- Destiny Mode is one of my favorite modes in Dynasty Warriors second only to Empire mode for it's interesting game play back in the days. Join our hero Ma Yunlu, the sister of Ma Chao as she beats people to death with her mighty 2 hits combo - It's much like getting murdered by a toothbrush.
Today's story covers from her employment to the battle of Fan Castle. - Ігри
To be fair, If my army was being defeated by someone that only does two attacks. I would be scared XD

at least YOU sold your ps2, in my case it was my grandfather who sold it without me knowing it, and I didn't earn anything
i love this game mode, i would play this constantly as it used to be the only dynasty warriors game i had but i frickin loved it
wow some sweet memories from my childhood, i would love to see them bring back destiny mode in dynasty warriors 9 :D

He doesn't say, but the game is actually DW5: Xtreme Legends, not the base game.
I love that they reused the Destiny Mode’s theme for Xu Shu’s extra scenario in DW9.
OMG... i miss this mode so much, i wish they would implement it into the new games.

That just makes the mode more Special imo. This is the ONLY Destiny Mode in any DW Game.
Ma Yunlu was a youngest sister of Ma Chao,Ma Xiu and Ma Tie she is a youngest daughter of lord Ma Teng and Lady Hua Lanli she is a spouse of Zhao Yun.

It's too bad KOEI are prejudiced against Ma Yunlu, who SHOULD BE added, because the Japanese fangirls who worship Zhao Yun would lose their temper if their favourite poster boy got his own wife in the game.
Xing Bashu I'd like to see Yunlu. Sides. Gives Zhao Yun some damn help in saving Liu Bei from Sun Quan.
DW4 and DW5 are my favourite DW games of the Franchise ☯️👋✌

With how much trouble you might have as a beginning Dynasty Warrior, you don't realise what you've got till it's gone.
I'm still annoyed that 5 Xtreme Legends and 5 Empires were never on the XBOX(Where I had DW4 and 5). Hell, 5 Empires was a launch title for the 360 of all things.
It is shame they drop this mode :(
4XL and 5XL are best in DW series. In 4 you can buy soldiers, in 5 you can play as a soldier.

Hey, folks! I just figured out on how to obtain the unfactioned (non wu-wei-shu) weapons in the Yellow Turban Scenario for destiny mode, although my method can only works in emulator.
1. Right after you have finished your character creation, and is asked by old man Shui Jing if you will start w/ your CAW, save state it. The aim is to make sure that you can have either "finish the mission in 7 mins" or "12 mins" later in the Yellow Turban objectives which will yield higher completion points. If you don't have any either of those options later in the objectives selection, I suggest you load the save state and repeat again.
2. Start the Yellow Turban Scenario (1st one), and do along the objectives until you find one Supply Captain wandering around the enemy base (in my experience, the chance of their occurrence is higher when the enemy commander is on top left of the map).
3. Now you want that weapon of un-factioned officers (e.g Zuo Ci's or Lu Bu's) right? From here on, is where everything will literally drain your patience.
4. Once you meet a Supply Captain, pause the game and save state again (on another slot different than where you have save-stated the Shui Jing's last question). After you do that, return to the game and beat him to take the weapon.
5. Now, if you're in a hurry (say, because you took the 7 mins completion objective, or time is just about to run up), hurry up and beat the commander, and see the obtained weapons screen after that.
6. Here's where you will have to hold your patience for an unknown amount of time. If you get the weapon that you wanted right away, GOOD. If you don't, well you will have to return to the 2nd save state and redo all of the things you needed to beat the commander.
Yes, I can't determine for how many times, since the weapon drop chance for each weapons (both of factioned and un-factioned officers) are completely random. Fyi, it took me about 30 tries to get Zuo Ci's cards with Cao Pi as my Commanding General, and about 15 - 20s tries to get Dong Zhuo's machete with Xiahou Yuan as my Commanding General.
All that aside, I wish that this info could be of some use to everyone out there craving for unfactioned officer's weapons. Well, good luck and have fun, folks~

lol i remember this i play like 30 destiny mode campaign, the sad thing is the only fact that you can only serve either shu ,wu ,or wei generals, and i did the most crazy thing by defecting 3 times i didn't even know it was possible
and btw fire attack tactic is op in the game, also the horse that the sergeants had is so lame

Sometimes I wish this mode would be in the newer games of dynasty warriors but who knows maybe they will or maybe they have a remastered in some way

If your defection from Shu to Wei is a ruse you'll get an option to change sides.Zhuge Liang will contact you and order you to trap your Wei general and you will be back in Shu under him.
