WHAT IS BSL? Wondering what exactly is BSL? Learn more about British Sign Language in this video!

British Sign Language is the preferred language of 145 000 Deaf people in the UK. This video explains how BSL is made up:
1. Your signing space
2. Your face - mouth, eye, eyebrows (non-manual features)
3. Your head
4. Handshapes
5. Your body

Hi Sue. Yes. American Sign Language has its roots in French Sign Language, but BSL does not. It is more one-handed. BSL is a two-handed language. They are two separate languages.
