly especially if their price is that affordable. If camera matters a lot u know the phones to buy.
Both phones are good buy if u wan more bank for ur money u should go for techno camon 17 pro. Its surely more durable with drop and water resistance. More storage etc. If u value display (amoled) and u know u are always careful with phones go for redmi. Techno for me, as someone who is on budget.

It's not just xender actually. Xender was just the easiest way to show it. If I attempt to share data through hotspot I don't find the Redmi Note 10 Pro. I usually have to use QR code to connect

For the xender wahala just download a older version of xender, and the hotspot problem is gone, it happened to my redmi 9 last year, even tho I had updated my xender to the latest version at that time,
But when I installed a older version it worked.

It's not a problem with xender. I used xender because it was the easiest way to show the problem. I can't share hotspot with the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

For me it’s Redmi Note 10 pro, no contest. Never would I trade a much better processor for storage, especially if the phone with better processor has expandable memory anyway. RAM difference is almost unnoticeable. And With Xiaomi, you’re already guaranteed to get long software support. The Xiaomi phones my wife and I bought 3 years ago still get MiUI updates regularly.

Redmi charges faster than tecno. In this Nigeria of today that light isn't stable most of the time, one would want a phone that not only charges fast but can last more than a day without wanting to charge again and that phone is the redmi note 10 pro. Yes many people would go for tecno because of the 256GB storage but why buy a phone that takes almost 2hours to reach 100% all because of storage space when u can buy that one that takes 1 hour to charge.

Both phones are similar to some extent but the Camon 17 Pro has higher RAM and Memory, also a higher selfie camera. Performance will be same due to their processors, might have to get back to you on their picture performance compared

I'm emphasizing on the battery because I'm a heavy Gamer, The camera is good for me. But Tecno Camon 17p, Its even different from Tecno Camon 17 pro... i wouldn't advice you to go for 17p, instead Go for Camon 17pro because of the 8gb ram and 256gb storage

Lol that's not how it works. We have different preferences and the reason I show you the pictures is so you can decide which is your preference. If I go on and say A is better it will be based on my personal preference and not a universal truth.
If I say A is better and you prefer B, will you consider your choice invalid because I preferred A?

There is nothn wrong giving your personal opinions as most others do. You have the phones, you have the experience and tested reasonably so giving a personal opinion is earned as long its the truth
I've come to understand that people prefer what they prefer, and when it comes to choosing between two things, two truths can exist depending on what you want, so my truth may not be universal. If I give my personal opinion without pictures, you would want to see the picture samples. So I find it odd if you say you're unable to tell from the samples I've shown. Maybe you want to watch in a higher quality 🤷🏾♂️. If I'm reviewing a single phone, I can give my personal thoughts on the cameras like I've done in their individual reviews. Also, if I'm comparing and one is outrightly poor I'll state it.
MKBHD does blind camera tests and decides which is the better one by what the audience has chosen, not by his own preference and that is because what I like will be different from what you like.
If you want my personal preference I'll say buy the Samsung Galaxy A52 instead of either of those as both their cameras did not satisfy me. Would you take that as my verdict for this video?

I prefer the processing on the Redmi Note 10 Pro rear cameras, has better dynamic range.
Selfie cameras I find the Redmi to be disappointing. The Camon 17 Pro is more true to color and sharper with better saturation.
Putting your suggestion into consideration I may state my opinion on future videos but still won't choose which is better as that's for the consumer to decide from the results. I hope you understand
@@izziboye Mr Izzi, I do like watching your reviews as they are very straight forward but the main reason is to know which is better at what and finally make my decisions based on that. We the buyers believe that you guys are professionals and have really tested these phones, not having to go into retail stores asking about what phone is better. Now you talked how both phones process images on their cameras which is great, I love that you did that. You might not necessarily say which you prefer but it is important to let us know which processes images better professionally(ie unbiased).
Our opinion should not be of concern from a professional point of view, you are not actually saying that one phone is good or bad but enlightening us on its all round quality. Lets say glass build (premium) vs plastic build (durable), it is important to let us know the in hand feel because we the viewers don't physically have the phones. Stating camera processing and image quality are extremely important in most phone reviews. Obviously one will be better at one than the other or the same and vice versa. This is not a personal opinion but a professional one if you get what I mean, what you prefer would either be the icing on the cake for us or not, that is left for the viewers and not yours to worry about.
It would be very unwise to pick a phone based of MKBH reviews of the phone. MKBH does more of high end phone reviews so i do not beleive MKBH would spend much time on these budget phones to know as much as you guys do, no offence to that. I am Nigerian and I live in Nigeria so you get the rest. The fact that tecno marketed the phone as the best selfie camera smart phone is more than enough reason for you to prove that, as you guys are our fact checkers. Tecno have only recently stepped up their game as the likes of Redmi are penetrating into the Nigerian market with better and more affordable phones.

Amoled screen lifespan is 5, 6 or more years so that is not an issue. I don't see the problem in that, don't see many people hold a phone for that long, specially when batteries degrade so much.

Same here Tecno is just better with their os clean up unlike MIUI. Hios is more reliable. The only problem I have in most Tecno phones is the lack of stereo speakers. Nice to see one in the camon 17. Good job Tecno.

It's Tecno Camon17 Pro for me, the phone stands out
I use the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
All round good device. From performance to camera(this video didn't do justice to it btw), down to a full day battery usage and that screen!! Binge watching Netflix will leave you in awe of it's beauty. And streaming HDR content as well.
There are literally no ads with the new miui 12.5 update and thankfully, being android, you can immediately customize your home screen.
Does it get hot?
If you have zoom meetings up to five hours nonstop, while having hotspot on, you will be notified to turn off the device for a while. The highest I've had is 47C, zoom meeting/watching live football/hotspot too, while charging (multitasking possible with floating apps) so yeah, doesn't overheat unecesarily but don't stress it.
Dynamic range isn't perfect at default but once you edit the pro features, only IPhone 11+ does beat it really.
And gaming, I've tried all games they work medium settings 40-60fps at least.
The only game this device cannot run is After Life or something. Staggering 30fps on Low.
The miui 12.5 update fixes the ram management issue as well.
So, I guess that's it.

Why Tecno comes with more accessories is to make up of the cut corners in display and additional external things like the IR blasters and stereo speaker in most of their phones.
I've searched for the Google pixel camera mod for Tecno devices can't find any online.
The Google Camera mod brings out the best on any camera.
No one has developed it yet.
