I saw it's attempt at the "Will Smith Spaghetti" test and just couldn't help but laugh. They're charging so much for it because it must be expensive to run. Which means it has to get a whole lot better before anyone will want to pay that much money for it. Will they get it to that point before the hype is over? Time will tell.
I can see Sora being useful for content creators that need short clips of footage to illustrate video essays. Instead of having to look for stock footage, they can generate it. But anybody who wants to create serious videos will end up creating them in the conventional way in order to have control and consistency. It's just tiring how people who know nothing about video keep pushing the BS about artists being replaced any minute now.
