Mave Hsiun, actually Mavis does have plenty of local fans and she was also roundly applauded when she reappeared for performances in recent years. I just did not expect this kind of warm reception from Taiwan too, which is all the more surprising considering how many stars there are in Taiwan. ;)
She deserved such a warm-hearted applause! We Taiwanese all love her!! She was a superstar few years ago! She is, of course! We are really happy to see her back! She is one in a million, having a lot of beautiful songs to soothe our loneliness!
Mavis Hee is now known again in Hong Kong too, as her song "傾城" was used in a famous movie. As a HongKoner, I love Mavis Hee, even more than Sun YanZi and Faye Wong, she is the best with no debut

As a Singaporean, I am surprised the Taiwanese know this song well and even know Mavis Hee. The Taiwanese gave her such a warm and genuine welcome!
It's frequently played during Ye Shi Ren Sheng over there, at one point it was the theme song.
and also surprised that Singaporean not really support her/ those local artist.
