Happy New Year Mick. Nice to see you back in your "home from home" big man and well done in finding that wee monument only 24 years old sad when you think about it giving up so much for other people. Good to see you again mate, peter 👍
Cheers Peter hope you're keeping well bud. This was the 4th time looking for this site and hard work on your own so roped Nathan in, we have been looking for another site way off the beaten track near Woolhope Crags but no luck, the heathers even deeper there lol. Aye only 24, really sad. There are a few small pieces of the plane at the base of the post, we had a quiet moment then left. Happy new year and all the best for 2023 bud. Mick.
Cheers Geordie I've been up 3 times just before Christmas by myself but hard work for one in the heather so roped in Nathan and 2 working together made it easier to find. Take care and all the best for the new year bud.
Good stuff mick . Me and John come across it’ a couple of years ago when up there camping. But had a look since and couldn’t find it again lol it’s mad but there you go. Fantastic mick cheers mate 👍
Cheers Alan for some reason I thought it was further down this was the last look before trying to get the coordinates lol it really is far off the beaten track and have doubts I could find it again haha. Take care. Mick.
@@blamhof indeed mick trying to find it again was hard . But hopefully will try again in the spring. There is a case with some bullets casing inside mick just beside that cross under some stones. Very interesting stuff. Great little find 👍
@@blamhof glad you found it mick fantastic site. Me and John will be back up there in the spring. Bellyside is one hell of a spot. Hopefully we will meet up for a camp this year would be great to catch up . Away with Eddie to the gormes in May he was asking after you . Cheers mick 👍
That's the first result of the year Mick. A decent find to although you have known of it for some time. Only 24? They were all very young. I see a bit of snow left up top there. Nice to see. Well, have a great new year mate. All the best. Mark
Thank you Mark all the very best for the new year bud. Yes 4th time up there looking for the site, it's in a remote spot well off the main track in deep heather. A lonely wind blasted spot, we had a quiet moment and left Take care. Mick.
@@blamhof A pleasure as always Mick. And thanks -see what unfolds in 2023. Yeah, it looks a great remote spot - don't you just love em? Good on you for paying your respects.
Cheers I don't put much effort into videoing these days plus we were getting battered in the freezing wind haha. There are 6 sites on The Cheviot the Vickers Warwick near the main path being the easiest to find, also the Flying Fortress near Braydon Crag which I have visited but this one was much harder to find, not much wreckage just a few bits at the bottom of the memorial post. I have also been looking for a site near Woolhope Crag but also very difficult to find and no luck yet. The last 2, one is near the summit but also hard to find as there is no memorial and hardly any wreckage and one is on West Hill which I have not looked for yet. Take care. Mick.
Looks very windy at the top 😊 glad you finally managed to find the site. Nice photos
Thank you Yasmin

Weather was bad so good find ticked off
Thank you yes pleased I found it, in previous attempts I was too low down and hard work walking in knee height heather. Take care. Mick.
Nice one Mick.😀

Mount square root 😄
wow yeah here close to Arnhem loads of downed RAF planes from market garden. Easier to find, though.
Yes always sad to visit these sites, a few more up there but not easy to find them in the heather. All the very best for 2023 Mr. S. Mick
